We had a wonderful stay at the Bora, over a weekend trip hailing from Zurich.
The location was as nice as we imagined, quiet, foggy mornings that open up with sunshine in mid January, a lot of swans and other sea birds at the lake-access surrounding the hotel.
We came for the relaxing environment and to spend a lot of time in the hotels' sauna area, where they have a wonderful variety of saunas (do check the schedule in advance), a steam room, ice baths, infrared-therapy, massages and their very own onsen (45+ degrees Celsius) that were amazing
We barely left the hotel because we mostly wanted to sleep and enjoy the amenities, but the city of Radolfzell does actually provide you with tourism tickets for public transport for the entirety of your stay; something small but unexpected and even though we didn't use it, it was like a cherry on top.
We used the hotels in-house parking and stayed for dinner on the premises; the food was refreshing and creative - the chicken breast cooked on point with the skin still very crispy; and from what I could tell, they had a grand selection of spirits and wine that you could ask for pairing on your meals.
Breakfast was included and the buffet offers all kinds, also all kinds of milk-alternatives, which was great for me.
We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back for another relaxed weekend
