Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak

Grabbed Set 1 + a potato cake at Power Nasi Lemak ($5.50). The taste was okay overall, but the chili was a bit too sweet for my liking. I would have preferred a more spicy sambal.

1) The rice doesn't taste lemak. No go. 2) Chilli too sweet and gives salty after-taste. No go. 3) Chicken wing ok for me (crispy outside, moist inside, bone doesn't appear black). However my friend said his got the foul chicken smell. Maybe I'm lucky or too numb to it. 4) Egg is a bit rubbery (maybe pre-prepared for too long). 5) Price is average ($4.5 for chicken wing set) 6) Didn't get to try the ottah. (Sold out) 7) Queue is a killer. (1 star for atmosphere) Personally, i wouldn't return for this nasi lemak. Residents living nearby probably ok/support this, but my take is traveling/queuing for this is a waste of time.

After 20yrs coming back to this place canceled a trip as pdvl to get their food. Ordered 2 packets of nasi lemak with telur dada, paru, ayam berempah and bagadel. First packet correct. Second packet while sorting payment didnt notice. Came back with 2nd packet missing paru but charged the same $10 each. Dissappointing. They used to be really good back in the days rice quantity used to be slightly more. Even if cost price go up quality and quantity matters from the heart not from $$$ as you have a name. Had to cook extra rice and split paru just to feel the old ways. Am not discouraging them but in hope they dont do this to any other customer. I lived there in the 80's went back in 2005 to 2008 and managed again in 2026. The place is still very nostalgic. Dont be too complacent

Been a long time since i last ate here and i think the pricing increase alot. Set 1 add 1 chicken wing and eating there (not tabao) is $7. And no cucumber even though the set put have cucumber. The picture for set 1 put $4.50 so add 1 chicken wing is $2.50 ah~(i see the novena branch reviews pics is $1.80; or the novena one is franchise and not as nice so its cheaper?) I will go to the novena branch to try it out to edit this review to make it fair. The chicken wing is my favourite and is extremely addictive and delicious. Dab with the sambal chilli sauce and it is heavenly. $7 is still ok because i add 1 chicken wing and i will still patronize it because it has 1 of the best chicken wing. The other nice one is at jurong west st 42 i think. It opens for 24 hours and confirm have queue, sometimes to the steps. Waiting time (depends how far u in the queue is average 10-40mins)

Closes at 3.30am so it's a good supper spot. Sambal chilli is really good. Fried chicken skin is crispy but meat is not marinated so lacks different layers of flavour. The rest of the items are okish. The price is reasonable and the service is fast.

food is alright but not worth the price…. ordered 2 wings, otah and a egg $8.90, rather u get the nasi lemak behind. only good thing is open late at night, if ure craving for nasi lemak

Chili is good Rich like change new type Chicken wing taste not that good outside the skin marinated inside can’t taste much Standard drop I guess Price also like increase since I last went there Overall ok la can eat

Came at 11pm and tried to use the CDC voucher ($21), but got told that they only accept CDC vouchers in the day…? So we ended up paying via paynow. The rice was fragrant but the sambal was too sweet and okay only. The portion for the Berempah chicken was quite disappointing (one drumstick); although the menu states a quarter chicken. They also forgot to give an egg to a meal, we didn’t go back to ask for it because the service by the uncle wasn’t very good. The chicken wing was cold, would have been nicer because the batter does taste pretty good. Overall would only come back for supper if we don’t have any other choices. Decent supper spot.
