The hotel is located in excellent area. Everything is close by and on walking distance. When I was there, heavy construction work was going on on the streets (outside the control of the hotel). Hotel rooms was bit small but overall I enjoyed my stay. The bed was comfortable and the house keeping was great at keep room clean. Bathroom was roomy and clean. There was mini fridge in the room but no bar. Coffee and tea packets were available. I did not try the breakfast option as there were so many other options around the hotel. The only negative point is that during my stay the place was noisy, even at night when there was no construction work. They need to provide noise isolation. TIP: Try to avoid the front facing rooms (over looking Imperial Pub) because of noise. Also ask for the top most floor room, you might get good views.

Excellent location. Room was very clean and comfortable. The glass door to the bathroom was noisy and did not provide much privacy (which is not a problem as long as you are comfortable with people you are sharing your room with). The hot/cold tap for the sink was reversed. It was somewhat loud being next to Dundas Street. There was a fridge and lots of storage for clothes. Other than very very minor issues, the room was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, and staff were very helpful.

This place is great honestly. The location is literally beside Young and Dundas Square. Perfect for walking around the city. The hotel is very modern and the rooms are great. the Decor and the paintings are great. The premier queen size room is a bit small - there isn't much to it but the hotel is a great price and the staff is great. If your not spending a lot of time in the room you won't even notice the size of the room, it is small but it isn't uncomfortably small. Overall, will book with them again very impressed.

I paid $200 to stay in a room at this hotel. The room we got was more like a small bachelor apartment. The decor was outdated and all the craftsmanship looked sub par. Our shower didn’t have any body wash in the dispenser, the air conditioner smelled like mould. The staff was not friendly or welcoming. The bed didn’t have fitted sheets so the bedding would come off easily to expose the mattress underneath while you’re sleeping on it. The shower still had clumps of hair in it when we arrived. Wifi was an additional $12 on top of what we already paid! The only towels they provided was two bath towels and nothing else. As far as bare minimum goes, this hotel just scrapes by. Also when we checked out the concierge didn’t even ask us how our stay was, which I think is pretty standard at any good hotel.

Location, location, location!!! Steps away from the Eaton centre. Next to Dundas Square. Walking Distance to all of downtown, waterfront, CN tower, arenas, restaurants and the Aquarium. The room itself was very small, however the new trendy updated renovations make up for the size. The bathroom is fully stocked with amenities and the beds are comfortable. The heating/ cooling worked great! Old windows but they operate fine. The front desk staff were pleasant but not in a hurry to welcome new guests. The housekeeping staff were all very friendly and helpful! Parking was challenging as a first time customer. Parking is across the street in a parking garage which was easy once I asked the front desk staff for directions on parking. The parking lot is located under the building in this photo. Loved staying here and will be back in August.

Google
Fantastic location right downtown Dundas. Had a room on the sixteenth floor with incredible views. The room was a little small but this is downtown. The staff were fantastic and accommodating. Decor was pretty tasteful. Got a great deal when booking that included parking and Internet in the price. And while the parking is close and convenient the Internet was pretty terrible. It took far too long to get connected and when you did you could time your soft boiled eggs by your disconnections. I'd have been right angry if I had paid the extra the hotel charges for it. At least there's an exercise room on the second floor.

Google
Very nice facilities and staff also the pricing seems very fair for the location. The building is secure once you head to your room as there is a key card required to get past the main level. I have only rated it 4 stars instead of 5 as it took them over a month to reimburse my security deposit. In regards to this if i had not noticed I would have been out the money in general when normally they just put a hold on a card they full out withdrew it from my account then couldnt put it back into that account so had to put it onto a different account. However.... great hotel very clean and comfortable.

We stayed here on our wedding night and it was perfect. With a little extra wait time we were given the best room! They provided me with a place to change out of my wedding dress, a place to go while we waited (the museum literally right beside) and a bottle of wine with a note. It was the perfect end to our day. Would 100% recommend, the location and staff were fantastic!

Yelp
Across the street from the #1 Dundas subway station , a great location to get around Toronto. The hotel is very clean. The employees are friendly and accommodating. The location is ideally located near churches, department stores and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again , location is everything!

Yelp
I booked this hotel because I couldn't get anything better in the surrounding area for a 1 night stay in the same price range. The street the hotel is located on is a little sketchy at night and it's very noisy because it's right in the heart of downtown Toronto. However, check-in and check-out staff were great - super efficient. I had no problems finding my way around this hotel. I paid $10 extra for wifi with unlimited device connections and connected to it right away after following their instructions printed out on a paper. The room is very basic, with two twin beds. The view from my room isn't very nice so I kept the blinds closed. The bathroom has a sliding door, which was fine since I stayed in the room alone but there is no way I would not be able to share that room with anyone else. I'm a private person so this hotel is only ok when traveling alone for 1 night. Somehow I managed to sleep really well in that tiny bed!! I switched on the AC to drown out the sound of the cars on the street and used the second duvet to stay warm lol It's centrally located though so very convenient if traveling to and from billy bishop airport. I would recommend this hotel to people looking for an economical hotel downtown Toronto with short durations and traveling alone.

Ron B.

Yelp
Pretty basic hotel but located in an excellent location close to Eaton Centre. The windows & floors aren't well insulated so I got some draft going on cold nights in my 4th floor room. The shower was very good. The mattress waaayyyy too soft. Not many elevators so in the AM it can be a bit of a wait. For breakfast, the nearly "The Senator" is excellent and better than the a la Carter in the hotel.

Kate Y.

Yelp
PROS This place is located 2 minutes from the Dundas subway station, which is super convenient. It's 2 minutes away from the Toronto Eaton Centre, the super mall. The room was clean with hardwood floors. Cheap rates (probably because we came off peak in January). CONS The bathroom - sigh. The door is not really a door. It's like closet sliding wood door (I wish we had the nice glass ones people are talking about). This sliding door did not lock, and it does not come even close to where you feel like you have any privacy. After sliding it "closed", there is still about 2 inches of space between the door and bathroom. So, you hear EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING. Now, if you are traveling alone - no problem. If you are traveling as a couple who love each other no matter what - no problem. But, if you plan on sharing a room with a friend or grandmother - I don't think so. The only good thing I can say is that we had very good ventilation. Wifi - you will be charged $8.95 + tax (comes out to about $10) per day. Now, I don't think this is okay. These days, free wifi is pretty standard - I'd rather you "hide" that charge in the room fee, rather charge me separately. It's all about perception - and it's not good when I have to shell out money for wifi, especially since I experienced issues with the Internet on/off. If you are going to charge for wifi, it needs to work 100% of the time. FYI only In order to use the elevator to go up to your room, you must use your room key in order for the elevator to work. Pro - security measure. Con - sense of security.

Yelp
The Bond Place Hotel was situated in a convenient location in downtown Toronto. My initial impression of the premises was underwhelming. The exterior was drab and the walls seeped of neutral grey. It turned out that the hotel was in cahoots with a nearby parking garage for the semi-robber baron rate of $25. This lot was poorly marked and we missed it upon arrival; a particularly frustrating scenario as the honking and hollerin' of downtown traffic pressed us into a competitor's arms. This back-alley swindler charged us $35, but I winced in a less pronounced manner as I reached for my wallet as he was unaffiliated with what I would soon consider to be a shoddy accommodation. We made our way into the lobby and were met with a a rather half-hearted greeting from an indifferent admissions agent. She proceeded to tell us our room number and where the elevators were. Our quivering fingers depressed the 'up' arrow, and 5 frustrating minutes passed before we threw up the white flag. Was this thing busted? Were our looks to the desk being ignored? Either way, we made our way to the stairs, which you had to descend before ascend, according to our unenthusiastic host. If I was not gasping for air due to the stairs I would have been at the sight of our room. This thing was 11x11 and the opposite of heaven. We had entered a Canadian Japan that was little more than a bed and a bathroom. The window view was a majestic (READ: Dismal) view of a rat-infested competitor parking lot with added sound effects of blaring car horns as a lullaby for night-night. Other fun notes: -Broken-down elevators -No continental breakfast -No complimentary WiFi -One card key -Shady exterior doors

Yelp
I really liked this little hotel. It's very reasonably priced and while it's not super upmarket, the hotel has clearly taken measures to make the hotel and rooms look modern and inviting. It was clean, bright, and comfortable, and completely served the purpose we needed for a nights stay in Toronto. A nice bonus was that it was fairly easy to get to, as well as stop and park while we dropped off our bags and get settled. If I need a stop in Toronto, I would go to the Bond Place again.

Yelp
I'm giving this hotel a 3.5 stars as a compromise between my husband and I. I'll start off with what we liked. The location is prime with its proximity to Yonge-Dundas Square, Dundas station, Eaton Centre, Ed Mirvish theatre, and plenty of eateries. The room was clean, the bed comfy, and it was priced very well for where we were. If you're going to do a lot of exploring of the city and won't be spending much time in your room, then this would be an ideal place to stay. However, I'm not inclined to stay here again. The customer service is hit and miss. The check-in process was unsatisfactory. She asked me for a credit card as they usually do and that was about it. She didn't mention the room number at all. On the bright side, I can read and so I found it written on the cover of the key card. But she failed to mention anything. I later had to call down and ask about parking and wifi. Which leads me to my second complaint, how is wifi not included? We paid about $10 for wifi when almost all other hotels have it. Lastly, the concept of the sliding door for the bathroom. There is minimal privacy and it's also inconvenient because if you don't push it the right way it can just open up on you.

Anthony S.

Yelp
Was in the city for a wedding.. Booked this hotel for its location, which is about all its good for. They charge extra for absolutely everything.. Which is understandable since it's right downtown in the middle of the city, but on the contrary in 2016 things like wifi and changing my room accommodations from two twins to a queen shouldn't cost extra (especially when they have the empty rooms). Also, the elevators here are slower than molasses. Upsides to this place were the location, obviously .. and the parking was only $19. Usually downtown I pay $30-40 for overnight underground. This place was cheaper than others, but I Wouldn't recommend it unless you'll be right at Yonge/Dundas. A lot better places to stay in the DT core.

Yelp
I am staying here now. My father was admitted to st michaels hospital and this hotel is a short walk. Much better than making the comute from north york daily. Rooms are small but efficient. Clean and simple rooms. This is located in central downtown so obviously there is lots of noise outside. A higher floor should help with that. Or bring ear plugs. This is not the hotels fault, this is downtown! Lots of food options nearby, burritos, the eaton centre. This hotel was wonderful for me so that I could nap and go back and forth to the hospital within a 5 min walk all day and all night. If you are walking to and from the hospital late night, walk on Victoria and not Bond street. Less sketchy. For the price, it is totally worth it. Those who complain should stay at a more upscale hotel with higher prices. Rooms are small, but as small as they are in asia or europe.

Yelp
I've been staying at the Bond for close to 4 years now on and off. This hotel is located right behind Dundas Square making its location perfect for those looking to stay in the downtown core. The lobby here is very nice and you usually get helped as soon as you walk and the staff here has always been super friendly and easy to work with as well. The rooms in this hotel have a pretty cool/modern look to them and feature all the basics you would need in a downtown hotel. The beds are extremely comfortable (which is really all I care about), the TV has on demand (but who is spending $24.99 to rent a movie), and the wash room is always clean and full of soap and shampoo. Overall, this might not be my favourite place to stay in Toronto but I've certainly never had a bad experience coming here. Overall, it's a great place to stay downtown!

Yelp
2/24/2019 to 2/26/2019: Nice hotel, lovely room (Room 1005). I just wished they served free breakfast. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant is just so-so. I didn't like the fact that they served JoJo(s) with scrambled eggs. Why didn't they have hash browns instead of JoJo(s)? Here is our story when we were in Toronto: http://jazmaonline.boards.net/thread/686/haunting-toronto-canada

Yelp
the area and price of this place is great but I was told that when I arrived there would be a room for me and then I was told that I had to wait 6 hours for a room?! I understand that it takes time to clean a room but MULTIPLE people have checked out since I got here? I don't understand, plus the woman at the front desk (indian/middle eastern looking) is incredibly rude about the whole situation. she's belittling and made me feel like I was the unreasonable one when i was just asking questions and asking if there were any rooms available. if I come back to Toronto I won't be coming back to this place that's forsure. ++++ online it says there is free wifi at this hotel-- nope! don't be fooled haha, this place is a joke.

Tava H.

Yelp
This is a great hotel if you need a place to stay in downtown Toronto for a night or two. The location is amazing, and since it's so close to the eaton centre and just about everything else dt you'll save a lot of money on transportation. The wifi is great and the staff are super friendly. The only downside is that the rooms are small and the washroom door doesn't shut all the way. The washroom has a sliding door which minimizes privacy. If you're sharing a room with someone make sure you're close to them because after one washroom visit you'll be on a whole new level of close. Overall, if you can get this hotel for a cheap price like I did it is worth it. However, if you had to spend a fortune on one of these rooms I'd pass because of the small space and the washroom door.

Maria M.

Yelp
The rooms in this place are tiny. Our bed didn't have a fitted sheet. The shampoo dispenser was empty. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. The location is great. A ton to do in the area.

Ken L.

Yelp
Rooms are very small. They will book 4 people into a room with 2 single beds there is not room for 4 people. If you are a team do not book this hotel. 11.00 a night WiFi. I have never paid for Wi-Fi ever. Customer service was meh. They did not help us with the issue of small room and had no extras to the point they did not even have a garbage in the lobby. If you are a couple that wants to be in Down town this maybe for you but for teams and family's sorry not on my list of places to stay in Toronto.

El P.

Yelp
Here's the thing--not even the Sheraton downtown offers free wifi (what the fuck, Canada?), so quit bitching about the lack of wifi. Use your data plan; god knows you're paying out the wazoo for it. Yes, you're right in the center/re of downtown and yes, it looks like IKEA threw up in your room. Problems? No. The door to the bathroom slides across--if you have an issue hearing your travel companion shitting, you should reconsider travel. Seriously, everybody poops. Get over it. What else did people complain about needlessly? The room isn't large, but how big are you? Honestly, where do these people normally stay that they're used to constant wifi (go outside!), noiseless shitting, and spacious accommodations? Enjoy Toronto and stop whining.

Annie P.

Yelp
Despite the below average reviews, we had an awesome stay here! Just an FYI, this is a "no frills" hotel, so there's no spa or bellhop service, but they do have an adjoining restaurant as well as room service. This is the type of hotel you would just sleep, shower, and change your clothes. There's also a gym if you would like to get a quick workout in during your stay. The outside of the hotel and the hallways are outdated, but the rooms were modern (for the most part) and clean. The rooms reminded me of NYC - - they were small but the space was utilized well. WiFi isn't included with the room and costs $10/day. (I have an international data plan so I didn't need it) As other reviewers mentioned, the bathrooms have sliding doors, but it wasn't a huge problem for me. Check-in was swift and friendly, (they allowed us to check in 2 hours early) and they also provided us with a map of downtown Toronto. Housekeeping was also very courteous and always asked us if we needed anything for our room whenever we ran into them in the hallways. The location itself is 5 stars. It's located literally 100 feet away from Dundas-Yonge Square, which is basically the Times Square of Toronto. There's a variety of different restaurants to dine at, shopping (you're about 200 feet away from Eaton Center Mall), and tons of street entertainment. You're 150 feet away from the subway station and cabs are plentiful in this area as well. This hotel is totally worth it for the price and the location. I would definitely stay here again!

Jenn S.

Yelp
If you are under 30 this place is for you. If you are over 30 and expect a nice relaxing place - not for you. There was lots of action happening in the hallways so if that kind of noise bothers you then you should also reconsider. It wasn't a problem for us but I imagined myself staying there with my mom and her locking the doors and not wanting to come out. ROOM: We arrived and the staff was really nice. We were even a little early and they let us check in with no problem. Our room was fine for the most part. I really, really, really dislike when the beds do not have fitted sheets. When I pulled the top sheet it took off the bottom sheet that lays on top of the mattress and there were a few "hairs" that were stuck to the mattress and that was not a fun thing to see. PLEASE GET SOME FITTED SHEETS because ewe..... As others have noted about the bathroom door ---it is a sliding door with NO privacy but I didn't care because I was with my boyfriend who I live with so we are used to no privacy. LOCATION: The location you can't beat! I don't know why people said its not in a nice neighborhood... what do you expect its a city .... and where do you live in the woods?! It's seriously right down the street from Dundas Square, a happening tourist spot and there was not a time I didn't feel safe. If people are referring to the one homeless person we saw one day outside the door than get over yourself. THE WIFI SITUATION: SOOO bizarre that wifi is not included. It's everywhere else in the city... give me a break! Customers should not have to pay for that. BUT there is free wifi in the Dundas Square so you can go there if you need to use. It is also practically at every business we went to.

Shameek R.

Yelp
Yelpers, DON'T SLEEP on the Bond Place Hotel (I mean, of course, sleep here once you've done traipsing for the day around this amazing metropolitan hub of humanity). The value for the location, accommodation, and amenities is pretty damn good. Bond Place Hotel is AMAZING, for the price and the location you can't beat the accommodations - hands down. I think it's practically impossible to get accommodations like this for the value charged in a major world city. One block from Younge-Dundas Square - arguably the Times Square of Toronto - a hotel of similar accommodations in NYC would cost double if not triple the price the hotel is currenlty charging. Free wifi; clean and modern rooms; stylish bathrooms; availability of computer and business center in the lobby area - definite conviences. Did I mention ONE BLOCK FROM EVERYTHING? Is it the cheapest option? Nope. You get what you pay for - and for paying somewhat of a premium (within the $100-$200 a night range), you get downtown accommodations that could easily cost you double/triple in other cities/areas. Why not five stars? I don't know yet. This is only my first time, but I'm having a blast here. I guess the beds could be a bit more comfortable. I guess I could have gotten a room with a better view. I guess they should have free breakfast included. I guess I'm being nitpicky - but in all honesty, I'd need to come back again and have repeat service/accommodations/experience before I'd give five stars (in my opinion of course - that's why this is my Yelp review). But when I do return to Toronto (definitely looking to come back in the future), Bond Place Hotel will be my first look.

Marybel L.

Yelp
Amazing location, you don't need a car, they have a parking garage if you have a car but you have to pay $25 per day. Mall, restaurants, movie theater right there. small rooms with everything you need in it, WiFi not the best but Hey, they have it for you! They have 3 fast elevators all working (love that) We had a great time here, totally recommended!! (Free WiFi)

Suor K.

Yelp
This review is specifically for the conference center on the bottom floor. My company is known for frugality, so it probably makes sense that we would choose this location for a group of 100+ software developers. We had a 2-day training meeting here and there were so many problems with this place. To start, given that we're all tech employees, the one thing we need for training as well as work is internet access. Most of us could not get (wired) internet access to work. Wireless was slow as molasses. Dial-up would have been faster. We had problems with the microphone as well. I also recall coming back from lunch and the power block that my laptop was connected to was off. Flipping the switches on the power block had no effect. The coffee, water, and morning snacks that the hotel provided for us was very good.

Kurt P.

Yelp
Location is the best thing this hotel has going for it. Room is very basic but clean. Elevators not working properly - long waits. No bar or restaurant. Lobby is uninviting. $10.95 per day for WiFi

Melissa K.

Yelp
I'm going to start off by saying that for US$95 (fees included) a night, I thought I would at least get free wifi. Depending on which link you click on for the hotel, wifi is listed under entertainment along with the other included amenities. Check in was smooth and easy, the front desk staff was nice. The room is clean and looks to be newly remodeled IKEA vibe. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was clean so that is why I gave the 3 star rating and not less. Other details... They claim to have a bar/lounge at the hotel but there is not one. However there is an attached restaurant that was not open when I checked in. I had to go to vending machines on 3 different floors to find one that either worked or had water in it. There was only one pillow per bed and no extra blankets. Sleeping in is impossible with the loud flushing toilets (in other rooms) as well as my own. The walls are paper thin so you hear people's conversations (from their room) in the hallway and the doors are Very Loud.

Alyssa M.

Yelp
Bond Place Hotel is a wonderful place to stay in downtown Toronto. The location is superb. The rooms are small, but chic. It was a very simple room with only room for a bed. The view from our 15th floor room was superb. The bathroom was very small, but it served its purpose. I would suggest being VERY close with whomever you're vacationing with (if there's two or more of you) because the bathroom is simply a pocket door, meaning that the door just slides in front of the doorway, and you can hear EVERYTHING going on in there. As far as hearing other people in other rooms, we didn't seem to have an issue with that. All in all, for our 2 night stay, we couldn't have asked for a better location. To top it off, the restaurant in the lobby was phenomenal also. The service was quick, and the staff was great.

Elinor H.

Yelp
Stayed here with my partner for four nights in January. The rooms were clean and you couldn't get a better location right in the city centre. The staff were mostly friendly however of you want wifi you have to pay a ridiculous free of $10.95 per 24 hours! Unheard of in this day and age!

Kristen H.

Yelp
Such a great location, central to everywhere I was wanting to go! This was my first time visiting Toronto and I wasn't sure where I wanted to stay or where I'd be hanging out but this was more than perfect. Also, the staff was so accommodating - let me drop off my luggage before check in and kept it after checking out since I had some time to burn before heading to the airport. Would 100% stay here again!

Andrea T.

Yelp
Stayed with a couple of friends for a birthday party. Room was beautiful, renovated and clean. Small space, but you just sleep here right? Bed was comfortable, shower head was nice and strong, guest service was friendly, easy check in and check outS Close to many things downtown. Great stay, would stay again!

Francois F.

Yelp
Ice machine was only working on 2 floors. Bed bugs in some rooms. Rooms needed additional cleaning.

Juliette L.

Yelp
The location of the property is great, as it is only about a 5-10 minute walk to the CF Eaton Centre, and there are also plenty of restaurants and shops around. As for the room itself, the standard room is cute but a bit small, but for 2 people it's perfect. The room wasn't in perfect condition, however, as some of the decals on the wall were peeling off, the desk lamp didn't work and was basically just a decoration, and the TV channels didn't work at all. My BF and i were only in Toronto for 2 nights so we didn't really mind, we just watched youtube instead, but still, the TV should work. Additionally; Netflix is an option on the "smart TV" but according to the front desk it just "wasn't available". why even have netflix on the TV as an option if guests aren't able to access it? As for the bathroom, it was really cute but some of the grout lines were dirty, and the shower head leaked all over the bathroom floor. I also found a long blonde hair on the counter. Room service never came (had sign on the door all day), yet woke us up next morning at 9:00 when we had already taken the sign off. As for amenities, the gym had a couple of treadmills and ellipticals, and weights that only went up to 25 lbs?? There is no complimentary water or coffee, like most hotels provide. All in all, our stay wasn't bad, and the proximity to the city was great, however, the hotel wasn't as clean and accommodating as we feel it should have been. But that being said, if you're only staying for a couple days or so, it's alright and in a convenient location.

Nicole H.

Yelp
I don't think I have ever rated an establishment as low as I have this one. Unfortunately, I just don't think this place has their act together. If your ONLY requirement is a bed for the night then this place will do but otherwise, keep looking. I should have known something was up after I booked my room. Keep in mind that I booked directly through the hotel website and prepaid for my stay. I booked the Shop 'til You Drop Package that is supposed to include free wireless internet and underground parking for 1 vehicle. My email confirmation did not include this info and when I went back to the hotel website 2 days later I could no longer find the package. I called the hotel to confirm my booking and the details. They had no info on the package I booked. They conceded that free internet was included but not parking ( see exhibit A). Fine. Not that big of a deal. I arrived early on Friday afternoon and was able to check into our room early which was great. I did, of course, have to remind them again that I purchased a package with the internet Nicky because they were getting ready to charge me. I then asked the concierge for a lunch recommendation, somewhere near by but good. She suggested a chain bar with burgers and fries. I then prompted her for perhaps something little more ethnic or diverse. The next suggestion was the food court at The Eaton Center because there was an A&W and a McDonalds. I just stared at the woman for a few moments and then walked away. We got back to the room at about 8pm that night and wanted to watch a bit of TV, however, the 2 TVs in the room weren't working after an hour and a half of different people in and out of the room and farting around it was determined that there was no way the TVs would work because they weren't wired to the system correctly. The night manger was very kind and offered us free breakfast the next morning. I say thank you and decide these things happen. After we figure out that the TV's won't be working at all the internet COMPLETELY STOPS WORKING. At this point I'm exhausted and beyond frustrated and I just go to bed. The next morning I'm still unable to connect to the internet so we call the front desk. They have us jockeying up and down the stairs so they can help us with the code (which we obviously had already successfully entered because we had been using the service). By the third time I tell them NO, that we need a new room, one with working TV's and internet (BTW I had payroll that needed to be submitted and work that I was trying to take care of after hours.) The hotel did not have comparable room available so we had the option of waiting until a room was available "NO" or repacking all of our stuff and bringing it to the lobby so we could schlep it back up to the new room at the end of the day "NOPE". The front desk finally came to the conclusion that it would be best if they moved our luggage to the new room when it was available. At the end of the day, one of us takes a shower to realize that there is no soap in the dispenser. I decide I need a cocktail and I can't find the ice machine. I call the front desk and the tell me ice is on the 3rd and the 15th floor. My new room is on the 13th floor so I go up 2 floors to discover that the ice machine isn't even plugged in. I then head back down to the 3rd floor and manage to get some ice but the house phone that is supposed to be on every floor has been ripped out so I didn't bother telling them about the ice machine. Now, I couldn't catch up on what had been happening in the world that day while enjoying my hard earned cocktail because the fricken TV's were out again! This time the TV was wired right but the whole hotel was having problems. By the third night it appeared the finally got the kinks worked out of this renting rooms thing but I was done. I was pushed over the edge on the last morning when the internet stopped working before 8am. This place is at a great location but I really don't think the hassle is worth it. Keep in mind I am a pretty low maintenance guest. I am up and gone first thing in the morning and usually don't return until late in the evening. Check in was a bit of a hassle because if you drive in to town there is no where to stop and unload your luggage and get your check in and parking situated. I was actually thankful that I was able to find a spot to park illegally and facing the wrong direction because I had no other option. And the free breakfast that we had came with a SINGLE cup of coffee....oh, I'm sorry, you want a warm up on that coffee? You need to buy another cup. This place looks great on the website but it is like lipstick on a pig. I even new the reviews were a bit lackluster but I thought I'm not really that high maintenance, it'll be fine. HA! Famous last words. Just keep looking people this place is not worth th frustration.

Yelp
The ice machines didn't work and it was the middle of summer. They only have 3 of them in the entire hotel and I went from machine to machine just trying to get ice. The staff was friendly which is why it earned two stars instead on 1 or zero. The tv only worked intermittently and it is not in the best area of Toronto. We often heard sirens and screaming from the large homeless population outside. It would be worth it to stay a bit outside of downtown and walk or rideshare in.

Yelp
I paid $200 to stay in a room at this hotel. The room we got was more like a small bachelor apartment. The decor was outdated and all the craftsmanship looked sub par. Our shower didn't have any body wash in the dispenser, the air conditioner smelled like mould. The staff was not friendly or welcoming. The bed didn't have fitted sheets so the bedding would come off easily to expose the mattress underneath while you're sleeping on it. The shower still had clumps of hair in it when we arrived. Wifi was an additional $12 on top of what we already paid! The only towels they provided was two bath towels and nothing else. As far as bare minimum goes, this hotel just scrapes by. Also when we checked out the concierge didn't even ask us how our stay was, which I think is pretty standard at any good hotel.

Yelp
Pros: - Location - Clean room Cons: - Parking was not secure at all and literally anyone can buzz in despite what you are told. When we checked out the attendant wasn't there so we had to wait for him to return so we could leave. Seriously. - Elevators were not working. We were told by staff not to use them...we were on the 17th floor so that was a problem. There are 3 elevators and eventually one was fixed however there still were lines to get upstairs - Wifi was weak - When calling the front desk nobody picked up several times - Way too expensive.

Yelp
We spent a night here during our stop in Toronto. The price was pretty cheap compared to everything else in Toronto. The hotel itself and the rooms are sleek looking, but the rooms are tiny. This worked out fine for us since we only used the room to sleep and were outside the rest of the time. The bathroom has a sliding door and is right next to the bed - so there is no privacy, if you need it. The front desk was pretty nice and straight to the point. We received the free wifi password. The parking is across the street and is an indoor garage which was pretty packed when we got there. As far as location, it felt like it was in the center of everything. We walked to Dundas Square, Air Centre Canada, CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium, and to various restaurants in the area. Bad thing? I found a few hair strands (not mine or my husband's) in the bed sheets. Made me wonder if they were even changed???

Yelp
Central location was the only "plus" of this hotel. Outside was unappealing, with trash piled near the front door. Parking is miserable - I thought I hit the lottery in that I found parking on the street overnight in an area that indicated "no parking 8 a.m. - 6 pm" but I got a ticket anyway. The staff was indifferent. At check in the clerk talked on the phone while attempting to get me my room keys. The room was small. It was clean, but tired. The noise from the street kept me awake and woke me early. The room was not inexpensive and I probably gotten a better value elsewhere.

Yelp
I reserved this on a whim, through Expedia, and thought I was getting an okay deal in comparison to other hotels. After spending a night here, I wish I had spent the extra 30$ for a better hotel. My room looked like the photos, only shoebox-sized. Tiny. The decor is modern-cheap. Lot of fake wood with sharp angles and bright colors. From afar, the room looks great, but there's certain big things like peeling wall paper and a backed up bathtub that make it hard like this hotel. Didn't really spend too much time in the hotel except for sleeping, but it sucked to get back to your hotel after a long day and discover you can't shower. When I called the front desk in the morning, they tried to offer a different room and offer us the gym shower, but by 9am i just wanted to get out of there. The location of this hotel was fantastic, I'll give them that. Customer service was ok too. It's the awful quality of everything in this hotel mixed with the shoebox-sized rooms that make this hotel not worth the price. Also, charging for wifi - really?

Yelp
Gretchen P and I needed an inexpensive place to stay for a night in Toronto, and everything was booked up, or the prices were inflated due to the PanAm games. We found the Bond Place Hotel on HotelTonight, and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The front desk staff were kind and while the lobby is quite small, it was pleasant enough. You need to swipe your key to use the elevator, which is a pet peeve of mine, but I suppose it's a safety precaution. Our room was small, but clean and tidy, and while it was very basic, it was exactly what we needed. A queen size bed and a pull out couch that was surprisingly comfortable. The sliding door in the bathroom is a bit odd, but I understand it saves space. We got a package that included wifi, but if you don't, you do have to pay. This place seems to be a gathering spot for a bit of a rowdy crow, as we did hear several party animals on our floor. The location is fantastic, which lots of options for food and entertainment nearby. Our room has a wonderful view of the city as well. If I was looking for a low-cost option in the city, I would certainly stay here again.

Yelp
Great location & view- near all of the bars and nightlife activity. We stayed one night just to go out with friends for the evening. Parking ramp available for $25CAD. They charge a $250CAD refundable security deposit on arrival. Overall, good experience but rooms are deceivingly small!

Yelp
Good location if you want to be right downtown. Reception was ok. Rooms are small but fine. Parking is $25 a day. WiFi is $10 a day.

Yelp
The location and price of this hotel make it a gem. This hotel is located near everything you would need to see or do. There are tons of restaurants and places to shop at within steps of the hotel. The size of the room wasn't too bad. You get a fridge, coffee maker (with coffee), a hair dryer, soaps/shampoo, tv, and alarm clock with a iPhone 30 pin charger built in. Many people commented on the privacy of the sliding door for the bathroom, but seriously, you're already sharing a bed with the person you're with. The style of furniture was "IKEA like" so it wasn't high quality, just trendy. The lobby was modern and had arm chairs and tables to sit at. At one point, we got a quesadilla from a place across the street, brought it back, and ate it at the table in the lobby. (The quesadilla wasn't that good so I wouldn't do that again.) I liked the safety features of the elevators. You needed to swipe your room key to get the elevator to move. We have already discussed going back to stay at this hotel because the location was fantastic, the price was right, and the room was decent.

Yelp
The room was tiny! The sliding bathroom door was annoying. The building was very noisy. Our reservations were screwed up and they deactivated our keys while we were out for the night. We didn't find out they weren't going to work until 11:45 when we returned to our room. The wifi was expensive and not great. We were never told about the parking garage when we checked in, so we ended up using the city lot across the street. The only upside to this place was that the staff was incredibly friendly and tried to help with these problems. Too bad there were so many problems...

Yelp
The Bond Place hotel is as central as it gets when it comes to finding an accomodation in Downtown Toronto. Right near Yonge-Dundas square, its uber convenient if you and your friends are having a night out. The rates are very fair which is a great bonus for such a busy area. Nearby there are many restaurants and many bars. Of course, bay street, Eaton centre, the CN tower and many other attractions are within walking distance as well. On the outside, the hotel seems sub-par, however, once inside, you are greeted by a modernly renovated lobby area. The rooms are renovated as well and generally, it is quite clean. The wood flooring in the rooms is much more reassuring of cleanliness to me than carpet would be. Additionally, I planned a surprise party at a hotel room and the staff were very willing to help. I really appreciated it and I will remember this hotel when I am in Toronto next time. There are some downsides however. Parking is 20-30/night. The cheaper option means you need to be out by 12pm otherwise you will need to pay the more expensive price. Another downside is the really really slow elevator. It was a bit awkward waiting for so long. Overall though, as mentioned above, I would return.

Yelp
The 2 male parking attendants there are the kindest most genuine gentlemen I've encountered. They go above and beyond to provide excellent service time after time. They're always in a good mood and provide a nice conversation. I have never once entered or left that garage after speaking with them, in a bad mood. With the hustle and bustle of the busy city it is not often you are met with people that are willing to stop for a moment and chat. They are dedicated to their work while providing excellent customer service. Whenever I drive into the city I park there because of them. If they have the chance to see this message please tell them the girl in the red Hummer says thank you thank you thank you!

Yelp
As for its location, its great. Just off Dundas Sq by the TV studio you are located within walking distance of all main amenities of downtown and somewhat beyond. The Eaton shopping centre, tim hortons, starbucks, mcds, cineam, subway, tram network, st mikes hospital, a 10 min walk to the gay village and probably just under a 30 min stroll to the CN Tower. Although not inviting from the outside, The inside lobby area is modern as was my room. With very accurate and modern climate control (essential mid-winter and mid-summer), wooden floor, modern bathroom and a good LCD TV even if it did have a poor selection of channels. The room was cleaned every day and bed linen changed too. Towels were a little small but did the job! If the price is right then you won't be disappointed with this place, but its not exactly worth a high end boutique hotel price. As for rating its worth a 3 1/2 stars, but not quite 4. Another reason is that I was here for 10 nights on business and wifi was NOT included, so had to be purchased. In this day and age, wifi should be included as a basic commodity, hence I only stay in hotels myself that offer this when I am paying the bill.

Yelp
I've seen the price jump since I went here, or maybe I just got a good deal.. I don't think I would have liked this hotel if I paid as much as I see some people have. Positives - location is great. You are right near Yonge/Dundas Street, Eaton Shopping Centre, and the trams/buses. The hotel was renovated a few years ago and the interior has a very modern look to it. The rooms were very clean. I loved my room and found that the bed was extremely comfortable to sleep on. Concierge was helpful and allowed me to store my luggage with them on my last day there so I didn't have to walk around Dundas Square with all my bags. Negatives - the hallways can get noisy late at night with people coming in from a night of partying - this did not bother me but I could see it affecting light sleepers. Also, although I loved the design of the rooms, they were pretty small in size. Again, this did not bother me but I could see it bothering others.

Yelp
TORONTO..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was my first time visiting. While planning my trip, and though i had a car rental, i still wanted to stay near Dundas Centre. It was about 100 yards from the hotel entrance.... SCORE! When we got there, i checked in, and remembered that there was supposed to be a parking lot. OK, its across the street?? are you f*cking kidding me? so we parked at this dungeon across the street, and came over to the hotel. i understand that security is an issue, so they have a card reader installed in the elevator. Its a great idea, if the card reader worked more than 50% of the time you slide. The room was nice. very modern-like. flatscreen tv and speakers were wall mounted, LED lighting, frosted glass between the bedroom and granite bathroom. even the bathroom door was sliding frosted teal green glass. But our view was amazing. it looks over the street and cable cars that run into downtown Dundas Centre. beautiful! besides the weak parking, this place was pretty cool. friendly staff.

Yelp
I recently stayed at this hotel for a few nights last week. The rooms are very clean and have been updated with a modern, funky decoration. The room had extra pillows, a bathrobe, a refrigerator, an iron and ironing board. it's located about one block from the Eaton Centre so it is close to many stores, restaurants, etc. There were just a few small things that prevented me from giving this hotel a higher rating. I had to wait for a while to check in while the receptionist talked on the phone. The day I checked out, I waited for an elevator for at least fifteen minutes and finally took the stairs lugging down my suitcase When I mentioned the issue to the front desk, they shrugged their shoulders. I had also asked for a room on a higher floor but they put me on the fourth. So, overall, an average hotel. Also, it is important to know that because this hotel is downtown, it can be noisy.

Yelp
3.75 for sure, in terms of overall room cleanliness and hotel location. So so so convenient to many food options, shopping and subway/streetcar... Just the rooms are tiny, and hardwood floors. Usually people like to walk on carpet haha. Free wifi is possible if you ask for it, and probably depending how long you stay. At $100 a pop, not much to complain. The concierge is fantastic and helpful, and even print out Google maps with no hesitation. And asking them to call the cabs is a breeze. Free wifi. But their workout area is just average. Decent lobby sitting area, more contemporary style. iMacs by the Pomnar for internet use.

Yelp
I really don't mind that the renovations to the hallways are not complete, but it's the little things that this hotel fails miserably. The remote for the TV doesn't work and the front desk can't seem to be bothered to fix it. The wi-fi that I'm paying for is horribly weak, and the two computers in the lobby with a solid Ethernet connection aren't even complimentary. The hotel cafe makes a mean latte, but the pastry and bagels they sell... Well, I wouldn't think of purchasing them to give to one of the many bums and panhandlers that lurk all day and all night by the front door. I don't mind the small rooms at all. I'm used to that having done a little traveling in Europe, but would it be too much to ask that the hotel be ready to provide small travel sized toiletries such as toothpaste for those of us that had theirs confiscated by over zealous airport security? Save your money and stay farther away from the city center, or spend a little more and stay at a better hotel. One star, as a half star isn't an option on my yelp app.
