Our family loves Bonita. We go there for our anniversaries and birthdays. Of course night time Bonita is different than day time Bonita. The lights, the atmosphere, service, music, people… nighttime Bonita is super fun.
Food-wise, while I love this place, I don’t know how to describe my issue with the food. In some sense, it feels like your aunt’s cooking, but you still love it because, it’s good food, her house is beautiful, and she is lovely!
The paella is filled with seafood (but missing the Saffron taste and the aioli) and it’s pretty good. The salads need a reboot of the dressings. Most everything tastes good. Not pictured here but we’ve had their smoked platter, oxtail (delish), Patatas bravas are actually really good, the croquetas are decent, their garlic shrimps are delicious, octopus also delish! You name it, we’ve tried it. A few dishes need tweaking and tightening, but you won’t leave here disappointed. Just go at night 😉
