Bootlegger Harrington Street

Lovely place, to be honest I’m not a huge fan of bootlegger. However this one has something special - food was excellent, came fast, fresh, not oily, hot, tasty. My coffee was done exactly the way I like it (I am very specific + the barista Lisa listened to my request to the tee). Unathi our waiter was on the ball + has brilliant communication skills. I felt the African essence because majority of the workers are Xhosa. Really grateful + will definitely be back ‏إن شاء الله

I recently had lunch at Bootlegger Coffee Company in Harrington street and it was a pleasant experience. I had the tomato soup, which was one of three soups of the day. This tomato soup, paired with a pesto and mozzarella toasted sandwich, is my favorite from Bootlegger’s menu, and I having enjoyed it at other locations before. The staff was very accommodating, preparing a cheese-only toasted sandwich for my friend. My partner had the club sandwich, which he also enjoyed. They also have a display with ready-to-go sandwiches and pastries. A good amount of seating is available. Lovely area to sit and enjoy a coffee while looking out on the street. You do have to use a bathroom outside the restaurant. It seems like a communal bathroom for all the shops in the building that this Bootlegger branch is located in. The bathroom was not very clean. The service was good, and the location is convenient, right near a plant store, a bike store, and an array of other cafe’s, bars, and shops. The place was decently clean, the staff were friendly, and the service was good. Overall, a nice spot for a relaxed meal or quick coffee break. Bootlegger’s prices are also fairly good in comparison to many other cafe’s and restaurants in the area.

I usually order a Refreshi bag once a week from Bootlegger and the food never disappoints. A great way to try new things they have on their menu. The staff are always friendly and helpful. See you next week ☺️

Kind, helpful and attentive group of individuals. I am also impressed to see, mostly, an all female team. Being a coffee snob, I am incredibly particular about my morning fix! They get it right all the time and I’m never disappointed! Thank you for a great start to my morning 🌅

I’ve been to this place twice during lunch hours, and both times the service was extremely disappointing. The waiters/staff completely ignored me, I wasn’t approached to place my order, even after waiting for over an hour. I eventually had to go to the cashier myself just to get my food. By then, the experience had already soured my appetite. The poor service overshadowed the meal, and I left feeling frustrated. I won’t be returning.

The service was horrible! we got there and sat down, the lady who was our waiter was rushing everything. I ordered an Iced vanilla latte and I was charged extra for the vanilla which was confusing since the menu stated how much it was. When she brought the vanilla latte she placed it harshly on the table that it spilled a little. when I was about to order for the second time she literally walked away while I was talking.I don’t know if your muffins always look like this…

Service was slow and inattentive although it wasn't that busy. Coffee was lukewarm, and some menu options were not in stock. Despite the restaurant being fairly clean there were flies everywhere. It was just an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience.

Awesome service and recommendations. Excellent attention to detail and hands on service from management which is very rare in many establishments. Out of this world croissants!
