Bonito Paraíso Beach House

We had the most wonderful and relaxing time of our holiday in Bonito Paraiso. It truly is like a little paradise on the island, far from most tourists, yet the main town is still within walking distance. The accommodation includes a fantastic beach bar with delicious drinks. There's also an on-site restaurant with a high-quality and varied menu, including vegetarian options. The rooms in the forest are more comfortable than those on the beach. However, those on the beach have their own small terrace where breakfast is served. We especially enjoyed the breakfast – there were different delicious cakes and small dishes every day, all freshly prepared. During the day, SUPs, kayaks, and snorkeling equipment are available for use, along with a few very cute street dogs. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, spoke excellent English, and always seemed to be in good spirits, which contributed to a very positive overall atmosphere. We highly recommend Bonito Paraiso and would definitely return.

Towards the latter end of our 16 days in Brazil, we stayed at this lovely former colonial fisherman’s house.|We were greeted by the brilliant and ubiquitous Fabrice who was a constant high point of our whole stay.|The small bay that the accommodation sits on, is tranquil and sheltered with free use of SUPs and kayaks. There is also a linked bar to the Bonita but also 2 other “local” bars that offer good food and drinks at very reasonable prices. You can take a water taxi or there is a stroll which is easy enough in the daylight to get to the “village.”|The breakfast cooking staff are a delight who went the extra mile to supply vegan options to our travelling companions and a special mention to Raphael who was extremely attentive.|Why not a 5??|- meal on site the first evening should have been better|- often food and drink options on the menu are not available|- sunbeds could do with replacing|Overall a lovely stay and with a few small improvements, this would be a 5* option to stay at.

We had an amazing time in Bonito Paraiso. The resort is really well located in a calm area only 5 min away by boat from Abraão. It’s easy to access some of the nicest spots on Ilha Grande from it, including beautiful praia Lopes Mendes. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is really kind. We were very well advised by Isabela, Rodrigo and Fabricio for activities on the island. The breakfast and coffee break are very good and the restaurant is a real value added. We would definitely come back.

We really enjoyed our time in Ilha Grande, and our choice of hotel - Bonito Paraiso - was central to that. The location is great, the staff are very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was divine - we stayed in several hotels as we travelled through Brazil, and the breakfast at Bonito Paraiso was the best by a mile. Everything was freshly made in the morning, and the food was great. It was very special waking up and seeing everything being freshly prepared for us! The food and cocktails in the hotel are great, and we ended up eating at the hotel everyday because it was just so good!

We had the best time at Bonito Paraiso! The location is outstanding, as it is close to Abraão (30 min walk or 5 min by boat) but still far enough away making it a great place for relaxation away from the crowds. The rooms had everything we needed, but we did not spend a lot of time there as the beach and the beach bar were our favorite places. Bonito Paraiso offers a great breakfast (fresh fruit, chia pudding, crepes, eggs in different variations, etc), as well as a variety of drinks and foods for lunch and dinner - all tasting fantastic. We never ate or drank something we didn’t like! The best part about the hotel is the staff, from the reception to the bar. Everyone was lovely and friendly. They gave us different tour recommendations, booked them for us (incl. direct pick up at the hotel) and gave their best to make our stay a lot of fun. Next to doing tours and relaxing at the beach, we could use the snorkeling equipment, SUPs and kayaks of the hotel. We were lucky enough to even spot turtles next to different kind of fish. All in all: Bonito Paraiso is one of the best places we ever stayed at! We will miss our time there and hope we can come back someday! :-)

The location of Bonito Paraiso is wonderful. It’s on a beautiful beach and is really picturesque. The staff are very friendly and speak very good English. The food is excellent, and there are a variety of options including vegetarian. The room we stayed in (Beach House 3) was very small and the decor was quite tired, but importantly the bed was comfortable. However, the electrics, particularly the light switches in the bathroom did not seem very safe and the shower kept fluctuating between hot and cold. The “private portion of the gallery” which they advertise for this room is not actually private and is shared with Beach House 2 which is a five-bed room and unfortunately this was occupied by five men whilst we were there who constantly used the deck for smoking, drinking and drying their washing. Not very romantic or private and we didn’t feel like we could use it.

Best hotel in the whole island, beautiful and very clean rooms. A lot of activities. Breakfast so good, wonderful restaurant. |Isa was so welcoming and she suggested us a lot of things to do in the island. The Chef Elias great Chef and really good man. Thank you so much for having us. See you soon

This was the best holiday I ever had, we spend 6 nights at bonito paraiso and have been to Abraão three times. Every time we walked there we realized we made the best decision staying in bonito paraiso as it is the best place to stay on the island. This place lives up to its name as it is a true paradise. Thanks to the all the staff for the amazing time we had. If we ever come back again to Ilha Grande (which will hopefully be soon) there is no doubt we will stay at bonito paraiso again.
