Boom Battle Bar Exeter

We booked axe throwing and crazy golf. under £40 a person for both activities and drinks is great value for money; the axe throwing was for an hour was really good too!! However, the music was so deafeningly loud that we literally gave up on trying to converse with each other at one point. When the DJ left and the music was more acceptable, we were moved to shuffleboard, which we enjoyed a bit more. The crazy golf was really creative and would recommend, this was a bit further from any speakers in its favour. I was also not impressed to see someone was admitted with a (what seemed to be) 6-month old baby and no visible ear protection (walked right passed us) was allowed in.

I've visited Boom Battle Bar a few times now, I've enjoyed the virtual darts and the crazy golf course. The drinks are reasonably priced and the food is really good! The atmosphere is my favourite part of the venue though, neon lights and coloured spotlights all over, plus a very cool party button in the loos. On this visit we did have an ulterior motive, scouting the venue out for a photoshoot location! We got some fabulous test snaps and will be in touch re hiring the place.

Thank you so much Paeony for a wonderful evening! My husband and I were struggling to figure out how to spend our anniversary, but a few glasses of wine and some games later we had an amazing night. Paeony was wonderful, truly a treasure to the team. Will be back with my kids soon!

We held our work Christmas function at Boom Battle Bar Exeter yesterday afternoon and it was absolutely spot on. We had pre booked shuffleboard, darts, axe throwing and pool tables, and within a few hours everyone was having such a good time that we ended up booking the karaoke room as well. It’s a brilliant venue for getting staff to properly interact. People who don’t normally work closely together got to relax, have a laugh and actually chat. The atmosphere makes it easy and natural, no pressure, just good fun. The staff were exceptional throughout. Friendly, attentive and genuinely looked after us from start to finish, which makes a massive difference when you’ve got a big group. We all had a very good time and will definitely be back again next year. Highly recommend for team events or a good afternoon out.

What a fanatic day today for my birthday! We did Axe throwing and Alice was our host! She was so lovely and amazing! Really engaging and made the axe throwing experience so much fun! Also a shout out to Tiffany! Lovely personality and very warm and friendly! All the staff we met today have been lovely! Food was so delicious and the gentleman working today kindly offered to put our pork belly bites on just before we started! Also thank you for my birthday drink! It was very kind of you! Would recommend this experience to anyone! We are really looking forward to returning here soon!

Yesterday myself and my boyfriend had a fun evening of axe throwing and crazier golf. Our host for the axe throwing (Carl) was absolutely amazing. He helped a lot as I myself had never done axe throwing before and made our night. And absolutely the biggest hype man going!😆 The crazy golf was just as fun to finish off our night. A big thanks to Carl :)

My friends and I did the private Karaoke booth there for two hours on 10th January 2026. Overall the experience and the atmosphere was very good. There were some issues. First issue was the code didn't work to access the karaoke, so we were kindly given a master code for two hours. Second issue was my friend, who has mobility issues, pressed the button for drinks and no one came. This resulted in me having to go out and assist. Third issue, and this is the biggest issue, was that we had booked the karaoke room as something to do amongst friends in private. However, people were constantly walking in and out and at one point a member of staff walked in to question why we were still in the room just after 8pm, even though we had paid for 2 hours. Someone also walked directly in the room, stood in the middle of it, stared at us and then left. We paid for private karaoke that wasn't very private. The room either needs to be cordoned off or a coded lock be put on the door so no one can enter. Also maybe put in an internal telephone into the room so we can contact staff and vice versa. They have that in Japan.

We came here for a session of axe throwing and loved it! Such a good vibe and we had Guy as our instructor, I can’t say a bad word about him. He led it very well and had a good laugh with us!
