Bonditony's Burger Joint - BONDI

One of the best burgers, and restaurant experiences I’ve ever had! I came to Bondi to check out the vibes, and pay my respects after Sunday 14/12. I’ve been meaning to come here for a while, but didn’t expect to have such an awesome time! You feel like you’re in Byron, but with a much chiller vibe - not touristy, nor cheap and tack stuff. The staff are so friendly, and the food and drink is incredible! I had the Just A Jezebel panko-crumbed chicken burger, which is just 👌🤌 The waitress who greeted me, Holly, is so bright and cheerful, and didn’t mind having a chat and laugh once I was seated. There were 2 other people there at the time, so it wasn’t a problem. Tony, the owner, who used to manage a whole bunch of Sydney bands, was also on site and was just beaming and having a great time. This kind of vibe, and attention makes such a difference when you’re dining. Not to mention, in the days after what happened at the beach. Thanks guys for an amazing first experience here. Best burger in Sydney! Everything on the menu is 10/10. The staff are so genuinely lovely and good at their job. It’s clear everyone cares and wants to be there which makes it just so good. Also a very generous portion of chips with every burger! The veggo burger is also excellent and any burger can be swapped for a vegan patty! GO TONYS!!

This place is amazing! Tony is very caring and attentive with each of his customers. The food is spectacular — the burger I had was delicious, and you can really tell the difference compared to other places that sell burgers or fries. I only had to wait 10 minutes for a table, and they called me when it was ready — everything was perfect. I’ll definitely be coming back!!

Had an amazing experience at Bondi Tony Burger. The burger was seriously one of the best I’ve had in a while—juicy, tasty, just perfect. Chips were great too, super crispy. Tony was really welcoming, and the staff were all super friendly. Great vibe overall. Will definitely be back!

Hi there, if you're reading this then you're probably wondering how i got here. 15 days have passed since I last saw the sun. I've all but forgotten what grass feels like. My skin is turning translucent.. I haven't eaten in 10 days.. I needed something ro revive my weary bones. In comes Tony. What a gal! Tony whips up a burger, loads of chips, onion rings, and spreads her hot sauces all over me. 10/10 loved the personal touch. Highly recommend the caramelised pineapple on the Delta Rigg!

Came over on Thursday around 3:30pm, the lady with curls and a big smile serving was incredibly nice and attentive. I didn’t order anything and was only waiting on a friend’s take away yet her service never lacked and she even offered to refill my water bottle. The restaurant is worth visiting as it’s very lively and interesting looking, even the energy of the staff is great. Food was hot, fresh and delicious (I would say what my friend ordered yet I forgot but it was a burger and fries) Might come over again because it’s just such a vibe, made the day rememberable ❤️

A fun filled place to visit with the most amazing burgers . It’s a busy bustling restaurant with a great atmosphere and setting . We loved it ! Great food ! Great staff !

12/6/24 After a great day at Bondi Beach our bellies needed to be satiated. Funky bar type atmosphere. Very eclectic. Equipped with outdoor seating. We ordered burgers, fried fish and beer. My fish was ok. Loved the local beer. Decent meal. Wait staff friendly. Note: No split checks.

This place is awesome. If you're looking for a really good burger - please try BondiTony's, you'll love it. The burgers are juicy and always cooked great. Tons of different options to choose from. Chicken wings are pretty good but the burgers are the real prize. Great fries. (I think there are sweet potato options for the fries.) Solid choices for beers and drinks as well. The service is spectacular. The wait staff are all incredibly nice and super helpful no matter how busy it is. It can get really packed - but you're not going to wait too long for the food - the service is always good to awesome. Seriously - they are all so nice. Tony himself is super friendly & nice and the place just feels like a local / community hangout with a friendly, upbeat vibe. There's indoor seating and lots of outdoor seating that's setup all around the front of the place. A great place for family / kids and also a great place for a bunch of people getting some burgers & beers together. Just an awesome spot. My 10 yr old son would live at this place if he could. He'd eat their food every night if it was up to him. Try the food - you'll love it!

We walked over to Bonditony's on a roaring Friday night and the place was full with a happy crowd enjoying food, friends and fun! Even though we took our food to go, I still loved seeing all the cool decor and atmosphere as we waited to pick up our goodies. I got the Just a Jezabel with sweet potato fries and a side of the garlic aioli to dip them in. The sandwich was perfect balanced between flavors and freshness and the fries were squishy and salty with just the right amount of crunch. All of their options sounded great and I can appreciate that they have alternate dietary options, too. If you're on the lookout for a hip place to eat and hang out I would recommend you make a stop at Bonditony's!

I'm from the states, and have had my share of some of the best burgers. BondiTony's right up there with some of the best ones I've had. Great vibe, and the staff was outstanding. Try the sweet potato fries and wash it down with a beer. You can't beat it.

Great Feed amazing people. Covid safe. Daylight saving time does affected how I read the menu to an extent. Any later then 7pm (DST) and you'll be unable to see your hand. I liked the menu, very well designed like a good communistic eastern bloc building. We did have to use our legs to to get up and move tables, thus causing us to burn more calories. Hence, making my calorie intake unstable therefore my morning kale juice will probably have to be in a thickshake cup. #iamadiabetic

I'm going to admit that I only tried Bonditony's sweet potato chips because I'd been out to brunch, came here for lunch and had dinner plans a few hours later... oink! The chips were delish and it was a big serving with a side of aioli; how can you go wrong?! My boyfriend ordered the Trippin Zeahorse burger and added pickles (because, hello, all burgers need pickles) and said he really enjoyed the burger but the beef patties were lacking flavour, though all in all was fairly good. The best part about Bonditony's was the super friendly staff and the fact we sat out on the footpath in the sun and got to people watch on a couple of mismatched chairs and enjoy that Eastern Suburbs vibe.

I left Bonditony's with a full belly and my hands sticky from the sauce dripping from the burgers - a winning outcome in my books. I had the Classic Cog with added onion rings. The sweetness from the onion rings and the chutney/relish perfectly complemented the beef - cooked to medium rare perfection. The patty was juicy and the buns were soft and fresh. A really delicious and simple burger, one of the best I've had in Sydney I'd say! The place also has a great rock music vibe without being too gimmicky, and the service is great when compared to other burger joints, they are super attentive and friendly. Grab a table outside if you aren't keen on shouting over the loud music. I really enjoyed coming here, this place definitely deserves all the hype. I'll be back to try the other burgers on the menu!

As burger joints go, this place stands out! Went on a Wednesday night, there was a wait for a table outside, inside was a little warm. Tony himself was there, buying shots for patrons, making sure everyone had a drink, very hospitable. Some very cool rock and roll memorabilia from the owners collectionup on the walls, kinda reminds you of a slightly cleaner, smaller version of Mary's in Newtown. The burgers were cooked perfect, juicy, cheesy, nice toasted brioche bun, well done! Sweet potato fries which came with the burger for small up charge. If I lived in Bondi, it would be in my regular rotation for sure.

Great atmosphere, great music, great people. The burger had a few key things I loved... A great tomato relish that is sweets and savory but not too sweet and a bun that was soft but not too soft and held up well against the sauces. It's lovey greasy drippy mess! I ordered the Zeahorse and my BF ordered the Jezebel. Both were great in the same ways. I would have preferred a med rare beef patty but it was just medium. Good but I would request a bit more rare next time. The fried chicken in the Jezebel was tender and juicy, and still crisply. The beer list was meh. Though they have cocktail options if you'd like. Though for me when it comes to burgers, beer all the way. Btw the Handsome Devil chipotle sauce was great. Not too spicey, light smokiness that doesn't over power.

What can I say Bondi Tony's is one of the best burger joints in Sydney! The burgers are amazing and the chips are to die for. Would definitely recommend!

Been meaning to try this place for a while but Bondi's kind of a trek so it took some time to get around to it. I heard good things about this place, and they're definitely not unfounded. At first glance, the bun looks a bit dry but you know the saying how looks can be deceiving? Well them looks can be deceiving! This bun is definitely one of the best ones I've had in Sydney...but also one of the richest. It's fresh baked, toasted, soft and fluffy, and pretty much lathered in butter. Cue Homer drool. The beef on the other hand...it's grass fed, but it was a tad underseasoned and overcooked, so the burger dropped down a notch. The sauce and bacon was on point though. I ordered the Trippin Zeahorse and got another patty on top. I would suggest this if you're hungry as the burger's aren't that big. Fries were just OK. They have some BBQ sauces on hand like Carolina if you're keen as well. Best burger I've had around Bondi, though I haven't had that many...and the Yeezy Burgers are more sliders than burgers. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area to try the chicken burger...that looked good.

Excellent burger joint just off the main stretch in Bondi. Is it the healthiest thing in the world to eat? Probably not. Does it make for a fantastic post-beach / post-surfing meal? Absolutely. I'd be hard-pressed to name a more fulfilling meal than a greasy, well-assembled burger loaded up with favorite toppings (a wide variety of choices on the menu). The buns are fresh, the meat is well seasoned and the topping combinations are perfect. The place itself has a friendly atmosphere and has seating inside, at the bar and outside making it perfect for groups or even if you're just checking out town by yourself.

Delicious food, fun atmosphere and fantastic customer service! I ended up at Bonditony's with my family on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. We got there right as they opened and we're seated quickly inside. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Trippen Zeahorse Burger, fries, sweet potato fries and Calamari! The lost Valentino was fine but I would not get it again. Tony went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. He even ran next door to get a Diet Coke for my dad. If you're in the area you've got to go!

Really amazing soy honey chicken sandwich. The burger was tasty and fresh and packed full of local ingredient. I enjoyed the environment and staff was friendly and helpful. I'd go back in a heart beat. A great selection of tasty burgers. The place is pretty new I gather, but they have spent time making a really unique restaurant. If you are looking for a tasty fresh dinner or lunch... Look no farther

My husband and I are visiting from the US and spent the day at Bondi and found this place off yelp. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was so fun and unique! The burger was delicious but the fries were maybe the best fries I've ever had! The prices and the service were pretty great too! Definitely recommend anytime or after a great day at Bondi!

Lovely service in a really sick store! Was there in the afternoon so pretty quiet, but heard it gets busy on the weekend! Burgers and sweet potatoe fries where outstanding and also good vegetarian option! They serve organic soft drinks what I personally love, but I guess it's not everyone's taste! Will be back when in the area!

I've eaten here with friends a few times now, and despite having nailed a lot of the qualities that I appreciate in a burger place (i.e. casual and friendly staff, musically inspired, etc) - the most important thing (the food) is a no go for vegans (like myself). They do sell a veggie burger for any interested vegetarians - but they're unwilling to veganise it - leaving me with a bowl of chips for dinner. In their defence, I was told that they were cool with me buying food from next door (Funky Pies) and eating it in their dining room - but to me it feels like a bit of a cop-out having to BYO food when trying to enjoy a meal with friends. Especially when there's a vegetarian option on the menu that could be made vegan with just a few simple changes. Great vibe, not for vegans.

Came here with 4 friends and the kitchen was closing.... The owner was able to make us one last burger and so 4 of us shared it and it was divine.... I was only able to have a couple of bites but it was so fantastic.... Must do in Bondi Beach

Burgers are good but would definitely not rank them in my top 3. I had the Classic cog - i found the bread a bit to dry and heavy (although A brioche bun), the meat was overcooked for my liking (even though i had specifically asked IT to be rare) and the sweet potatoe fries are Nothing exceptional (and 2.5$ extra is a bit much for them...) Outside terrasse is Nice, but i find the inside too lound/ noisy and dark (especially for lunch) I would not go all the way Just to try it, but that is not A bad option if you are in the area

Whatever you do, do not order the Bloody Mary. It is acidic and disgusting and when you return it because it tastes vile, they charge you $16 for it! Also, the food is not particularly remarkable. Way too salty. The chicken nuggets were salty. The burger was decent. Service was not great either. Avoid.

FIVE out of FIVE! This was not a let down at all! The music was playing, the place was buzzing, the food was hearty and delicious! I recommend coming here for a good burger! I ordered the "Just a Jezebel" which consisted of crumbled crispy free range chicken soaked in ginger and honey soy with slaw and guacamole. What a winning combination. The burgers all come with chips and range from $12-14. You can substitute the chips for sweet potato chips for $2.5 more. Definitely come with a full appetite as these portions are a meal. You'll be leaving this place full and definitely satisfied. Overall the staff were friendly and service was good!

Great Burgers & exceptional service. Bondi Tony is the best. Try the fish burger & exceptional burger - I go naked (no bun) so don't feel too full afterwards! The best
