Bon Appetit Cuisine

This was my first dive in African food and so far everything I’ve tried has been delicious. I used to live down the street but I moved about a month and a half ago and man do I miss being able to just walk down to street to get some red snapper and plantains! The customer service is impeccable, they help you go through the menu with things you are unsure about to help you make the right decision and the restaurant has always been clean and neat looking. Food has never taken more than 15 minutes to be prepared and like I said every meal has been delicious! I can’t wait to go back.

I came here because someone said they serve delicious food + I really wanted to taste more African food at a new place. I ordered Grilled Tilapia with plantains and red rice, Fataya, and soda. I really loved it! Everything tasted good. My favorite? Definitely the fish. The sauces had nice flavors too. Very quiet + nice place. Deserves more customers honestly. The man at the counter seemed friendly :) I'd recommend eating here - especially for students who want to eat new foods outside of campus.

1st time trying african cuisine, and this place ensured it wont be my last. The parking lot is tight. There is probably only 5-7 spots available. Inside was clean. You self-seat and order at the counter when ready. Appetizers took about 8min and entrees took about 20. The Fataya and Nems sealed the deal for me. I would have been full n satisifed if thats all I ate. The lamb dishes were full of flavor. Jollof rice wasnt as good as expected tho. Plaintain were cooked perfectly. Overall a good, wholesome, filling meal. Parking and loud kitchen conversations were turnoffs, but they just need a bigger place to handle both if those. I will be back when in the area again.

Had the whole red snapper. It was perfectly marinated and cooked with an amazing side of fried plantains.

Food is excellent! Server was very attentive and love the Afrobeats in the background! You will not be disappointed!!!

Amazing family run restaurant, bringing new flavors to Ypsilanti. The portions were generous and the food was delicious. The jerk chicken was flavorful and juicy. It had a slow burn. We also enjoyed the lamb with the mustard sauce. Excited to try more!

Excellent Food! I enjoyed dinner here at Bon Appetit. I ordered the Red Snapper dinner with yellow rice and plantains...Everything was Delicious! My husband had the Jerk Chicken and a salad, He loved it!!! Great Authentic African food. We will be returning!

Had the jerked chicken with jollof rice and plantains for sides. I'm not a fan of rice, but I really liked it. Plantains were wonderful. The chicken was great! There was a dipping sauce that I could almost drink. Bought their ginger water. Sweet with a hint of coconut at the end. Went great with the meal.
