These are the neighbourhoods to visit on Jakarta's new Mass Rapid Transit - SilverKris

"A modest two-storey eatery in Bendungan Hilir famed for Minang (Padang) cuisine and beloved by locals for preserving traditional dishes since the 1980s; specialties include ketupat sayur (rice cakes with jackfruit and fern-tip curry), rendang ayam (chicken curry) and gulai ikan tauco (yellow curry with vegetables and fermented soybean paste)." - Kate Walton

Went here around 9 am and already full of people. The first floor was very lively, second and third were more calm. Each floor had a food counter, first and second were main course and other savory dishes, third was dessert and traditional snacks. I sat at the third floor, chose food at the second. Got rice with beef rendang, asam padeh fish, corn fritter, potato fritter, Padang-style omelette. Added with gulai sauce and green chili sauce. The beef was easy to cut but little bit hard to chew, the sauce was good, strong flavor. Asam padeh supposed to be spicy and sour, but it wasn't, tasted okay tho. Corn fritter was cold and hard, potato fritter was better. The omelette had a common taste. Tried their bubur kampiun too, it was delicious. There was sweet and savory taste which made it balanced. After finished, went to the cashier, told them what we ate and paid. The lady was very friendly. Next, wanna try their fried rice and satay. Will come agin, gracias ~

Bopet Mini is easily one of the best Nasi Padang restaurants in the Benhil area. The variety of dishes and desserts is impressive, and the prices are much more affordable compared to many other Nasi Padang spots nearby. It’s no surprise the place is always packed, especially at lunchtime. The restaurant has three floors, but each level only fits a handful of tables. Securing a seat can feel like a competition, so be prepared to wait or move quickly when a table frees up. The setup is buffet-style: you queue up, pick your rice, and choose your protein and sides. On my visit, I tried the gajeboh and it was heavenly. Tender, flavorful, with the fat melting perfectly in your mouth. The ayam pop was also excellent, though I still rank RM Surya’s version slightly higher. The kikil was soft, easy to bite, odor-free, and packed with flavor. Overall, Bopet Mini delivers one of the most satisfying Nasi Padang experiences in Benhil. The only real drawback is the limited seating, which feels far too small for the number of visitors they get. Still, for food quality alone, this place stands out above the rest.

We came here just for a dessert. We ordered bubur kampiun, serabi, kue lupis, and kolak pisang. The sweet potato ball inside bubur kampiun was nice and chewy the santan felt a bit watery or perhaps it's just the way they serve. Kue serabi is not nice it was dry and hard. I tried to soaked it into the syrup, but the serabi itself can't absorb it. Kue lupis is nice the texture soft yet still firm enough and still got a bite. The service is good. Staff were friendly and polite.

Good padang restaurant but not that good tbh, had the nasi padang taken away to eat at home. Nasi padang with rendang, ayam gulai, then bubur kampiun, and some snacks costed IDR120K. A bit steep but maybe because they’re legendary and famous.

This padang restaurant has variety of authentic food and taste really good! The waitress are good and fast to get our orders. Unfortunately it's located in a small building, 3 storey but pretty small for this popular restaurant. We went here around lunch time and we're pretty lucky to get some table on the 3rd floor. They serve the food in both 1st and 2nd floor, but there's no chance you have enough patience to que on the 1st floor. So we had our food on the 2nd floor, they're all the same actually, except that on the 1st floor they have more local snacks and desserts. I really enjoy the food, it feels authentic and not that spicy for me. Totally recommended, and will be back here, maybe not in lunch time.

Highly recommend bubur kampiun. This is traditional dessert with many condiments, in a coconut milk soup. The sate padang was good. The rendang is aromatic, tender beef, with a bean in the rendang sauce. The veggies using bamboo shoots, while some other most common nasi padang will use jack fruit. Personally i don’t like the bamboo shoots. The dendeng aslo great taste, especially when you mix it with their green chili. Service was good, however, during weekend, lunch time it was super crowded and difficult to get a seat. Price was very reasonable. Access was limited, only motor bike / bicycle can enter the aisle way. No car can enter the road. Parking will be very challenging. Road side, with fees minimum 5k IDR. If you have movement limitation, it will be difficult to access. Wheelchair might not be able to access without accompanying from other.

Super delicious dishes at affordable prices. 1 piece of yummy beef rendang is Rp24000. I love the traditional dessert too. By 2pm most dishes are gone. The restaurant has 2 levels. Always crowded. You have to walk in a market kinda of lane. Only bikes can go in. Abit difficult for the elderlies or when it rains. And they don't have gofood delivery
