Bookstore At Fitger's

Great bookstore, I just went for the second time (last time was 3 years ago) and the woman who helped me, I believe she’s he owner, gave me a great rec both times.

Small and cozy but still packed with books! I loved the variety of old and new, they have a really great selection of cool editions of classics. I especially loved perusing their employee recommendation corner, it was fun to see the personality of each selection. I noted down some books for later and bought a book from those shelves! There was also a good selection of books and friendly staff.

What a gem of a place! I only wish it was bigger and had more of a sale section. The genres were spread out a bit weird, but they had a lovely large section of local works! Great place to stop and shop for a while. I picked a book on fungus )$26.99)!

Cute bookstore! Helpful staff, my son got a hardcover book and they had a fabulous selection of contemporary fiction.

The Fitger's bookstore had the best kids book selection I've seen in a while. For such a small shop it had a good selection of current/popular books and oldies but goodies for all ages. I did feel the staff could have been a bit friendlier but overall I really enjoyed this store and will be a repeat customer.

Great local spot for books, gifts, and children's toys! Staff are always super friendly and helpful. Great selection of books even-though the store isn't super huge. Including some great WI/MN regional books of both fiction and non fiction!

The staff was so helpful--they had a great selection. I am always on the lookout for diverse authors, and I was not disappointed. Plus, I'm a sucker for quirky, historic buildings.

One of my favorite bookstores - thoughtfully curated, in a nice space. I always get a few to several books when we come up north, and some of my favorites in the past few years have been from here.

This bookstore is amazing! It feels spacious and yet packed to the ceiling. I have no idea how to do this. The selection is so well curated I found a book I've been looking for for more than a year. I also found books I didn't know existed and I had to have. The staff is very helpful and I'll be back.

This bookstore had so many books that I hadn't found other places, great selection and very up to date on the new books that are coming out. I loved that there seemed to be a lot of books on display about important black leaders and books on display that relate to the BLM movement. Grace was incredible, she helped my friend and I find books and explore different genres. She was so helpful and friendly, I'll definitely recommend this place especially because of her incredible service and passion for reading!!

I visited the bookstore this evening - and although the selection is rather limited overall, it has a good selection of regional books & children's books. Also, the young woman working there was *very* friendly.

This is located downstairs on the first floor. This building is so old, when I took the elevator, my knees buckled. Before you walk in there's a cart with a bunch of hardcover book and kids books at 50% off. I think they could go lower, but it will do. This store is in 3 sections, and very spacious. Which is what I think a bookstore should be. What I love about the variety is that it tends to promote local. I even bought a Betty's Pies cookbook. Basil got Lost Duluth. So far we have local cookbooks, local history, and a prominent display of TC local mystery authors. A lot of their earlier works also. There is a solitary display of local Duluth resident Wendy Webb. There are about 10 copies a piece of each of her ghost themed mysteries. Obviously, we ran into some Bob Dylan books. Many author readings happen here, I'll definitely deep my eyes open for these events. On your way up or back from the North Shore, check out all of Fitgers historical building.

Great store. It sounds like a cliche but they truly have a friendly, knowledgeable staff. They were able to help me remember an author I needed help with and also had great suggestions for authors like her. Just the right size for a neighborhood independent bookstore with a little of everything and a lot in great sections like fiction, children's and regional titles too. Wonderful souvenirs and tons of toys. Something for everyone.

A wonderful independent bookstore that made Christmas shopping easy. It's easy to get help and there is an excellent selection of local authors as well as best sellers. I also loved shopping for a few toys for kids.
