Amazing. Exhilarating. While driving across country I found you can actually drive your car around freely on BLM. There were many cars on Saturday so we drove in another direction. Fun. Highly recommend esp with kids…and it’s free!

Natural wonder, and such a treat for the eyes. Remember to take your sunglasses! Second time visiting. It’s unfortunate that they not let drive cars there anymore (fully understand the reason). It used to be such fun.

Beautiful place, make sure to go at sunrise or sunset. If you go during the middle of the day, it's not nearly as beautiful as the sunrise/sunset time-frames.

Was expecting them to be more shiny they were not shiny. Want to drive all over them next time but not the mud part theres a lot of mud. Saw a guy on a dirtbike it was cool.

This place is one of a kind. Loved the salt flats. It is a long drive along the highway and there are multiple stops that you can take. From the viewpoint, you can get closer to the mountain. The pictures come out well. I would recommend putting sunscreen/moisturizer as it skin can dry on a bright day.

Stopped at the Salt Flats Rest Area Northbound on I-15. The Bonneville Salt Flat is definitely a spectacular area to visit just to witness the natural spectacle. It’s neither snow nor sand, it pure white salt. With the mountain in the background and the super speedy highway adjacent to it, it definitely feels out of the regular world. But nothing actually is there to do much. It takes about 90 mins form Salt Lake City to drive up till here and then another 90 mins to go back even at 80 mph. However, do not skip this. You will definitely like visiting here once. I didn’t take my car down to the salt flat speedway as I am not a very big speed fan but those who are interested can definitely visit. The rest area I mentioned was clean and had multiple toilets and places to sit.

Easy 90 minute drive from Salt Lake City to Bonneville Salt Flats. What an experience! We drove far enough for a photo, then just walked the area. When you are finished, I suggest grabbing a meal in Wendover at Salt Flats Cafe before you head back. About halfway, stop to see Cargill Salt plant, then go for a quick and easy hike around the Timpie Springs waterfowl area. Bonus, you'll see the Dugway Aviation Navigation Arrow hidden behind a barbed wire fence.

Loved the day spent with my family here. We had a lot of fun enjoyed the sun and drove close by to eat and discover Wendover. The 2 hours drive worth it.
