Google
So close to an overall 5 star. I wish they had 4.5 as an option. Service was stellar for the category restaurant (casual/sports?). Food came out very fast as well which was good because I was starving. Had both of the bowls and the tuna bowl was the better of the two. The pork bowl was creative and flavors blended excellently. The pork was not the star though which is why I landed ta 4.5. The beer chip nachos were also very good but just a little light on the cheese. Will be back to try the smash burgers!

Google
My wife and I had a daily special and burger, respectively. Both were fantastic and easily the best meals of the week. Fries are out of this world. Also enjoyed a beer flight plus another pint. Beers were good with the saison my wife had the highlight brew. Service was fast and friendly. Atmosphere was fine with an attractive bar. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

Love this place in Waynesville! I’ve been here twice and both times the food was delicious and the dark beer was excellent! The pretzel with the beer was my favorite combo. Great service and definitely a comfortable atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.

One hungry Man

Google
Great place. I’m a foodie. My daughter ran a 10 mile race after a shower we went and found this absolute Fort Knox of food. Excellent. We started with the whistle pig pretzels. Stuffed with deliciousness. My daughter had a Goat smash burger and my wife had the Whistle Pig special. They both loved it. My wife who never comments on how great the food is said she would give this place 2 thumbs up. Now I had the Korean Bbq tacos. I’ll leave the description in the menu but my taste buds went crazy. These are the best Tacos I’ve had anywhere. I literally travel all over and eat everywhere. Coast yo coast. Hands downs best ive had. Great Atmosphere and the city of Waynesville is very chill. 10 stars if I could.

The Event Bartenders

Google
Stopped into Boojum Brewery and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the place had a great energy—laid-back, welcoming, and just the right mix of cozy and cool. The bartender was awesome (wish I caught their name!)—super friendly, knew their stuff, and made the experience feel effortless. Quick service, great recommendations, and just the kind of person that makes you want to stick around for another round. The beer? Solid. Tried a few different pours and every one was on point. Whether you're into crisp and clean or bold and hoppy, they’ve got something to hit the spot. Food was great too—nothing over-complicated, just well-made and satisfying. Perfect pairing with the drinks. All in all, Boojum has that perfect brewpub balance—good food, great beer, solid atmosphere, and people behind the bar who clearly love what they do. Definitely adding this to the “will be back” list. Cheers to Boojum!

Google
What a great place to eat and have a delicious beer! The place was much bigger than expected and the food was amazing! We enjoyed Hounds of Helles and White Rabit! Both light and very refreshing on a hot day! I had their Baja tacos and my husband had the chicken tender with fries. Both amazing!

Google
Above and beyond, within the confines of bar food. Truffle fries and the Boojum burger will not disappoint. The Mushroom and Leeks Gnocchi is a great addition. Service on point.

Google
We enjoyed our time and meal at Boojum! We sat on the patio with our dog and the staff and area are very pet friendly. Highly recommend the pretzel starter. I enjoyed the Palomarita, a hint of heat from jalapeño but not overwhelming. Food was delicious. The So Gouda Chicken was amazing. Generous portions. Mashed potatoes delicious and collard greens were yummy. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Awesome little restaurant in downtown Waynesville. Glad we stopped when we did because it quickly got busy. A good sign! We were seated right away and our server was fantastic. We had some picky eaters in our party and they were more than happy to make substitutions and swaps to certain menu items. My husband and I got the whistle pigs as an app to start. Holy smokes. I think this was a top ten appetizer I've ever had! The bites were crispy and cheesy and the perfect amount. I had the double cross cocktail and it was well crafted and delicious. Both beers that my husband got were also very good. My husband got the so Gouda chicken and I got the steak frites. Everything was bursting with flavor. The so Gouda chicken was rich and creamy. My steak was a little underdone but still good, and better than being overcooked. The fries were crispy and you could really taste the truffle flavor. We were both stuffed but couldn't stop eating. Our server was super attentive and so friendly. He even told us about Boojum, and that it's another name for Bigfoot (we had no idea!). Perfect location as well, as after we were stuffed from dinner we walked down to Kilwin's for a sweet treat. Fantastic experience and highly recommend!

Yelp
Let's start with the bad, because there's not a lot of that: prices are a tad bit on the high end, and service can be slow on weekends. That's literally it for the bad. If their service was a bit faster, prices were a bit better, or both, this would easily be a 5 star review. Now, as for friendliness: they're awesome. The food is exactly what you'd expect for pub food, and it's awesome. The atmosphere is awesome. Overall, I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a bite to eat...just plan ahead or go on a day when they're less busy.

Yelp
It's not a trip to Waynesville unless we come to Boojum at least once. This trip, we came twice in three days, and each time I got the beet salad. You might be thinking why a beet salad, and why twice. Well my friends, it is that good. I am a sucker for goat cheese and a good vinaigrette, and this salad hits on all of those points too. The walnuts add a nice crunch also. Of course my group does not come to Boojum for the beet salad. They come for the whistle pigs. Each time we come, the amount of whistle pegs that we order increases. You can't go wrong with a homemade pretzel that is loaded down with pimento cheese and bacon. That is a piece of heaven on earth. The wings are good also. We like to get them plain with sauce on the side, as not everyone in our group has the same tastebuds. We've sat at their big round table, the long table in the middle of the main room, in a booth in the main room, and outside at a table, and there is not a bad seat in the restaurant. Now, if you need to be close to the bathroom, that's located towards the back of the main section. You pay at the tables. Service is always on point. The wait time can be long, but just put your name on the list and pop across the street to another downtown establishment and scurry back when your table is ready. We love Boojum Brewing and always make this a stop on our annual Waynesville adventures.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick beer. Wasn't able to try the food but will go back for that. Husband had a flight. I had a dark beer. Both were delicious. Definitely worth a trip back especially to try the food. Prompt service, even though we didn't order food. Very crowded restaurant so the food must be delicious.

Yelp
Such yummy food! We had the Whistle Pigs. They were very good but probably wouldn't order again. Hubby had the hot honey chicken sandwich and omg so good! Crunchy flavorful breading but still juicy chicken! It was a nice large piece of chicken. I had the Philly cheese steak and the cheese was gooey, the bread perfect and great steak and veggies. We both upgraded to truffle fries and so glad we did! Yum!!! Server, Jessie was awesome! Beer was very good too! We have half leftover!

Yelp
Food was good, I stopped in for lunch on my way to Asheville. Service was excellent I would recommend this restaurant.
google avatar

Jerod B.

Yelp
Wow! Great place! We literally drank our way across Asheville and waynesville. Server was cool and took very good care of us. Very clean, slick style... my cousin visits here often.
google avatar

Savannah R.

Yelp
Update: while the food, service, and vibe is still great, they no longer serve the grilled cheese I raved about in my prior review, just a little fyi!

Yelp
Waynesville, NC is a quaint small town with a walkable downtown lined with shops and fun restaurants/breweries. Boojum had a busy Saturday afternoon crowd and the Beer and Food did not disappoint. Beer Selections 5/5: Boojum Light & Hounds of Helles Lager. Shared Lunch: 5/5 1/2 order of the Whistle Pig (stuffed soft pretzel of bacon and pimento cheese). Smashed Burger with a side of fries. Service was spot on and portions were perfect.
google avatar

Ashly G.

Yelp
Ahi nachos are yum! Cabo fish tacos yum. Hubby didn't like the steak too much. Beer was cold and service was excellent. Worth a visit

Yelp
We were on a day trip to Waynesville and found mostly good reviews. We were told we would have a 30 minute wait but it was only about 15. Once seated our order was taken quickly. Our drinks were delivered immediately. After about 20 minutes the waitress apologized that it was taking so long. They were busy and we weren't in a hurry. About 10 minutes later our food arrived. We both had the Beer Cheese Steak sandwich with fried green beans. It was all good. My beans were not very warm. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated. Little loud, but not too bad. I would go back and try some other items.
google avatar

Dawn R.

Yelp
What a very nice first visit. We had a flight and a Pinot Grigio. Yum!! And for lunch a Caesar chicken and beet w/ salmon salad(s) w/ Parmesan fries on the side. Hit the spot. The service was spot on and sitting outside or inside the ambiance is very nice and laid back. Definitely recommended.
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful food, beer, and service! I tried the raspberry jam session and had to order another it was so good. We also tried the ahi tuna nachos which were top notch and everyone should definitely try them, comes with guac which may seem odd but it went so well with the rest of it. I also got the pork tacos with the truffle fries. The tacos were ok but nothing special. However the fries were almost as good as the nachos. Would definitely come back here if I am ever in the area again!
google avatar

Yelp
Great brewery in downtown Waynesville. Beer was great and my wife loved the cocktails. We munched on the Whistle Pigs and they were spot on. Bartender was helpful and polite.
google avatar

Caitlyn S.

Yelp
This is our go to place to showcase good food in Waynesville. Service is always top notch and the ambiance is great too! We have had numerous things but the truffle fries!!!! Omg, they are so good. Burgers, tacos, salad, anything and everything you get is good! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
google avatar

Olivia K.

Yelp
10/10 burgers and beer! Great place to hangout and has a downstairs bar that has live music, karaoke, and trivia nights (21+).
google avatar

Kellie D.

Yelp
One hour wait on a Sunday night but they said the bar was first come first serve. We sat at the outside bar (where I wanted to be anyway) and had a lovely experience. Waitress was great. They were out of the beer I wanted but she recommended a new raspberry saison that was fabulous. I ordered the pulled pork grit bowl. Fabulous flavors! Prices are reasonable, too.
google avatar

Catherine W.

Yelp
Service was excellent, vegan options, craft beer, nice atmosphere. I would like to have a few more vegan options ie: soup and sandwich. Baked potato and a salad, etc.
google avatar

Allison M.

Yelp
Absolute star of a place. Waynesville is really up-and-coming. Actually it might be too popular even say that these days. I love this bar is large enough to have a ton of options and seating, it still gives that small town feel. The server we had was absolutely phenomenal. Very attentive and super friendly. Approachable and energetic, but not ever bearing. Their mimosa weekend brunch was super affordable and fun. Small mimosas but great ratio. I didn't get to eat because I wasn't hungry, but the menu looked amazing for vegetarian and nonvegetarians and most diets. Lots of local highlights. Really really love the decor of this place and vibe. Set an older building, it had beautiful wood and lighting. Great decorations and art as well. Definitely felt like a community space
google avatar

Greg K.

Yelp
The food there was great and we will definitely go back. The beers they have on tap were great and I'd recommend checking it out.

Courtney K.

Yelp
Service is great super quick I recommend to truffle fries or the maple bourbon wings everything was delicious and I love it very much

Yelp
Good beer. Good Food. Casual atmosphere. Busy place. We came Sun night just after 7PM on Labor Day weekend and were told the wait would be more than a hour. Fortunately, we found some seats at the bar right away. For my beer selection, I went with the Blue Ridge Haze (NE IPA) and it was excellent. My bride ordered the Beet Salad with Salmon ($21) and she really enjoyed it. Salmon was prepared well and the citrus vinaigrette dressing was flavorful. I went with the Korea BBQ Tacos's ($12) and it was a good choice - really tasty. Service at the bar from Abe was attentive, prompt and friendly.

Yelp
Beer is meh. But the food is great. And since it had reliable mid-day hours, I found myself back here more than once during my week in the area. My Airbnb check-in was surprisingly late in the day, and I needed something to eat and drink and somewhere to sit myself down between driving and hiking, and getting to my housing and putting my promised hot tub to good use... This location of Boojum Brewing was conveniently in the town I was staying in, and it was open at 2:30pm. You know...that weird not lunch, not yet dinner time where often, even in bigger towns and cities, restaurants close down for the afternoon. So that is what made the initial decision for me to stop in here. Parking is annoying. Hopefully you are physically capable of walking a bit of a ways. You may be lucky to find main street parking, but be aware that it is minimal, in high demand, and has a time limit. There are free public parking lots scattered around that don't restrict you on time, but you may need to hoof it a bit to your destination. I was a solo traveler and eater/drinker and, again, was visiting at a mid-afternoon time. I was seated right away, both times. Service was prompt and friendly. My first visit, I got a flight of beer and a couple appetizers. The pimento and bacon stuffed pretzel was...holy crap, so dang good. Like...wow! And the truffle fries, you can't go wrong. I also wrapped up with a pour of a guest tap cider. (Unfortunately, I don't love Boojum's beer, but I like that they have other local NC brews on tap!) My second visit, I got a lovely table outside to enjoy the weather and read my book. I got that same cider I ended up liking the first time, and since I had done a 7 mile hike, I indulged in that stuffed pretzel thing again as well as some green bean fries. I earned those calories! I would certainly return here again were I in Waynesville again! And you know that its true because I made a return trip in the same week on my vacation.

Yelp
This is a fantastic Waynesville stop in an adorable area. The food is American pub style but they are very good at what they offer. In our group we had the Philly, Chili, and chicken Caesar wrap. Everyone was happy. For sparkling lovers, they have a great cava on the menu.
google avatar

Katie P.

Yelp
The Gouda chicken is amazing. Everybody loved the fried green beans. Friendly staff and great selection of drinks.

Yelp
Stop by tonight, Monday, because the new restaurant couple doors down was closed on Monday. The side to get a burger " The Melt" and doing so enjoyed a good meal. Ordered at medium rare it came out medium rare had good flavor. Lots of beers to choose from and a full bar. Always a good time

Dustin M.

Yelp
Amazing spot for great food, beer and service! Also the ambiance is really great, the staff is amazing! The bar downstairs is a lot of fun with a pool table and darts! Very clean!

William M.

Yelp
This at one time was my go to Restaurant. My favorite was the BRUBEN. I told countless friends abut this Ruben Sandwich. I've had other items on the menu that were great but why discontinue one of your best selling items on the menu. It's like Ford taking the bronco off the market
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
Great ambiance being in downtown, the service was great and the food was awesome! Great burgers and lots of drink options.

Michael B.

Yelp
The food was really good. Salads looked good and fresh. the garlic fries are also really good.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Great beer, food and ambience plus the staff is super friendly and attentive. If the chef has a special, go for it! SO GOOD!
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
This is my first review of this pub but it's not my first visit. The quality has been spot on each time. The employees are always friendly and on this visit, our server, Mackenzie, was awesome. I ordered The Melt: a burger with sweet onion jam, melted cheddar cheese, crispy fried onions & Boojie special sauce on grilled Texas Toast, accompanied by an order of crispy Parmesan Truffle Fries with white truffle oil, parmesan cheese & herbs. Talk about a party in your mouth!! Wow!! And there are many brews on tap, crafted on site.
google avatar

Julie L.

Yelp
My husband and I are OBSESSED with Boojum! The service is always great and no matter what we order it is always amazing. Big fans of the maple bourbon salmon and the hot honey chicken!
google avatar

Tori E.

Yelp
We enjoyed everything about our experience from the drinks to the ambience and the unexpectedly, amazing food. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Susan C.

Yelp
This may be a brewery yet I'm thinking it should be called a sandwichery! Wow, how they can squeeze so much food between two slices of crispy rye and pita breads! Unfortunately I did not snap photos since it would have been a rude to do so in a party of 9 when someone else picked up the tab. Those pictures would have have shouted delicious. My Brueben on marbled rye with mile-high pastrami, melted Swiss cheese, bacon, beer-infused sauerkraut & dry-hopped Russian dressing was the bomb. My side of crispy deep-fried green beans ($1.50 extra) took it over the top. The sounds of "umm" came from other diners at the table, especially those who ordered Parmesan truffle fries in place of regular fries and the one who ordered a falafel wrap that was stuffed with hummus and tasty vegetables.
google avatar

Jody R.

Yelp
Stopped in for a late lunch and I was able to easily find on the street parking. We were quickly seated and our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I was able to sample several of their beers from an extensive list and they were all good! Had a hard time choosing just one. The menu included a great selection of sandwiches, burgers and bar room staples. I had the fish and chips and my wife had a chicken salad sandwich. Both were excellent but the French fries stole the show. Best I've had in a very long time. I would definitely go back again. And it is worth mentioning that the bathrooms were the cleanest I've ever seen in a public place.
google avatar

Jennifer D.

Yelp
I was excited to try it here and I'm happy I did! I wasn't in love with any of the beers, but the service and food was excellent. Nathaniel was our server and he was super helpful and attentive. I asked for a gluten free bun and he was kind to let me know the wings and fries were not gluten free. I appreciated the kindness and the smashed burger was out of this world, as were the wings! Plenty of seating inside and out, just beware that there were lots of dogs on the deck! Loved the dark wood and background music, really enjoyed my experience!
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
Beyond amazing! Great service and delicious food and of course beer! We couldn't get enough and even went a couple of times.
google avatar

Tom L.

Yelp
Fantastic service, food, and on-site brewed beers. Lots of different environments, from the bar to the private dining room. Great for groups at the community table. Ask for the secret back porch!
google avatar

Louise B.

Yelp
Visiting friends in Waynesville we had a 30 min wait to get into this bustling brewhaus at lunchtime, even on the bar side (there's also a family section) so be sure to stop by and get on the list early, so you're not left high and dry waiting it out for a table. Then go browse and shop the local retailers, it's a very cute main street! NE Hazy IPA surprised us with its refreshing hoppiness and fuller body as hubby and I both tend to pass on hazys for the lack of body. Brews range in price, ours $5 & 5.50/pint. Even a cocktail menu for those skipping the hops. Food was mighty tasty, using top notch locally sourced produce & land proteins, many house made sauces infusing brews whenever possible, and interesting sides. Its a very thoughtfully curated menu for any restaurant, though portions tend toward the 'just about full enough' size. Hubby is hard to please when it comes to salmon, esp being Pacific NWers, and his Sapphire Salmon $17 was cooked medium rare as requested with rice, veggies, red bell pepper sauce to round it out and raves from him vs complaints, so well done Boojum! My So Gouda Chicken with Mash & Collards was excellent, panko crusted, not greasy, & stuffed with bacon & smoked gouda then topped with a creamed mushroom sauce. Barely enough greens to make 1 of my 5 for the day, esp if you are fending off a curious hubby, they are just mighty good, easy to eat and hard to share! ;) Other interesting menu finds, some only at Dinner (*): house made black bean burger, Ahi nachos*, green bean fries, cauliflower mash, Voodoo blackened chicken & andouille fettucine*

Yelp
We eat at Boojum every time we visit Waynesville. We have never had a bad meal here. The beer selection is terrific as well. Our favorite meals are the tacos and the burgers. The service is always friendly and quick. The restaurant is always clean. It's not a bargain meal, but the pricing isn't way over the top either. I highly recommend Boojum.
google avatar

Tommie N.

Yelp
Service was good and the food was acceptable. A little pricey but so is everything these days. I liked their beer; tried a flight of five and all were good, a couple were exceptional. Nice atmosphere. Worth stopping in and forming your own opinion.
google avatar

Bryan C.

Yelp
This place was awesome, it was packed full of people but the wait time was fast and the bar is fantastic. Drinks are excellent, the fish and chips are a must try and delicious.
google avatar

Tami C.

Yelp
Great food Really nice atmosphere. Wonderful Service Really unique meals. We will be back

Tammy A.

Yelp
Beer, food and service was awesome!! Wi-Fi was terrible!! Freeman the bartender was pretty cool! I recommend the So Gouda chicken as it was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. Dry rub wings were delicious and the collard greens were so good, we went there 2 days straight. As for beer I liked the Hounds of Helles! Hubby loved 2 of the IPA's

Leanne D.

Yelp
Unfortunatley, , we had a bad experience at this visit. One of the meals, the hamburger was undercooked. We sent it back only to have it come out again raw. The servers agreed it was under cooked, however the manager, Chandler wanted to argue that it was cooked correctly. We were disappointed with the managers attitude and very argumentative demeanor. He was less than competent and very unprofessional.
google avatar

Ruth C.

Yelp
We were looking for a bite to eat and Boojum came up on our way home. We managed to get a parking spot on the street only a few feet away from the Brewery. We were able to find 2 seats at the bar so we didn't have to wait for a table. Staff here is super friendly and attentive. Food was good! We had some pretzels and beer cheese, loaded baked potato soup and fish tacos! Yum, yum and yum! Also had a special pear & prosecco cocktail. I need to figure out how to make this at home! Will definitely be back when we are in the area!
google avatar

Preston M.

Yelp
We stopped by here we had never been before. I had the Baja Fish Tacos and Hounds of Helles Lager. Both were really great! I was surprised at the nice palatable flavor of the beer. It left a super light finish in the mouth. It was excellent for anyone, that enjoys sitting down and sipping on a cold one whom doesn't care for all the floral notes. Hope to come back soon and try a burger or the Hot Honey Fried Chicken!

Mingo B.

Yelp
Amazing food, great beer, great service, but expect longer than needed wait times. Staff was nice, attentive, but fell behind bc of an expected rush. Had the So Guda chicken and wowowowowo!!!! Greens were the best I've had. Holly was the best, only waited bc she sold me on the joint. A must try! Gas stations are selling this breweries juice as well! Happy we came here and might come back tomorrow, only if Shawn served us.
