There’s something about being in a bookstore you absolutely have to love. The smell of the books, being able to actually touch and feel the books. It’s a great feeling. And I always love how quaint Books & Books is while having a vast selection of books. I’m even more excited for the new opening of Banh taking over their food bar! Can’t wait!

We love going to Books & Books in Coconut Grove. My girls love reading and they have a great selection of books. My daughter finally found the Cat Kid Comic Club book by the creator of Dog Man! We definitely recommend Books & Books.

If you like reading or just books in general 😂 you need to come here! This is the most beautiful bookstore I’ve ever been to. The neighborhood in general is so cute. This is the perfect spot to stop on a weekend walk and grab a nice book. Enjoy!

A beautiful store with great book selection! Picture is author/survivor Kathy Kleiner. The talk and book signing were very well run. It is an inviting place to be.. whether for shopping and/or events!!

Always a delight to see a bookstore and that not all of them have died out. It is a smalller version of their other bookstores but still offering a variety of books to explore for all ages.

Yelp
3 level bookstore that has banned books! I was in heaven here. They have so many books and selections for a great price. Everyone was really nice. Cute location. I love this place

Yelp
I love this bookstore! It's a lovely local chain with a great selection and friendly staff. It's in a prime location and has reasonably priced books.

Yelp
Best local bookstore chain!!! The staff is helpful if you want them to be, and otherwise lets you browse the well organized, and well stocked, shelves at leisure

Yelp
I usually frequent the Gables location, but this one is my second favorite. I love the upstairs area! This location has curated selections and suggestions just like the other ones. It's smaller than the Gables but just as great. Their WiFi was down, but they were willing to call another location to ring up the books for me. They also honor the educator discount.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for a bookstore and Books & Books did not disappoint. The space isn't huge, but man they pack in such a wide variety of books. They also pack the books floor to ceiling, with cute library ladders throughout the shop. Their upstairs section was my favorite. I thought the children's section was so fun and had such a great variety of both books and toys. Their best sellers section also had a great layout. They set the books up in a way that made you want to grab one off the shelf and start reading. They also have a few cafe tables outside for customers. Overall a great way to spend an afternoon!

Yelp
If you are in Coconut Grove, Books & Books is the coziest book store you will ever go into. The place has tons of books and special editions that you can only find online or at Books & Books! The store has great ambiance and a very helpful staff! Every time I go to that area I always buy a book or two and spend a minimum of 35 minutes just exploring before I even pick a book because it's just so relaxing. Great value and reasonable prices of books and accessories!

Yelp
Books & Books is the best! Anytime I'm in Coconut Grove I know I need to swing by here and check out their awesome selection. The store is filled with so many options for books, gifts, and everything in between. They even have beer and wine in case you want to hang out outside. The staff is always so kind and helpful. The aesthetic is truly awesome. It's a little gem. It's great to support local! Can't wait to come back again soon!

Yelp
What a cool place. If I could leave the review at that, I would, cause it says it all but hey if I must. I ended up wandering there to kill some time and realized it looked like a place out of ... well, a place that would be in a really cool book or a fairytale. Very very cool

Yelp
This place is a vibe! It has great book options and feels so homey. It's two stories and has a bathroom. I was pleased with all the different book options they had. I even took a book called dinner party home. They sell great greeting cards too. You want to keep coming back to this place.

Yelp
Mitchell Kaplan founded Books & Books in 1982 in a 500 sq ft space in Coral Gables when he realized that he loved books more than going to law school. Somehow this independent book seller has managed to stay in business in a time when most books are bought online. One of the ways they have stayed relevant is by hosting over 60 author events every month. You can check their website for the online calendar listing all of the events. Books & Books also sponsors one of my favorite events every November, the Miami Book Fair, where 300 hundred authors converge on the Wolfson Campus of Miami Dade College for a week of one of a kind literary events. The fair was started in 1984 by Miami-Dade College Wolfson Campus President, Eduardo J. Padrón and Mitchell Kaplan in partnership with the Miami library system. Many famous people, artists, athletes, politicians, and celebrities have come to Miami to speak about their books at the fair.  It is now the largest literary festival in the country. I was wandering Coconut Grove when I spotted this branch of the Book & Books store. Books & Books has now expanded to seven locations including this one in Coconut Grove that opened in 2019. Unlike ordering online, here you can grab some wine or coffee and light bites from the small cafe while you peruse the books. There is something magical about visiting a bookstore and getting that personal touch like talking to a friendly staff member and asking for a recommendation. It is so great that there is still a place where you can be around other bibliophiles. Bookstores just make me happy. Please consider supporting this wonderful local business that brings so much to our community.

Yelp
Dropped in after having a few drinks with my friends. What an awesome location with great variety. There were so many tempting books from cookbooks, Miami themed books, fiction oh just so many options. We spent time browsing downstairs then headed upstairs for even more options. We found cute cards on the way up which were needed for upcoming events. We each decided on a book and will swap with each other when done. Great selection a lot of autographed books, I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Great selection of books no matter the genre! Very friendly staff with great suggestions as well. Can enjoy a quiet read upstairs. Newer books are right when you walk in. Great books for fashion, architecture, art, etc. enthusiasts. Plenty of great gift ideas as well. Do not miss a quick stop here.

Yelp
I love me a good bookshop. I'd already visited the larger Books & Books in Coral Gables. When I stopped by Le Pain Quotidien for breakfast, I figured I'd pop in here too. They were just opening and I was greeted warmly. There were already a couple of other customers coming in, too. It's a very narrow store but they make great use of the space. Much like the other location they have floor to ceiling shelving, nice robust wood with library ladders. I made a beeline upstairs to the fiction and essays sections. They had a few titles I'd seen at the other store, and they were in good condition too. I picked up a novel and an essay collection that were on my mind. The area upstairs has a huge window with lots of natural light. It was a nice space to browse in. One of the booksellers stopped by to ask if I needed help finding anything, but I'd already picked out my selections. Downstairs they have more new releases. There's also a small cafe with some drinks, I'm not sure what else they serve. There were a couple of cafe tables set up outside to hang out at, too. Up the back I found a little card section with cute greetings cards, so I got one of those too. Staff were really friendly and happy to help patrons find a book. They also had some lively music playing. Great little bookshop and it's a perfect fit for the Coconut Grove neighborhood.

Yelp
Every time I hang out at the Grove I can't help but stop by Books & Books. Whether I'm looking for something specific or just wondering to see what my eyes will grasp, there is always something for me to buy/check out when I'm there. At this point, I would say Books & Books is like a form of meditation for me lol. I love seeing the ongoing shelves filled with books and going upstairs to look for more interesting finds. From the natural lighting to the beautifully organized assortment, everything in this place is 10/10. What makes this spot extra special is the service -- knowing that you can chat with someone who can make your experience so much more intimate is what I value more than anything. If you're ever in the mood to browse for a book, this is the spot for you.

Yelp
Honestly, this is just the best indie bookstore to have in my city! This is one of the branch locations, so it is a bit smaller - but it is still cozy and well organized by genre. Upstairs is generally YA, children, romance and other fiction; downstairs tends to be nonfiction, cooking, art books, new releases and bestsellers. Their selection is certainly going to be smaller than a big box store/national chains, but I've always found they have a good selection of newer releases, popular backlists, and indie authors (especially local authors!) - and they are always willing to special order a book for you if they don't have it in stock. Overall, I will always stop at Books & Books over a national brand for my new releases!

Yelp
This is a great bookstore!! Upon entry, we were immediately greeted by the shopkeeper asking if we needed any help. No. A bookworm usually likes to piddle around until they find something interesting. I decided to climb the stairs to a heaven of books. I was pleasantly surprised to see the ladder and so badly wanted to swing back and forth, but there were two women looking around that probably would have told the shopkeeper that I was playing around. The little tikes section is upstairs which might be a bad idea as the ladder is a sure attraction. I don't think there is an elevator from the first floor to the second and one should hold on to the rail tightly as they descend the stairs. There is a coffee shop next door and if the shopkeeper allows you to poke around in the bookstore, this is a great place to hang out with a cup of coffee and a good book on a rainy day.

Yelp
I went to Books and Books in Coconut Grove to look for a book and I found it there. Books and books is my go to bookstore as this neighborhood bookstore have a vast collection and assortment of books. The staff are always ready and happy to assist you.

Yelp
A woman with black hair and bangs who works there was extremely rude to me at this location. Not sure if she was having a bad day but she should not take it out on customers. The Gables location is much nicer with a wider selection and friendly staff.

Yelp
Of course your books are very good because of your name, but what I really like is that the books have chickens! Kiss kiss, love chickens

Yelp
A place that helps to oxygenate and feel a great volume of connection with the inner space through books, melodies to the soul, love expressed in letters, interpreting poetry in chocolates, an ephemeral moment with the chemistry of a well-made classic coffee. A natural, sober place, a spark of magic for lovers of romanticism. The service meets all the requirements.

Yelp
My daughter was dying to go to this cute location at Coconut Grove and this past Saturday I took her and we loved it. It has two floors, filled with interesting books, tables outside to enjoy a cup of coffee or even a glass of wine! while you read. They also sell food and they had a pie that was calling my name. They have Happy Hour and their service was great. We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I love this location and gem of a bookstore. Come here to find all my books, staff give great recommendations! Look forward to coming here and finding new reads

Yelp
A nice surprise to find this quaint bookshop on our travels in Coconut Grove. The two story shop was well organized with wall to ceiling shelves. Store front window let in lots of light. There is a section in the front with staff recommendations that I always love checking out. I was able to find one of the books from my 100 book bucket list there. If you are in the area stop by to support this small business!!

Yelp
Cute bookstore. Support local businesses! The workers/owners were all very friendly and helpful. I ended up picking a book for myself. They have a vast selection of books of all genres and they also gift wrap for you if you are gifting it to someone.

Yelp
Loved browsing this little book store, it's small but has a nicely curated selection of books, there is also a small cafe. I was very glad to find this little peaceful gem in the middle of the grove!

Yelp
This has quickly become one of my absolute favorite places for a Sunday morning noshing. You'll find the cafe manager John very warmly and graciously inviting you to sit and discover the menu. I recommend sitting at the counter. He's a lovely person to chat with, and his recommendations are spot on. He'll tell you everything is delicious, but that's because he's absolutely right. Everything is made to order, and it certainly tastes that way. Everything is fresh and crispy. My current favorite item is the tuna and cucumber sandwich on Zak the Baker bread. Afterwards, be sure to save some room for coffee and dessert. The cheesecake is especially good. Apparently a man who is an engineer but bakes cheesecakes as a hobby makes them, which explains the love in every bite I feel I most definitely taste. The recent raspberry slice I had had a thick layer of raspberry compote (?). It was fresh, it was tart, it was DIVINE.

Yelp
The customer service was incredibly sweet and welcoming. They were extremely inviting. We wondered in there and I'm happy we did. They have an interesting book selection- which was fun to walk through. They also have a beautiful building. Even if you aren't looking for a specific book, go check it out!! It's so worth it.

Yelp
Aesthetically cool and hip-lookin'. Great reading environment upstairs, for sure. I enjoyed pacing back-and-forth while scanning the walls. They are certainly more organized than other small bookstores. There is likely at least one employee there that can locate something specific you're looking for. They're pretty welcoming and ready to help. I was looking for any book on two specific authors but they didn't have any. They did offer to order any of those books for me or to point me to a location that did have it, which was nice not to get a mere "don't have it". There's a cute reading area upstairs with children's tables to read. They also have a high-top table with more than 5-6 seats facing a large window that allows a beautiful natural lighting into the room. They have those sliding, barn ladders you can use to reach the top shelves. There seems to have been a planning of some sort of event that would be occurring later that week that involved "beer, wine and books". They could not tell me exactly when that event would be happening but they encouraged my husband and I to keep up with it to join them. It was thoughtful to semi-include is in their meeting. Nice place to stop by and kill some time.

Yelp
Books & Books is a model independent books shop. It is one of my favorite stops in Coconut Grove. The selection is extensive and the staff is friendly and knowledgable.

Yelp
pretty cute lil spot. I grabbed cookies here this week on my way out of a rain shower. Cookies were great, but little did i know they were $3 each, a bit steep for 2 cookies. $6.50 total yikes. They were ok, definitely not at a $3 tag, but overall great service, and polite folks here. Outdoor seating and looks like they have cakes , deserts and a bit of food options along with a book store as well. Would return, very friendly and kind place ;)

Yelp
Stopped by this place for a late lunch. Loved the food. We had the Israeli salad and a board with white bean and kale dip, hummus, goat cheese, prosciutto, labneh, and pita/bread. Everything was so delicious. I especially loved the labneh and Israeli salad. The service was also amazing! Our waiter was really nice and had great suggestions as to what we should eat. Definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
Great little shop that's run by great people that gave fantastic customer service. I'm not from Florida but experiencing little shops like these make a trip so great.
