This place is a book lover's dream! We were immediately greeted by the sweetest man who was so kind and very excited to talk about books and bookstores with us. The used book selection is incredible and expansive! I found an incredible signed Louise Erdrich book out of the blue which made me very excited. A great place to visit for some solid used book hunting in Santa Fe!

Google
Great selection of old and out of print books on many different topics. Definitely a nice place to browse and we enjoyed talking to the owner.

Google
An amazing little gem of a used bookstore. Every book here is in excellent condition and carefully arranged on the shelf alphabetically. A used bookstore in the grand old tradition of used bookstores, brimming with forgotten tomes filled with mystery and wonder. Great prices and friendly owners,

Google
Nice store with a good selection of books in various genres. At first the woman behind the cash/wrap was so quiet and solemn I assumed she was charm-free, but when she responded to my question about reshelving books in the children's section with a joke about children and architects tending not to reshelve the books they took out, I revised my assumption and silently apologized to her.

Google
I have found several special books at Books of Interest while browsing. One was a very nice old book with colored pictures of old cars, and I have bought several interesting children’s books. The store is very well organized and tidy, and has several original art works for sale. In enjoy going there to see what treasure I might find while I am looking for nothing in particular.

Google
Very well organized book store! Reasonable prices and extensive collection of 📚! Probably can boast the best used book store collection of books on New Mexico and Native American history in the State.

Google
Unexpected treasure trove of books to choose from. Purchased several of local interest to bring home to read and continue our interest and appreciation in New Mexico. We enjoyed visiting with the owner. Books are such an important part of our home and we are so thrilled to have added some more to our collection. Thank you for that unexpected treat.

Google
Really nice little book shop. Not a huge selection, but the books they do have are all killer, no filler. Basically a collection of first editions and other nice versions of books. I visited them 19 years ago and got a fantastic copy of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and the place always stuck out in my mind, so I made it a priority to stop by when we were traveling through the area on a road trip. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're interested in nicer versions of books or rare books!

Yelp
It may not look like much but it's one of the all-time best used bookstores. Extremely well-curated across all genres with a special focus on local interest and art.

Yelp
From the outside, Books of Interest didn't look especially promising--but step inside and it's a well-stocked, welcoming bookstore with an owner who is just a lovely human and a true bibliophile. Human interaction 10/10. Thank you, Leo! I only had a couple hours to browse, but already looking forward to my next visit. Hot Tip: Their selection of art books and New Mexico interest/history is well curated.

Yelp
Elizabeth and Leo Quality individuals that know their Books No doubt about that and in addition are very adept at their knowledge of the Kingdom of Santa Fe

Yelp
I really enjoyed this book store. I could tell the books are selected carefully and there is a personal touch. I bought several very interesting books and the prices are reasonable. The owner Leo is very friendly and helpful and he shared his story with me about starting his business which was inspiring. I will definitely be back. Thank you!

Yelp
Best bookstore in town if you love art books and poetry. But what makes it the best bookstore is the wonderful owners!

Yelp
Love this book store and love chatting with the owner just a great guy who you could tell what you were looking for and he would point you in the right direction. They have a wonderful southwestern rock art and ruin collection. Also lots of great art books in general. You could very easily spend a couple hours here just browsing. if you need a non outdoor activity it's a wonderful way to spend some time with fairly easy access and parking in the front.

Yelp
While passing through town, we noticed this business because we found the name of the store amusing! Happened to then look it up on Yelp and found the strong reviews, so the next day, we stopped by and unexpectedly dropped nearly $300 on used books (and had to restrain ourselves to even get it to that amount). Fabulous inventory, very well curated. Not a lot of schlock. Heavy on art, design, architecture and regional history. Everything I picked up was VG+ to Like New quality -- the owner is selling quality books. He also has a lot of out of print books, so it's also quite fun to browse.

Yelp
Amazing used book store - could not pull myself away, every turn had a new section of well organized titles that I had to have! Excellent section - solid recommendation!

Yelp
I love used bookstores, and this one is one of the better ones I've been to. It's well organized and reasonably priced. The owner was friendly as well. Others have mentioned the fact that the stock leans towards art books. This is true, and I suppose it's because of the location. However, I would have liked to see more literature/poetry.

Yelp
Very nice bookstore with a focus on art (surprise surpise). The locale is a converted house and is bright and cheery. There is ample parking in back. The inventory selection skill of the owner is excellent and prices are reasonable. It's heavy on the cookbooks, but that may be acceptable for Santa Fe. I do not collect art books. Thank god or I would have spent $2500 and had to rent a truck. If you are looking for art books this shop is an excellent resource. In fact, the art collection was so good I had to deliberately ignore it, lest I ended up buying to the exclusion of subjects in which I have more interest. There is a small, but interesting collection of music CDs oddly layed out flat on a table in the foyer. Way too much jazz for my taste, but considering the density of unrefined bohemians in the environs it is understandable. The owner is facile with mail order and he sent my books to me very well packed.

Yelp
Not a bad store. I find the selection to be rather typical, run of the mill classics. I don't think there are very many books in here published after 2000. I am not saying don't shop here, I will continue to, but I think I am going to start calling this store "Books I Read Freshman and Sophomore Year of College."

Yelp
This is probably the BEST boolstore I have been to in the Southwest (so far). I go often to Tucson, bt there is NO STORE anywhere that has this incredible a selection of art books and a fabulous selelction of southwest and Native American books as well. My husband and I spent several hours there and bought a ton of books and they shipped them back to New Jersey for us. The owner there was very sweet and she is also an artisan, making really nice jewelry that they also sell there. I lived in New York City for most of my life and have not found an art bookstore there to rival this one in terms of slection and price! They are the reduced price Rizzoli Book Store of the Southwest! THE BEST!! I cannot wait to go back to Santa Fe and see them again!

Yelp
I've known Leo and Elizabeth (the owners) for around 30 years, and I've bought enough books in their shop to practically open my own book store. This is a wonderful used book store, with stock chosen by book and art book lovers, not by barcode sales. The art, photography, and Southwest sections are especially strong. It's well worth a visit whether you live in the area or are simply vacationing.

Yelp
This bookstore is absolutely amazing. I wandered in and fell in love with the warm atmosphere and found a great selection of books, both classics and totally unexpected finds. I could spend days in here...

Yelp
One of Jonathan and my favorite book stores since Borders closed. The owners are very sweet and helpful. Plus they had pastels for sale that were the perfect gift for Jonathan for his birthday.

Yelp
Pleasant little store, featuring mostly art books, near the train depot. Everything is well displayed, but the non-art books are only so-so.

Yelp
This bookstore had a great section of books about Southwest and local history, including titles we had not seen anywhere else in town. Poetry section great also. I found books from bestseller list in the past couple of years plus lots of classic literature. The store is located in an old 1930s Sears catalog Craftsman done in adobe. A little hard to find on a one-way street just off Sandoval but worth the trip.

Janet H.

Yelp
What a great find! This store has reasonable prices, well organized shelves and a very thoughtful selection. The art section is the best I've ever seen and isn't overpriced. The owner is very nice and knowledgeable. I wish I had more time to browse as there were a lot of gems!

Leslie L.

Yelp
This book store, in an old house, is beautifully organized, open and clean. It's just up a side street from Double Take in the Railyard District, and I kind of stumbled on it. The owner couldn't have been friendlier, but didn't impose on my browsing at all. The selection is broad, and I easily found a book about the area that had been highly recommended. Because Books of Interest is a used-book store, the prices are very reasonable. The art is for sale as well, and it's lovely. I was walking, but there is ample parking behind the building for anyone in a car.

Yelp
Leo Romero may be the best bookstore owner in Santa Fe. He knows what he has, and the collection of art books and books of the Southwest are top notch. He is also very helpful. BTW, he is also a fine poet.
