I'm a booklover, so I definitely love the concept of book and bed! ♥️ The couches in the common area are super comfy, perfect for lying down with a good book. You just have to come in early and stake out your place. Hope they have more English books though. The capsule beds are okay, futon was soft and comfy. I was on the top bed and it got quite warm inside, I don't think they have a separate ac inside for you to adjust. The toilets and shower room are clean. Aside from the place, I also love the food / breakfast they served. Their black sauce/syrup thing on top of the toast is super delicious!

being forced by (by company policy) to stay at toyoko Inn hotels whenever I travel to Japan for business, I decided to experiment something totally new for me on a day off: a hotel full of BOOKS and WITHOUT TV. I was not disappointed. It's close to the Starbucks and nearly opposite Kaminarimon. That must explain the price, because the beds are not especially comfortable: it's a dormitory after all ....but that's not the point: you can spend all night on the couch reading a bed, or sleeping there. Everybody is blissfully silent. too silent to cover for the noise of the industrial AC unit. Very friendly staff that will sell you drinks etc at the bar (payment with credit card only...). Atmosphere: a bit dark, vaguely steam punk. My only mistake was taking the breakfast: looked nice, but was overly sweet. I hope to be able to visit other Book & Bed hotels!

Unique capsule hotel with wonderful staff and excellent service. Really interesting and contrasty entrance too. Central lounge area integrated into the room area makes for much more interactions (but possibly also noise) compared to other hotels. Not many rooms so book ahead (pun intended!).

Have you ever wanted to sleep in a bookstore? Well here you can. It's very clean and you're sleeping in small capsules bunk beds made to looks like book shelves with books everywhere. It's well located right next to Asakusa station, Sensoji and Sumida river. And it does operate a bar. It's not quite a Hostel. It lacks a kitchen and coin laundry so it's awkward for backpackers who want to spend a few nights here. There is very little private space as well either as the dorm space and eating space and lounge are all the same. Be mindful they do not accept cash.

Cozy spot. Bit noisy if you want to sleep by 10. Towel rental is available. 2 hangers and a towel rack along with a safe. Books are abundant.. variety of English and Japanese.

This isn't your typical hostel. Japan just knows how to do it right. It's clean, it's quiet and it's cozy. Their coffee is so unique, the location is prime and it's a great place to get some work done. I spent 8 nights here and the only complaint I have is the mattress as it is quite thin so my back was a bit stiff after a few nights.

Unique capsule experience. It felt like sleeping in a library. It was very cozy and comfortable. They have English books available and the staff speaks fluent English as well.

Their check-in time is 4pm. Even you arrived at 3.50pm they won't let you check-in. It is not cheap, it is just a place for youngster take photo to post. You can get better B&B with better service and rate in Asakusa. Toilet not enough and on peak morning time guess need to wait outiside. No drinking water machine for guess to fill anytime, need to approach staff at the bar counter for it. It is troublesome during night time.
