To the woman working at the counter, my sniffling wasn’t sickness: I was tearful as I browsed your store because I thought I’d found a place that I was seen and welcomed. Then you forced a mask on me with the thinly veiled threat that it was required or get out. I understand wearing a mask yourself if immunocompromised but to make others adhere to your will when the pandemic has ended (it’s 2025), was too much. If one is so impaired they cannot breathe others’ air, please do not be in public spaces. One must take care of themselves. But as (presumably) the owner, you can conduct your business as you want. Just know it drove me out and left me feeling unwelcome. And I was so excited to support your business. I’ve been there before but after this, I won’t be back.
Such a sad experience with a beautifully promising space.
Edit for owner response: I appreciate your concerns for one’s own health. I’ve had immunocompromised family who had to take extra precautions themselves. Everyone must do what they think is right in this life. I hope you are well going forward.
