5 Best Day Trips from Mexico City | Condé Nast Traveler

"This is a beautiful garden set behind the walls of an art gallery/museum. Parts of it are beautifully manicured while others feel more untamed. Take in the art exhibitions before exploring the gardens and letting yourself get distracted by all the beautiful surroundings. It's nice for kids but there isn't a lot of space for them to run around." - Susannah Rigg

This is a great garden with some incredible history for the region. There are lots of trees, fountains, and a lovely interpretive exhibit inside the former house.

A wonderful garden in the heart of Cuernavaca. Shady pathways, stone bridges, large ponds, and fountains create a peaceful atmosphere. Entrance is 30 pesos, cash only—no cards accepted. A perfect spot to escape the heat of Cuernavaca. Highly recommended!

It’s amazing to see how big were the garden at that time, with several fountains. I saw several mango trees which brought good memories of my childhood. I enjoyed it.

It's a nice shady place to relax and sit. But it's not really wow you have to come here! It should be free to enter. There's not a lot to do here. It's not taken care of which is sad :( Not really worth the visit especially if they charge to enter. You must show ID that you're from Morelos if you want to enter free.

Nice garden to walk around. It has a very ‘natural’ feel in that it is not maintained to the level a modern garden venue would be but this gives the feeling of seeing something with a lot of history. Peaceful place to walk around.

Jardin Borda is a lovely garden to take your special someone for a stroll. It’s an 18th estate that now serves as an event venue and as an art exhibit hall. It’s particularly stunning during Day of the Dead, when everything is decorated with cempasúchil, papel picado and calacas.

Poor historical garden it is now an abandoned forest. The fountains are empty or with green water creating mosquitoes. The garden is wild and frankly a fire hazard. The pain is peeling off the walls on all the facilities. Parking is easy and cheap two entrances up just on the corner. No food is available. Their gift shop has nothing related to the Zapata art exhibit showcasing inside the building.
