Bonnie Doone Manor-on-the-Beach

We stayed here for two nights and had a nice time. The room was cozy with a great view, and the two beds were really comfortable. The bathroom and shower were super small and a bit outdated, though, which was the only downside. They had free coffee and muffins in the morning, which was a nice touch, and parking was included which is great since the lot across the street is $40/day. The location is amazing literally a 30-second walk to the beach and just a couple minutes to the main street. Super convenient for everything in Grand Bend. Overall, a great spot if you’re looking for comfort and location, just don’t expect anything fancy.

Update…. That was an unacceptable owners answer. You do not berate customers. The room was not as you described it…. it was only one person‘s opinion. We will not be back and you can bet that we will tell everybody about the way we were treated! Original review… We are a senior couple in our 70s and stayed here for a couple days. My opinion of this hotel was taken down a notch by the nerve of the office person calling us right after we checked out and were in the car on the way home, to scold us for leaving the room in what she called disarray. First of all, they do not clean the room during your stay. We left the used towels on the floor in the bathroom and there was no more room in the trash cans, so we put some in carryout bags that we had gotten from the restaurants. We also left a nice tip, so that should have been the end of it. Who calls a customer and complains about the room not being clean? It’s really too bad because we liked the place, but we will not be back.

We had a closet for a room with a beautiful view. We have had a bigger bathroom/shower in our old RV. Location is good. So many stairs! The place is old. The bed has not comfortable. The pillows were made out of cardboard. We did see a beautiful sunset but we will not be visiting there again. Much too expensive for what it is

Excellent location on the beach in downtown Grand Bend. Walking distances to places to eat and just walk across the road to the beach. The rooms were clean, pillows were very comfy, and the woman who checked us in and out was very friendly and helpful with local tips on where to eat.

Big shout out to Barb and the staff at Bonnie Doone, friend and I had a great stay, made us feel like family, already booked again for next year. Great coffee and muffins in the morning. Great Location walk to every where. Thanks again.

Visited many times over the years and loved this location and old owners. Although the new owner has some renovations done (a couple of balconies and a small patio) the warmth is lacking somewhat.

We found this place last minute when we needed a place for a one night stop. Easy to book, friendly service, comfortable rooms, loved walking to everything we needed. My son loved the mini golf options nearby. I loved the restaurant selection nearby and the ability to walk out to the beach. Clouds kinda got in the way of the sunset but it was still a beautiful sight! It was a relaxing and fun time. Wish we had longer to stay. Hope to be back!

This is s great little place. Very comfortable, clean and so unique in that every room is different. Not a cookie cutter hotel. Staff are friendly and it is located right on the beach front with close walking distance to the Main Street, restaurants, shops etc. Beautiful views. Even gave us a card and small gift as we were here as part of an anniversary mini-trip. Stay here you will not be disappointed.

The family and I could have never imagined a better place to stay here in Grand Bend. Just amazing. The staff is top notch and really believe in what they're doing. The rooms are clean and welcoming and the view from the balcony is indescribable. Right across the street from the beach and I don't know what else to say. So happy with our choice. If I could I would give it more than five stars. Thank you to the staff. Thank you thank you thank you.
