Bonnybank Bed and Breakfast

I've been meaning to write a review for months about this hidden gem. We really enjoyed our overnight stay at the Bonnybank. Carla is a gracious host and took the time to tell us about the history of the estate, the surrounding, and was very obliging and kind. Breakfast was fresh, filling, and consisted of seasonal and locally foraged berries which we loved! The grounds and house are so charming- we have recommended it to many friends and will definitely be back someday. Thank you so much, Carla!

This is a perfect place to stay if you're revitalized by nature. Accessibility to the outdoors is abundant. Owl calls are a constant nighttime soundtrack. Carla, Bonnybank's proprietor, is an accomplished accessible nature tours operator. We participated in a morning birding hike with a local birding expert. The availability of such activities was a delightful dynamic, available only at unique operations such as Bonnybank. Carla's knowledge of the region's natural history and local flora and fauna is impressive and is shared with a singular calm and gentle style. We stayed two nights. Breakfast each morning was great. The offerings were varied and tasty. (Special dietary options are available.) And the coffee and tea were hot and plentiful!|Double thumbs up! Thank you, Carla.

Perfect spot to explore the valley. Carla is a great host. What better way to support Canada's tourism industry than by staying somewhere locally owned like this? Breakfast was good and Willow the golden is super sweet.

Carla is a wonderful hostess. She has loved in the area snd has a wealth of local knowledge. We had a lovely visit. Willow greeted us when we arrived. She is a very sweet, calm pup. The grounds are beautiful and our room was comfortable. It was very cool hearing the owls. We look forward to returning next year.

This is a wonderful bed and breakfast with the most amazing host. Carla really made our trip special with her deep knowledge of the area. The resident golden retriever, Willow, is very friendly. This is a historic house with a rich history. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The garden is stunning with a unique location next to an owl sanctuary! We had a delicious breakfast with fresh local ingredients. If you’re looking for an attentive and knowledgeable host that generously provides a wealth of local information, look no further! Carla’s picturesque bed and breakfast provided a relaxing and cozy fall experience. The house and rooms are well maintained and Carla is very knowledgeable, friendly and hospitable. Very reasonable pricing for the value. An additional perk, was the sweet golden retriever, Willow, who would greet us and was always eager to receive snuggles. Would recommend staying at Bonnybank if you are looking for a relaxing place to stay when in the area. Try the waffles !

Bonnybank Bed and Breakfast was an excellent destination for a retreat from the city. The grounds offer guests the opportunity to relax and take in the wildlife. There is an abundance of plant and animal life around the gardens and down at the dock on the creek. The host, Carla, is welcoming and knowledgeable about the area - and was happy to provide thoughtful suggestions about activities in addition to sharing her deep knowledge of the region. Also, breakfast each morning was excellent - suited to my tastes and featuring an array of local goods in the mix. ||And of course there's sweet Willow to welcome you and sit with you if you're inclined to spend time in the garden or on the terrace.
