Superb food and really friendly team. Thoroughly recommend. We had an absolutely fantastic meal. 17 of us ate together and every single meal was the same high quality and all arrived at the same time. Testament to the excellent chefs. Thanks for a great evening.

What a hidden gem! ||Me and my family stayed here for a few nights in January there were 16 of us, kids and lots of dogs! |The staff made such an effort to accommodate us, despite how chaotic we are. ||The food was constantly fantastic! Proper hearty pub grub. They also have great options for veggies and vegans. ||The rooms were lovely, nice and warm even in -5° icy January weather! ||The area itself is absolutely stunning. There’s a lovely walk with some beautiful views and a stream nearby.||Extra credit to the front of house staff who made such an effort. They were so friendly, got to know us and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. ||Thank you!!

Spend a lot of time in and around the we at lakes and this place has become my favourite by miles. Lost count of how many great meals we have had here, pictures show lamb hot pot ( delicious) fish pie ( perfect) and roast rump of lamb on a Sunday that was the best I have had in years, all accompanied by lovely veg cooked perfectly. Clearly everything is cooked with love and it shows. Service is warm and friendly. If you are in the area, go!

Dropped in for a late lunch on NY day and the lovely staff managed to squeeze us in just before they closed the kitchen. Despite clearly having a very busy few days and being run off their feet, the staff were in great spirits, were very warm and welcoming and the food was delicious. Great gluten free options and the pie my wife had was the best she's ever had. Super impressed would highly recommend! Will be returning!

Ate here twice recently whilst staying nearby on a hiking trip.
Food was simply some of the best pub food I've ever had and very generous portions.
Corned beef pie was rammed full of beef & the roast was excellent, needed to lay down for a nap after it! Very generous.
Absolutely top quality & great service from friendly staff. Shame it's 3 1/2 hours from my home!!!

This is a fantastic pub in Boot. The rooms are good and dog friendly, the lical area is stuning and great for walking, but the absolute best thing is the food, we stopped 3 nights and it was that good we ate in all 3 nights, could have eaten all the menu. Highly recommend this place for the food alone, but location, service are all first class. Gets busy with visitors and walkers so best to book if you want food. Deffo go here, you will not be dissapointed 👍👍👍👍

I highly recommend the Boot Inn, Eskdale. As a solo traveller you can sometimes feel a bit side-lined, especially by accommodation providers or restaurants....However, this is not the case at the Boot! I was made to feel very welcome when l enjoyed four nights at this special, well-run cosy pub in January.

Yelp
Great pub with a pretty good selection of beer and some decent food.
The location is superb and if you are staying in Boot you will no doubt be dropping in.
More locals than the other pubs in Boot and plenty of chat to be had at the bar!!
Good place for a cold refreshment if you are coming down off the hills!

Yelp
The Boot Inn is situated in the tiny hamlet of Boot in the beautiful Eskdale Valley in the Lake District. It's a favourite haunt for walkers and camper (the delightful Eskdale caravan and camping site is 2 minutes walk away). It's an excellent country pub providing good, honest pub grub and lots of local real ales. There's a terrific beer garden out the back with a decent children's play area - it's very family friendly and dogs are very welcome too. Inside there's a good sized bar area and pool table plus a TV set and helpfully they also post the latest weather forecast on the walls which is very useful if you're planning to venture off on a fell walk in the surrounding countryside. Staff are friendly and helpful and the prices are reasonable.
