A mom and pop shop where you can buy all your favourite Asian ingredients. The staff is super helpful and the buns made in the back are so delicious and fairly priced. Definitely worth the stop!

Have been here many times to buy Asian food. Love the variety of snacks the store has and also the ready-to-eat boxed meals are well packaged. The cold noodle with beef and the Asian styled chicken salad are both my favorite

It’s a really nice supermarket owned by a Chinese couple who make fresh baozi and seasonal Chinese holiday dishes. Always tasty and yummy and I find that the vegetables are always way more fresh than other downtown grocery stores. Also so many amazing Chinese snacks that I can’t buy elsewhere. Super cute and always a go to place for my groceries, as I make a point to support local businesses 🫶

Read reviews to know their appetites are good, so i bought a few boxes to try and they are good. Flavourful, not overly salty. Recommended the beef tendon. Want to try their buns next time!!

Their dumplings are authentic like back home! They have few different flavors. You won't be disappointed. It might be slightly salty but it doesn't matter :) we still love them. It's a must have in our freezer

The liang pi noodle salad is AMAZING (you can call ahead to make sure they are selling it that day). Their steamed bao are delicious as well! A great place for a tasty meal to go. And the owner is very friendly.

TL;DR/The Short Version: Asian supermarket not far from Concordia University. Small but good selection. They have fresh steamed buns (bao). The Long Version: I love poking around small grocery stores, especially international grocery stores in search of exotic goods. So when I was walking by Bonjour Supermarket I had to stop in. The store is not too large, but it has a good variety of products. They had items imported from Taiwan, Japan and China. Maybe other countries too, but those are the ones I saw. As luck would have it, while I was there I saw a lady wheeling out a cart of freshly made steamed buns/bao. They were still warm! Even though I was still full from lunch, I couldn't resist getting some. They were $1.50 each and came in quantities of 2, 3, 4 or 6. They had lots of different flavours such as pork and celery, chicken and cabbage, and beef (the beef ones were $2 each). But the only pack of 2 they had were pork and celery, so I grabbed that one. The buns were soft and there was a good amount of meat filling. They were tasty and for $1.50 each they were a great deal. The store accepts cash, debit and credit, but there's a minimum spend for debit and credit, like between $5-$10. So I paid cash. Staff were pleasant. If I was in the area and looking for a snack, I would get the buns again. Review #147 (2025)

I have been shopping here almost since it opened. Broadest supply of Asian ingredients, daily fresh prepared take-out meals, homemade Bao (steamed buns), best beer prices in the area, and very clean. Since COVID they enforce a strict mask rule for all clients so don't go unless you have a covering for your mouth and nose. The owners are very friendly and their inventory is constantly refreshed. Also buys quality produce. I did almost all my Covid shopping there and still will.

Good Chinese supermarket. They have everything I need and good price :) It's where I bought my fried dumplings and xiao long bao. Customer service could be improved though 4/5

Most of the staff are pretty courteous, however, the cashier young man who worked at the counter is non chalant very cold he only smiled to the customers who bought big stuffs. I will never return to that store.

This is a great little Chinese/Asian grocery store just a hop, skip and jump from Supermarche PA on du Fort downtown. I've been shopping here since they opened (maybe 5-6 yrs ago?) and was delighted to discover during my Qing Hua dumpling obsession days that Bonjour will make you any type of filled dumpling to order for pickup (or you can buy certain flavors ready to go from their freezer). Depending on the filling you want (ranging from veggie to lamb, beef, pork or shrimp), 21 dumplings will set you back $6.99-$7.99, which is a good deal compared to virtually all other dumpling restos, and it quickly replaced Qing Hua for us (no more long wait!). Their dumplings have the gelatin inside so you do get a soupy dumpling, and while the dough isn't my #1 favorite (that goes to Mai Xiang Yuan for their more refined, delicate wrapper), I would say Bonjour is my #2 place due to its quality-price ratio. The store also expanded a few years back so now you can get a large selection of frozen seafood, mochi and ice cream, beef/New Zealand lamb, etc, even beer. Their produce section is good for those looking for Asian ingredients (bok choy, choy sum, gai lan, etc) and very cheap (same or even cheaper than PA). They have a row filled with noodles and instant ramen, as well as a rather large section of various brands of soy sauce. To top it off, the couple who owns this store is really nice! There are more employees now that they've gotten more popular, and you may encounter some who don't really speak English or French, but they will call someone to help if you're in need. Ask the owners for recommendations on what to buy and they'll help! They also have some other prepared dishes in the fridge near the fresh veggies, but haven't tried those. For last minute shopping, you can even pick up a teapot or knives if need be. Cash or debit only.
