Visiting friends in Waynesville we had a 30 min wait to get into this bustling brewhaus at lunchtime, even on the bar side (there's also a family section) so be sure to stop by and get on the list early, so you're not left high and dry waiting it out for a table. Then go browse and shop the local retailers, it's a very cute main street!
NE Hazy IPA surprised us with its refreshing hoppiness and fuller body as hubby and I both tend to pass on hazys for the lack of body. Brews range in price, ours $5 & 5.50/pint. Even a cocktail menu for those skipping the hops.
Food was mighty tasty, using top notch locally sourced produce & land proteins, many house made sauces infusing brews whenever possible, and interesting sides. Its a very thoughtfully curated menu for any restaurant, though portions tend toward the 'just about full enough' size.
Hubby is hard to please when it comes to salmon, esp being Pacific NWers, and his Sapphire Salmon $17 was cooked medium rare as requested with rice, veggies, red bell pepper sauce to round it out and raves from him vs complaints, so well done Boojum! My So Gouda Chicken with Mash & Collards was excellent, panko crusted, not greasy, & stuffed with bacon & smoked gouda then topped with a creamed mushroom sauce. Barely enough greens to make 1 of my 5 for the day, esp if you are fending off a curious hubby, they are just mighty good, easy to eat and hard to share! ;)
Other interesting menu finds, some only at Dinner (*): house made black bean burger, Ahi nachos*, green bean fries, cauliflower mash, Voodoo blackened chicken & andouille fettucine*
