My room was absolutely perfect for the solo traveler. It wasn't very big but it had everything I needed and was quiet and had excellent A/C which was much needed due to the heat and humidity. The room and bathroom were perfectly clean and in excellent condition. There's a lovely, and again very cool (in both senses of the word), cafe on the ground floor that serves great coffee, desserts and more. It is perfectly situated with a convenience store opposite and several restaurants and cafes nearby. The subway is literally around the corner and even though I traveled far and wide in the city, I just about always started there, so this is a great place to stay if you're off exploring. Although I didn't have much interaction with the staff, when I did they were very friendly and helpful. Tokyo is a wonderful place with so much to see and do. I intend to return and I see no reason not to stay here again.

A great little spot for short stays - we stayed the night we arrived in Japan before travelling down to Kyoto, so this was perfect for us. Rooms are quite small, but bed was comfy and bathroom & shower were great.

As long as you're expecting a cute and cosy boutique hotel and not an executive suite, you won't be disappointed. The rooms are compact but comfortable and the hotel is in a great spot to explore the area from. The cafe downstairs seemed very popular all day but we didn't get time to try it. Staff are friendly and polite. Really enjoyed my stay. Thank you.

nice spot in a good location, about 10 minutes to golden gai walk, cold ac, some rooms can be small but the price is good if you can book through expedia

Stayed here February 6-8, 2025. Upon checking in we got assigned a room that had a strong odor of mold and cigarettes. We talked to the front desk and they pretty much said you can leave but we won’t be refunding you. We then even offered to just check out the next day and still be charged for one night and was hoping for a refund for the second night they declined and said no. We reached out to agoda (who we booked with) and they reached out to the hotel. The hotel then agreed to give us a different room. The different room had a less noticeable mold smell but even stronger cigarette smell. Customer service sucks! While the location is great, book somewhere else!

This is a great little stay. We stayed in the top floor room with a private bathroom and it was very spacious with a comfy bed. The room is beautiful and the bathroom too. Our only issue was the shower pressure was pretty weak. Good proximity to the city and really close to the excellent breakfast spot "&sandwich" and coffee called "eight coffee".

We absolutely loved bookteabed! Checkin process was simple. The room was quite spacious, enough space to walk as well as have two to three open suitcases on the floor. They provide a little mini fridge, a tv, wifi, and a heater. The bed is really comfortable, mattress and pillows are on the firmer side, the bed is on the floor Japanese style. Really spacious bed for two people, between a full and queen size bed. The bathroom is spacious, the toilet is a bidet, they provide spare toothbrushes and razors, and towels and robes. The shower includes shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The shower pressure was excellent, and the water was hot (if you want it to be). Check out was at 10:00 a.m. They held our bags after check out at no additional cost so we could continue to explore the city before our flight. The Shinjuku Gyoemmae station is a two min walk from the hotel and connects to everywhere in Tokyo. There's a family mart across the street open 24/7 where you can buy meals, snacks, water (large bottle is 120 yen). Lots of restaurants and other shops nearby to buy basic necessities. If you are looking for cheap coffee and a quick breakfast (think croissant), Lawsons is just down the road.

The main strength of this place is the proximity to the metro stop (~50 meters) and Shinjuku neighbourhood (5 minutes walk). Overall, you will get a fair quality compared to the price - the bnb will have everything you need. The only annoying issue I encountered is the lack of curtains on the windows and wall insulation, which in a lively area like that could be a problem (especially in the weekend). Apart from that, I would recommend it to whom has basic needs, especially in terms of space.
