Visited the BootDoctors in the summer and picked up a pair of nice hiking shoes along with some clothing. The store has a great selection of products aside from buying and getting fitted for ski boots. Highly recommended!

Very helpful crew. started a couple days with a snowboard rented from Christy's. I decided to swap to skis. This location rents through Christy's, super easy to exchange. Always pleasant, prompt service, willing to swap out my gear on a demo package whenever I wanted. Definitely would rent again from this location.

My skiing day at Telluride took an unexpected turn when my boot cracked. Bootdoctors in Mountain Village, and especially Jay, deserve more recognition than words can convey. Jay's exceptional service began with a swift assessment of my boot and valuable guidance on addressing Nordica's warranty issue. He seamlessly fitted me with a rental boot, insisting, "no charge for you, just enjoy the rest of your day." This level of generosity is a rarity, making Bootdoctors stand out among countless stores. I was genuinely astonished. Even after Nordica provided a shipping label for the damaged skis, Bootdoctors went above and beyond by boxing them up and handling the return. Finding a store with superior service is a challenge; they delivered a 10-star experience despite having no prior business with me.

Jimmy helped us out while we were in town with a new ski mount and some fresh skins . Stand up guy, very knowledgeable & friendly. Would highly recommend boot doctor don’t forget to ask for Jimmy you won’t regret it.

I paid 153 bucks to buy a new tire and have it installed on my mountain bike. And now I can’t get my tire to hold air because the stem is not properly installed. If I had the experience to do this myself I would not have paid a shop to provide professional service. Unfortunately, I don’t live near there so going back in won’t help. Feeling ripped off.

This is the only place I send friends who are visiting and looking to upgrade their gear or invest for the first time. All around fantastic team from a custom boot fitting by Sam Tisch, to demo rental from Ryan and skies purchase with Elaina. Even when friends know nothing about the gear, the team is patient and insanely generous with their knowledge - extra shout for for Sam here who legit does the best boot fitting in the state…probably country. Also gotta give kudos for everyone’s positive attitudes during the holiday season. We know the days are long for the team this time of year but my friends always leave walking on cloud 9 from the next level service. We’d give you 10 stars if Google let us!

Boot Doctors staff are unbelievably patient with our whole large crew of more than 100 on a Monday in February every year. They do a great job, and even people who are not with my crew rave about how well they've been served while we are in line to rent or return, or in some cases have adjustments made to new purchases. They hire great staff and run a great outfit.

The knowledge and expertise of the gentleman who fitted my boots was exemplary. I have rented boots dozens of times with varying degrees of success. I keep track of the boot, size, model, etc. He measured my foot carefully and fitted me in a high volume boot that was 1 size smaller (28). it was the best boot i've rented. Comfortable yet snug so i have optimal control. The line and check out process was not well organized and took too long.

We left our daughter's shoes in our car which was parked at the bottom of the mountain in Telluride. It would've taken us over 30 minutes to grab them, probably more because ski school had just finished so we checked out Bootdoctors to see if we could find shoes to buy instead. We found Vans that were just my daughter's style and they were on sale! The price was comparable to what we'd find online or in stores back home so we thought it was a great find. The cashier helped me check for sizes right away and brought two options which was considerate. We are super happy with our experience.

I recently demoed skies at Bootdoctors and was helped by Kenny and Kelly. Both listened carefully to determine my skier type and the performance I am looking for in a new ski. Both also made excellent suggestions as I tried three different skies during the day. I highly recommend Bootdoctor for any skier ready to make a new ski purchase.

Excellent service & very knowable employees. Easy to change ski out. I have been using them for years & they just get better with their service.

Good brands/models of skis. But the staff is rude and will be rude to your family and kids. Their skis are also trashed--beat up and have 4-5 stickers with other people's names from past rentals. There are way too many good options in Mountain Village where you won't be treated rudely to pay for beat up skis. Definitely won't be going back.

Sam at bootdoctors is great. She helped me get fitted for my first set of ski boots and couldn't have been more helpful with not only fitting me for boots, but making me feel excited and happy with my purchase. I look forward to returning and buying a pair of skis in the winter.

This store is impressive. Their service is awesome. I had an issue with my APEX ski boot...just missing a screw with one of the cross straps. While this store doesn't (yet) sell APEX ski boots, they had no issue in repairing my boot while I waited. Then, to my surprise, they said the repair was no charge. Thank you, James O. In response, I shopped the store and bought new ski socks and a new skull cap for under my ski helmet, just my way to say thank you to Bootdoctors. When back in Telluride, I know where to go for service and selection.

Great store. Nice employees. Helpful and attentive. Good prices. These folks know how to treat CUSTOMERS well. I highly recommend the store across from the Gondola and in MountIan village. Knowledgeable and take the time to understand your goals..

I had a good experience here a few years back when demoing a snowboard. It had a good local board shop feel. This time around was completely different. First- my wife rented boots and bindings. All good until I asked to store her shoes she wore to the shop. They advised they no longer have cubbies to store customers items. So, you rent boots but won't hold on to shoes while we rented them?..... weird and not practical. Do they expect customers to walk there in their socks? Second- unfortunately telluride mountain messed up on my wife's lesson and they did not have an instructor at 9 am. We went back at 10 and they said no refund or credit. So one hour later my wife walked back to the house with no shoes and out 30 bucks. Awesome job boot dr! You can do better.

I walked in ready to buy new boots and skis today. I asked about bootfitting: can I be helped now or make an appointment for later? The lady working the floor informed me they cannot accommodate selling new boots at this time. Like what? Bootdoctors? More like Bootchumps. Took my $3k to Telluride Sports. I'm assuming this Bootdoctors shop will not last much longer. Refusing revenue doesn't mix well with rising rent in Mountain Village.

Thinking about where to go in Telluride for skis and boots? Thinking that Telluride Sports is the place for you? Don't do it!!! Bootdoctors is the place to go. I learned this a day too late. I so badly wanted to buy a pair of skis that Telluride Sports refused to sell me. I should have just "lost them on the mountain" and paid the fee but Jim and Ryan came to the rescue. I was able to buy the skis I wanted at a steal and enjoy nice people while doing it. Seriously, Bootdoctors is the answer.

Boot doctors has been a terrible experience! I kid you not, the worst!!! Rent from someone else. On the phone the rental shop was very nice and assisted us with renting online, the lady told us that they had been having some troubles with the online system and to just make a reservation for one day then when we came in to tell the sales person that we want to rent for Tuesday and Thursday and they would take care of it. But when we showed up, they were extremely rude. The sales person we were working with was Amanda, she would not do what the employee told us on the phone they would do, in fact she said well you probably talked to someone who didn't know what they were talking about, plus it's prong break. After explaining the situation to her she said, "Sorry, I'm not going to do it, who ever you talked to didn't know what they were talking about." I said you are being very rude then she persisted to call us SASSY and flipped off my family as we walked out with our skis. I think she forgot that this town runs on tourism, without tourism her job would not exist. Thanks for the terrible experience to kick off our family vacation. So now I have to make another reservation online, to then wait in line for another 45 minutes, to rent and be fitted for the same exact skis. A complete waste of time for everyone.

Started out with needing some new screws for my Flow bindings and these guys hooked me up even though Flows aren't really their thing. Noticing how knowledgeable they were with fitting boots, I asked about some heel lift I've been dealing with, and Americo helped me out a ton with adding some molded foam to my liners and once again got me riding. So much more helpful than other shops that don't really know their way around boots and fitment.

Awesome service. I had a family emergency, so I had to return the bike after a couple hours. When I mentioned why I was coming in early they gave me a full refund. I'll definitely be renting from Bootdoctors next time I am in Telluride.

I liked my initial experience but coming back two years later with an issue I am treated like a disease. Never again. I had to edit my post...I went back the next morning and the staff at boot doctors made things right. I was very satisfied. I almost felt as if they knew I posted something negative on Yelp. I love my boots again and I'm glad I went back in the morning to be on their wait list. Got there first thing and I was provided help right away:

About 3 years ago I purchased skis, poles and boots from Bootdoctors based on their reputation and recommendations from friends. In the first ski lesson, the instructor told me the poles were far too long and to replace them. In the second lesson a different instructor advised me the skis I had were for powder, versus the groomed slopes I was skiing. Bootdoctors declined to take skis or poles back or any exchange/trade type arrangement. So I purchasednew skis and poles from another vendor. Today, after several visits to address a too tightt right boot, I was advised I needed a high volume boot, versus the mid-volume they sold me. So my experience is 0 out of 3 -- very disappointed. Thank you for the response, Briana. I believe you to be sincere and well intentioned. However, after half a dozen visits and countless hours sitting on the fitting bench, I have lost all confidence in this location. For example, the proposed solution the last time was for me to purchase new boot liners at a cost of $150 or $450; after further questioning the assistant acknowledged this would likely not solve the tightness and I really needed a new higher volume boot -- which he was willing to sell me. I've moved on.

Best in the village, best in town snd LOCAL! Super kind people that you know have fun and appreciate the surroundings. Ive bought bikes (great mechanics), ski boots (best fitters in CO) and other equipment and each time if feels like the right price and right fit. Ski rental here is a breeze and non-pretentious. Everybody that works here is plain fun to chat with and welcoming with town advice. Thanks!! Always part of my visit to the mountains!

Their boot knowledge is nothing short of amazing! In particular, Americo was super helpful, gave me a great education on snowboard boots and boards, and was a straight shooter, helping me figure out what I needed in a boot instead of just selling me what they had in stock. They were pretty sold out on boots at end of season and didn't have what I needed but they will be my go-to store next year and the year after that and the year after that. Their authenticity and knowledge really set them apart!! The Burton store across the way said they'd measure my foot but didn't do custom fittings and moulding. Go see these guys! Be patient--it's a busy place but so worth it!

Mike fitted us for boots and skis and he was so knowledgable and friendly. He took the time to make sure we got what we needed and easily and happily answered our many questions. It's crystal clear that these folks know what they're doing! Very professional, informative, and an excellent selection of gear for major outdoor mountain recreational activities. A local shop like this is an incredible asset to the community and we are thankful to be able to get quality ski gear and repair/fine tuning right at the base of the mountain.

Awesome staff, Holly fit me with the perfect ski boots. I never knew a boot could fit so good. Ryan made a custom footbed for my daughter and now there is no complaining about her feet hurting. He addressed her foot issue, custom made a liner and added a heal wedge to her boot. He wouldn't let us leave until everything was perfect!!! Thank you!!!!!

I have a very high instep and was super reluctant to get new ski boots, but after 20 years my old reliables bit the dust. I was almost in tears when I walked into The Boot Doctor, but "Dr." Jim really took his time measuring my foot, and having me stand, walk, and sit before bringing out some boots to try on. He advised me to pretend I was blindfolded and not pay any attention to brand names or colors, just how they felt on my feet. After making my selection, he spent another 30 minutes molding my inserts, etc. He advised me to ski in them, and then come back and either "high-five"him that they were perfect or ask him to tweak them some more. I came back the next day and asked him to create a little more room in the right boot. I'm very happy with all the care and attention I received.

This review is not for the awesome people that fitted us for our boots and skis, as they were professional, helpful and cared that we had the right equipment. This review is for the lady working behind the counter who rolled her eyes and scoffed at my family and I as we walked in to the store. She asked us to put on our masks... which we were happy - actually more than happy to do. She caught me off guard as my mask was over my chin and I was drinking water to hydrate for our first day of skiing on our first trip to Telluride. So, this is one of the first interactions we received in this town. I looked at her to see if she was talking to me and I said, oh, I'm sorry, I was drinking my water. This lady literally rolled her eyes and scoffed at me. I looked at her again to see if she actually did what I thought she did and I said, something about drinking my water and she did it AGAIN. I was even putting on my mask at that point. I waited all day to make this post, as I know it can seem dumb to complain about people who are actually working. But this is not how you treat customers. If We had argued with her, that would be one thing. But we did not. We were simply walking into a store to make a large purchase! I get enough of rolling eyes and scoffing from my teenagers, I don't need it from a grown woman.

I would argue the best place to get boots in the United States. They take time to make sure you are comfortable and correctly fitted. They continue to make adjustment until you are 100% satisfied. even if you didn't get your boots there, they will fix them for almost nothing.

Great bootfitters I had been to one in my home town and they didn't know jack compared to these guys. They spent maybe a half hour with me figuring out my issues with my ski boots and made some simple adjustments and while they are still not fitting perfectly they are better than before and cost me all of $21.00. Well worth the cost.

I cannot say enough good about Bootdoctors. I don't want to write a long review but their customer service is outstanding. It's obvious how much they care about their customers. The master boot fitters are patient and do everything necessary to make sure you have a good experience and good fitting. My situation was complicated and we spent a lot of time making micro adjustments until I was happy. And boy am I happy. I could sleep in my boots. I had a brand new pair of boots when I got to Telluride. They were so ill-fitted that I ended up buying new ones at BootDoctors because I knew they were experts in their field. I will not let anyone at any other shop work on my boots if at all possible. Working with the ski rental people was always a pleasure. I have my own skis but had questions and they answered all of them even though they weren't making a dime off me. I ended up renting powder skis and they made sure I was happy in them. Thank you to Mike, Matt, Jim(bo), and especially Sam for your patience and for making sure I was a happy client. There are other great folks that helped me but the above mentioned went over and beyond.

SO& I came in for a boot fitting. SO needed an insole& Bob P helped us out. He was knowledgeable and friendly. We had the custom insole done and overnight stretching (about $300 total). After wearing them for a day, SO decided he needed a few more adjustments so we came in and saw Jim. If Bob had been working today I feel certain this would have been a 5 star review. Jim said that the whole reason my SO's boots weren't fitting was because he wasn't putting them on right. Bob had gone through tightening boots with us as step one and found that we were doing it correctly so I asked why the difference? Jim's response to that- "well I'll argue that with Bob because this is the right way." My SO's leg was turning red and was obviously strangulated (I'm a nurse) Jim's response to that? Well if it starts to throb then you can micro adjust them. I butted out at this point, I mean it was just so obviously wrong and I didn't want to argue but Jim did want to argue. I am genuinely worried that Jim is causing damage to people's circulatory system by giving this advice. Concerning, condescending, uncomfortable visit if you are wanting to enjoy your day don't start it at Boot Doctors.

Boot Doctors really impressed me today when a yahoo wearing his mask as a chin strap came into the store. The kind woman working immediately asked him to please wear it properly. Needless to say, the guy quickly left. We've been visiting this location for several years and today's interaction made us happy that Boot Doctors is our local go-to for both winter and summer gear.

We outfitted 3 of our family members w/custom boots, skis, poles, helmets, etc and planned to outfit our other 2 as well. 2 of us have been having constant issues w/our "custom" boots and have been in pain every time we ski to the point that we can only do 2-3 runs before having to take them off. We were told to come back w/any issues and that it would only take 30 min or so to take care of. Every time we've tried, we've been told there is no availability for 5-7 days. Went back again today because I had to take my boots off after 1 run. Was told they couldn't get me in until Mon (the day we leave). I asked if they could make an exception since we've been trying to get this handled for days and the manager came over and was inexcusably rude to the point that I had tears when leaving. I was shocked at the complete lack of empathy or kindness. Super disappointed in the whole experience and will be looking elsewhere to purchase any future gear.

My husband and I went to Telluride for our anniversary weekend. My husband mountain bikes and wanted me to try it so we came here to rent a bike. Americo was FANTASTIC! He talked to us about what we wanted out of the experience and where my skills were and fitted me with a great bike. He recommended trails for us to try and we had a wonderful time. Definitely go see Americo at Bootdoctors if you need anything at all! He's the best!

They have a full range of ski and snowboard gear, as well as rentals. The guys in the snowboard shop were a great help - patiently explaining the difference between all the gear options, making specific recommendations based on my style of riding, custom fitting boots, etc. They have a demo program, where you can try out several boards in one day (all in the same price)- and they'll apply 3 days worth of demo fees to purchase. That's not unusual - but the amount of time they spent with me to make sure everything was set up just right was a welcome change from other attitude-laden shops I've been in. Prices were of course a bit high on the sticker ... but once I configured a package, and threw in the sunk cost of 2 days of demo, their discount brought the package price to within range of the best prices I found online.

We rented from Ski Butlers had a horrible experience; they ultimately referred us to Bootdoctors so I assume you deserve the better rating!

Not a better shop in Telluride. Hands down. No trip to the Box Canyon would be complete without a stop into Bootdoctors!

More than just boots! My 3 year old ski helmet was giving my hearing aid bad feedback on this ski trip. Two other shops tried to sell me a $200 new helmet saying they could not get the ear flaps off. Pam at this Bootdoctors determined that the ear flaps were in fact removable and got them off. She sold me a skull cap that keeps my ears warm and a great indoor fleece. The feedback problem is gone and I am so happy with my trusty helmet. Thank you Bootdoctors!

Spending a week in Telluride for the bluegrass festival we were looking for some extra activities to do. My son and I went fly fishing with Adam the guide provided by BootDoctors. The staff in the shop were friendly and efficient getting us ready to go. Adam drove us out to a few locations on the San Miguel river and took the time to freshen up our casting skills and teach us some fly fishing technique. Us novices found Adam to be extremely helpful and patient. It was an added bonus that my son and I both caught some sturdy wild Rainbow Trout. Adam was a guide second to none and will be called every time I return to the paradise of Telluride. We also hired BootDoctors (aka Further Adventures) for a half day mountain biking trip. After a little confusion at the beginning with getting the trip started our family of four thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Our driver Ben and guide Mark were super friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. Mark explained the history of the area to us and pointed out the many interesting landmarks. He even did a quick bike repair on the trail to make the bike more comfortable for my 9 year old daughter. Can not recommend these people strongly enough.

When in Telluride do as the Telluridians?? Whatever, these guys knew how to set me up for my snowboarding excursion. Gear was high quality and staff was super helpful. Yelp hooked me up with a a check-in discount which was clutch! Would definitely go back and rent...as soon as my should heals from tearing a tendon!

Suzee is the best. She has saved me and solved my gear problems - summer and winter - for the last couple seasons. The kids ski rental program is great, the people are all knowledgable but Suzee is the core. She listens and knows exactly what will solve your sock, ski pant, boot, sunglass/google - whatever piece of gear - problem.

These people know their stuff. I dealt with Mike M. who did all sorts of measurements on my feet and put me in a pair of Rossignols that I'm ultimately decided on. Very friendly, low pressure, and they seem to really know their stuff when it comes to ski boot fitting. Highly recommend.

Boot Doctors stands behinds its products, and when an item I purchased didn't work properly with my ski boots, they took the customer centric approach to address it. I've bought many ski boots for my family at Boot Doctors over the years, and they strive to ensure that customers are well cared for.

This place is so professional and helpful. You can tell the employees know what they are doing and love their jobs. They are great, so knowledgeable and customer service oriented, especially Liam, he helped us and was so nice! I am amazed with the amount of knowledge each person on this store had. My husband and I both ended up buying skis and boots here. I really liked how they were willing to be patient with both of us and understood our needs from an equipment and skiing ability stand point. Their prices and the usual ski prices but I felt very conformable buying from these guys. The demo program is great and super convenient.

The difference in my boots after one session with the technicians was amazing. No more sore/hot spots on my feet and lower legs. After measuring my feet, seeing how I stand, and asking questions, customized the foot bed. When I took a ski run, edging was pain free. I will diffinity use this store for all my ski needs.

As a local ski patrol the boot doctors has ALWAYS been there for our staff. The best shop in town. The employees really care and you can tell they are treated right by management. Go see them, you will be in the best shop in Telluride

Went to 4 other shops in the Mountain Village Plaza looking for a replacement Look binding brake until I found Boot Doctors. The service dept. found the exact part I needed and installed it at a very reasonable price. The employees are very friendly, knowledgeable and eager to get you back on the mountain. The shop is also well stocked with tons of ski's, boards and all sorts of gear you might need for your visit to Telluride.

I had a boot fitting from Jim today. He was on point. Perfect fitting. My boots are unreal comfortable. I can not believe that I have never been fit for ski boots. Never again. I can not recommend this service more. Awesome. Ask for Jim

I came in with boots I'd bought at home in CA and had a fitter there work on. Still I couldn't ski a half day without my toes going numb, and I had a week of skiing ahead of me. Even though I said I'd buy new boots if that was what was needed, Xander was confident he could fix the problem. He spent nearly 2 hours fitting inserts, shaving footbeds and stretching the boots. It cost far less than I expected, was a fraction of the cost of new boots, and my feet have never been happier. Thank you to a great group of professionals who are not only expert fitters, but also top notch in customer service!!

A real letter I wrote to Bob Gleason, President of Bootdoctors and Paragon Outdoors: Dear Mr. Gleason, My name is Dray Sterling and I just returned home from a short ski vacation with my son, Jake (12), in Telluride. We were on a father-son vacation to spend some time together - just the two of us (mom and sister stayed home) - and were having a great time overall. However, Jake was having quite a problem with the ski boots we had rented from another business in Mountain Village - so much so that it limited the amount of time we could ski each day because his feet hurt so much. Of course, having great, quality time skiing together was the whole point of the vacation. After asking a few Telluride veteran skiers where to go for the best rental equipment and consultation in Mountain Village it was clear from the unanimous answers that BootDoctors would receive a desperate visit from us that day! We walked over to your Mountain Village location immediately. Upon entering the retail side of the store we explained our situation to the nice, young lady who greeted us. She took us strait back to the rental area, asked us to complete Jake's skier profile on the computer and told us she would have us work with Bryce. Bryce smiled, waved from behind the counter and started chatting with Jake while I finished-up his skier profile. By the time I joined them over at the rental fitting area Bryce and Jake were well into their conversation about Jake's boot/foot issues from the "other place", his skiing experience, skill level, goals to develop as a skier, as well his overall athletic experience, types of sports he enjoys away from the slopes (tennis), and other qualitative questions about Jake and what kind of guy he is . . . as a person. After learning about Jake, the athlete and person, Bryce moved on to the quantitative stuff - foot measurements, height, weight, etc. - before picking a boot for Jake to try. I was not surprised at all that Bryce's first choice of a boot for Jake fit perfectly. However, I was pleasantly surprised that Bryce spent the time to explain to us why the boot he chose for Jake should be a great fit for his feet as he was placing one of them on Jake's foot for the first time. In 15 minutes, Bryce taught us more about ski boots and proper fit than I had learned during my 30 years of skiing. "This boot is 10 times more comfortable that the boot from the 'other place'", was Jakes comment when we asked how it felt. I will summarize the ski an pole-fitting process by telling you it was just as thorough as that of the boots - excellent! Jake's comfort and experience in Bryce's recommended equipment on the slopes the following day was the polar opposite of that in the "other place's" equipment. We had the best day of our whole vacation - controlled, comfortable skiing; great, quality time together; happiness; and memories that will last forever. In other words, Bryce did not just fit Jake in the right equipment - he taught us and expanded our knowledge about ski equipment. But more importantly, Bryce basically saved the last day of our vacation, he made a father and son have a great time together. He affected life! We are so grateful to Bryce for being "Bryceless" and to you for the culture you have created at BootDoctors® & Paragon Outdoors. My family will rent from BootDoctors again next ski season (multiple times if we get to ski as much as we wish) and I plan to stop contemplating the purchase of my own equipment and finally buy custom fit boots and some Wagner Custom Skis with killer graphics! The only question remaining is whether I will purchase from your Telluride or Taos locations. Hmm, such a dilemma!

Just extraordinary knowledge, service, attention and from some of the friendliest people out there. Bob is a true world-class expert. But everyone there cares and knows a lot and will work really hard to send you out happy and they won't up-sell you except for the sake of your skiing and comfort. Seriously, they have no real competition in Telluride and nobody in my experience elsewhere in CO, Utah, or NY either. Just exceptional service; great demo selection; worth walking the extra 50 or so feet from Telluride Sports/the Gondola. So worth it. They'll save your feet. And take your skiing up a notch. Go!

Rented a bike from them. Great experience. They were helpful with all our questions and really accommodating. I strongly recommend them for anything you need for biking around Telluride!
