Super nice hotel with nice and helpful staff located at the center in walkable distance to key places. Large and clean room, comfortable bed, large and pristine bathroom. Really quiet. Great internet (80Mbps download/upload). The hotel is in extra secure area with checkpoints on entry now during the war (March 2025), check the "noteworthy details" below.

Everything is manageable if you only. The hotel has a very nice website advertising it as "Bontiak offers the best service". It is full of all sorts of detail, apart from the fact which is the only one important really. The hotel is next to government building, surrounded with barriers and soldiers who will not let you in. Yes, after 30 min of walking around I have finally found someone speaking any language and managed. But is it nice experience in the middle of the night, not really.||||Oh and forget about your business guests coming for a meeting. Obviously...||||The restaurant maybe is nice, but the only way to pay for anything if you are a foreigner, is to have Ukrainian cash, which is not easy to find in the middle of the night. The waiter did not speak any language, you cannot pay by card, you cannot put it on your room - remember, we are talking about 4* business hotel, not B&B for pennies, where everybody would talk languages anyway and payment by card would be no problem at all.||||Rooms are nice, but this is not the only, if you are traveling for business to a country at war. You may expect at least a little compassion.

The hotel is very comfortable. Its staff is very helpful and welcoming. I had a pleasant stay there. The area is safe, and the hotel has private shelters. The hotel is very well located in Kyiv. There is also a restaurant where you can eat simple, good quality dishes. I would happily return to this hotel.

The hotel is in a good location in central Kyiv, but at first glance it is hard to identify from the street. There is a very small sign on an archway that says "Bontiak," and as soon as you walk through you will see the hotel entrance.||||The staff were friendly and spoke English, but were unable to recommend any nearby restaurants. This would be helpful, as there is no restaurant in the hotel. The lobby and room were clean and modern. However, glasses were provided without any sanitary paper cover. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure. (although the water pressure did drop a few times)||||Breakfast is delivered to the room each morning, but I had to go down to the lobby each day to request the card to complete my order. They should make this clear at check-in, or just leave the card hanging on the room door. I ordered eggs benedict, and while the eggs were well prepared, they were sitting on top of plain sliced white bread. The coffee was good, but served in a very tiny espresso sized cup. Making some minor improvements to the breakfast would be greatly appreciated.

Excellent location of the hotel - in a 5-minute walk from Sophia Square (note that the hotel is located in the courtyard). The bell tower of the cathedral was even seen from the window of the room. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. But in the morning it was a bit cold, especially in the bathroom.

Stayed there for 5 nights . Very large room with massive bed. Room quite clean and comfortable although TV zapper didn't work and shower cubicle tray was cracked (not enough support underneath). Staff were pleasant, Main problem was that they have no restaurant - no evening meal provision, and breakfast (at 10 euros a go) is from a limited choice delivered to your room on a tray. After two attempts I gave up and visited some of the excellent patisseries within 200m for great croissants and coffee

Loved this hotel. Beakfast was great and no issues making minor changes if asked for. Room spacious clean and well equiped. Friendly english speaking staff. Room was cleaned when we asked for this and clean towels etc provided. Also a few english speaking channels on TV which was a bonus. There is a small pizza and pasta restraunt a short walk to the left of the hotel which was also really nice.

Staff very friendly. quiet place in very old center of Kyiv. Location of the hotel was 4 minutes walk from Independence Square and the breakfast delivery to the room was awesome. I loved the fresh croissants with orange juice as a breakfast option. good breakfast.||very clean room. Parking available.||A lot of historical places in the walking distance.||Definitely would recommend the hotel to everyone!
