Such a lovely speciality coffee place with a cute garden 😊 Owner is super knowledgeable and friendly. We got cappuccinos (they have plant milk) and tried the coffee cherry tea which was very nice (we had never heard of it before!). Definitely worth a visit if you like coffee!

Fabulous hosts and coffee experts. You can really learn so much from them during tasting sessions on specialty coffee, and understand concept in full, production process from growing to preparing. Excellent testing sessions not only coffee but also other coffee related products. Home atmosphere and well spent time with them. Coffee lovers must visit location one of a kind in Istria.

We made a quick stop for coffee before heading home and were pleasantly surprised. The owner was incredibly kind and brewed us two different pour-over coffees to go. The taste was fantastic! It's the only specialty coffee shop and roastery in the area, and I appreciate their dedication to spreading the love for specialty coffee. The cafe itself is located at the owner's home and has a beautiful garden where you can enjoy your drink. Can’t wait to pay them a visit next year again. It's definitely a 11/10 recommendation 💖

Absolutely amazing place! All ordered drinks were amazing, coffee tasting was very interesting and informative; we bought the beans as well and coffee we make at home now with those beans is also great. Other highlights are the beautiful garden and the owners! Super friendly and welcoming :)

The place is amazing, serene and calm. Coffee was great, and Erica the owner as well as her husband were so kind, clearly they love what they do. We haven't tried the food, but we bought some beans to try at home. Much recommended!

If you are into Specialty Coffee and are in Istria, this is the place to go to. We did the ‘Degustation 2’ course, which was a 2 hour introduction to the world of Specialty Coffee. Mateo and Erika welcomed us with open arms into their house and, apart from sharing their broad exepertise, we could taste different amazing coffees. It was a real pleasure to see these 2 passionate people talk about Specialty Coffee. We can’t wait to try their freshly roasted coffee at our own home!

Sometimes you stumble across a place and you are so pleasantly surprised by finding kindred spirits. During our holiday travels in Istria, we came across Bora Nera, when googling coffee in the town of Vodnjan. A picture of the coffee tasting/flavor wheel attracted us specialty coffee lovers. Everything else from our arrival onwards, was nothing less than spectacular. Erika greeted us on her back garden patio. The setting is a garden paradise. The work Erika and Matteo are doing is so important and bring something really special to the area. The selection of coffee and the varietals they offer are impressive. We had wonderful conversations about the ethical sourcing of coffee beans, the world of coffee and its quality and their passion for education in the field of coffee. Our whole experience ended up being one of our favorite moments of our vacation. Sometimes you just meet people with such a passion and artistry for what they do, you feel you catch their excitement. We went away feeling like we had such an authentic connection with like minded people in the world. We will definitely stop in again if we are ever in the area. We highly recommend you stop in and visit this gem of a business!
