The hostel was located in a very sketchy neighbourhood. With Lots of homeless people in the streets. Breakfast was very simple and not good. It was very hot in the rooms, and out room didn’t have a toilet or shower. I also think it is very strange that you can’t enter your room between 11:00 and 16:00.

1 black man named Antonio stole my bowl. I reported, but nobody cared. Instead, they all defend Antonio. Another Black man verbally insulted me and locked me out of the kitchen. Another black man tried to use chair to hit me and grabbed my bag to throw over balcony. The female reception tried to grab my phone to stop me from calling the police but instead she robbed me of my phone charger and manually destroyed it. The next day the same woman stood by the entrance to not let me go inside. This happened on Saturday.

My friends and I had a great experience staying here during a weekend visit to Bordeaux ! The rooms were modern and clean, the staff super friendly and patient with out basic french, and the breakfast superb ! Beyond that the location was perfectly situated close to the main train station where we arrived and a city bike station nearby which made it so easy to get out and about each morning. Perfect hostel experience, highly recommend when visiting Bordeaux :)

I had a really good time here. It’s super clean and lots of space. Breakfast was plentiful (bread, jam, cheese, cake/cookies, yoghurt, berry compote, juice, apples, water,…). In the evening it felt very homey and the staff was super nice and helpful. I only would say it’s a 15min walk to Place Bourson but still super central. Thank you, I’ll come again!

Rooms - A bunk bed, a desk, a window, two power outlets and a bathroom. Simple and no luxury. Beds were comfy, rooms were clean and clean sheets were provided, shower functional, etc. We were unlucky and the toilet was not working but the ones on the hall were clean. Breakfast options were reduced to basically oatmeal or toast with coffee, tea or orange juice. Good enough. Kitchen is available to use for anyone, but it was disgustingly dirty in some areas. Grease and oil everywhere, some sinks piled with dishes... There is a fridge for guests and a corner where you can leave your unused food for anyone to take. I swear most of it was rotten with whole civilization of microorganisms and bugs living there. There is locker service in case you have a late night bus or flight out. Price wise there's nothing better in the city, and you can go in and out 24h. Leaving aside the kitchen and lack of any luxury, it's the perfect place if you need a decent place to crash for a few days and you're in a budget.

Firstly the staff were super nice but that was as good as it got. Other guests were rude and the place felt rather dilapidated, It could do with knocking down and starting again. We woke up with what I can only assume was a homeless man in the toilet in the hallway but the staff quickly got him out. The breakfast was basic at best and rather minging at worst. The bread was a stale and milk tasted kinda sus. The lady who was working was trying to do her best but if you ask people to make something out of nothing you get nothing.

It was my first time in a Auberge and at Bordeaux and I really liked. The best things: the auberge's location, the personal (kind and helpful) and the rooms because at the one I stayed it has their own bathroom and it was great. Also the atmosphere was cool and safe. The only thing that should be better will be the breakfast, some days the bread was stiff and the personal wasn't kind
