In my opinion, this place serves the best quesadillas in New York. Whether you choose shrimp, beef, or chicken, they are all delicious, and the service is very quick, so you don't have to wait long. The guacamole is also fresh. The restroom is very small but well-maintained, so there are no issues using it. This is one of my favorite restaurants. I highly recommend it! Love this place ❤️

The location is great but the food is not. I had a chicken taco and the tortilla soup. The chicken taco had no seasoning, the beans were bland, I couldn't even eat taco. The soup doesn't have flavor it's clear broth with two slithers of corn on the cob, no meat, a small spoon of guacamole on top, sprinkle of cheese and about six small slices of zucchini. The difference between small and large was just more broth. Another thing you should be wary of is the price on the menu is not the correct price. They raised the prices but didn't fix the menus to match. The tamarindo drink was good. I would not recommend and would not return.

The staff is really nice and this review is a part from the experience. The cost is decent, the space is cool and they advertise using fresh food daily. However, the food was pretty bland. I was disappointed. If it weren’t for the hot sauce, eating my grilled chicken quesadilla wouldn’t have much form of delight. The shredded chicken was sadly worse. But it was workable for a quick bite to rush to the movies around the corner. some salt and pepper shakers, readily available salsas and more seasoning would help a great deal. The portions are decent and friendly staff.

Cute little place. I really liked the soup and it was great for the price ($3.50) though when you get it to go, the tortilla chips are inside the soup instead of like a couple in the bag to put in when you're ready so they get a little soggy but their breakfast looks perfect. I wish I could get there early enough (7am-12)... But they even have vegan burritos (or as they call it "super veggie" with soy cheese, guacamole and tofu sour cream in place of meat/dairy) I returned and got a veggie burrito and it's SO GOOD. Best burrito I've had since I moved over here

Horrible. I got food from this restaurant off door dash and when I tell you I had to wait 40 minutes and the food wasn’t even good. Like I had to put my own seasoning. And the flan was over cooked like it was a really bad consistency. My brother didn’t even want to touch the food. But the horchata was actually really good. Not to sweet but just right. That’s the only thing I really enjoyed. Honestly if i could go back in time and stop myself from eating this. I would. But I had to eat it since I just wasted 40 for the food. I couldn’t even finish it. And the white sauce wasn’t a good taste

I wouldn’t recommend this place. The spicy beef burrito was bland. I was essentially eating a flavorless burrito. No spice or seasoning. How is that even possible with Mexican food? The only redeeming quality was that I didn’t feel bloated or gross after eating the burrito. Also, not sure why the store awning says, “California Burrito”. This store doesn’t serve burritos with fries inside. So, it’s definitely not a California-style burrito.

We were looking for an amazing lunch spot for our day in Williamsburg. Border Burrito was the perfect find. Delicious burritos (recommend the Chicken Mole and the Chilli Beef), delightful staff and a cool spot to sit for a while, relax and people watch. Thank you 🥰🥰

A solid and satisfying stop if you're looking for a tasty value. I got a beef burrito to go but ended up getting it served to stay. It worked out better because the gave me some home made green salsa and it was GOOD. Their menu has some "modernized" options that struck me as odd. But I think it's cool that they offer a variety of options. I personally don't need broccoli on my taco, but not here to yuck your yum (; Cozy interior and music was vibrant.

Fast service and very reasonable prices. No alcohol served, but we went to the spirit store around the corner and grabbed a cold beer w lunch. Great quessadia w rice and beans. Large serving and pleasant service.

Very disappointed to give a local Mexican spot this kind of rating. But this was so bad it was just unacceptable for us. We just ordered 2 chicken tacos because we felt like there was no way anyone can mess that up. Boy, were we in for a surprise. As you can see from the photos, there was an excessive amount of random water/fluid/juices just submerging our tacos. We went to pick them up and instantly noted how soggy the tortilla was. I put the fork for a more clearer idea of just how MUCH. It was like a soup. We wanted to support the local community and a place that seemed authentic. Not sure if it's because they were busy or what but if you order or happen to be outside considering this place just make sure you clarify to them you don't want these kind of tacos.

Which is to say that you may have spent your entire life living in North Dakota and then in a whim, accidentally ended up in California, where someone held a gun to your head and demanded that you make a burrito from scratch. There is basically no flavour going in here. Is "boiled" a flavour?

I had the Baja burrito and it was really juicy and had good flavor! Nothing mind-blowing but for the price of $9 and it being a decently sized burrito makes it a place worth revisiting! The cashier/owner was very friendly and offered sauce on the house! The decor and dim lighting also gives off a very authentic homey vibe!

I got the carnitas burrito to go and it was tasty! Also very fairly priced. The employees were super nice and service was quick. It's a fairly small storefront but there are a few tables inside to sit.

I've heard a lot of good things about this place. I had to come check it out. I first had the chips and guacamole and it tasted freshly made. Then my colleague got grilled chicken nachos which was delicious and I got a steak burrito which was great, it really fills you up. For drinks I tried their horchata which was really delicious and for desert I tried the home made rice pudding topped with cinnamon and it was creamy and very flavorful. Overall it was great customer service and the food was amazing. You should definitely come check it out!!

Delicious burritos! I got the spicy grilled beef burrito, they were very accommodating (I swapped out Mexican rice for brown rice at no extra cost). Big servings. Good energy and great music. It's cool inside and it's nice for friends and family. Come by!

Blind Date with a woman from Ireland. I ordered the: Chilli Beef Burrito with Brown Rice, Green Pepper, Tomatoes, Red Beans, Mushrooms, Jalapenos.., Sour Cream, Colby-Jack Cheese. I give the Burrito a 9 Everything was perfect but the soft green colored Burrito wrap shell. I couldn't figure why the green color. FAST SERVICE! Very professional, and detailed. Food served warm / hot! I would definitely come back to this place!

Came in clutch on the late night tip. The burritos are BIG, definitely shareable for two people with modest appetites. The rice was a little hard and I didn't care much for the fajita chicken. The carnitas was a bit better but nothing special. Fast service but overall just average.

I tried the steak burrito and bad. I ate one half and gave the other to a homeless person. Mostly rice and beans in my burrito and the limited steak they added in there tasted like it's been sitting for awhile. Lady behind the counter was super nice though.

Goddamn. What an experience. I wobbled down Bedford Avenue after getting blood drawn for COVID-19 testing, feeling lightheaded and quite hungry. I'd stopped by my favorite breakfast place for a breakfast taco, only to see the last one be snatched from my grasp by the person in front of me. Despairing, I walked down the street thinking my need for breakfast would not be fulfilled. I was wrong. I realized I would walk right by Border Burrito on the way back to my apartment, and as the signage appeared in my sight, I was filled with anticipation. I stumbled in, ordered a chipotle breakfast burrito, and was told by the very friendly counter worker that it would be five minutes, and he'd call me when it was ready. I sat out front, thoughts of beans and eggs dancing through my head. He emerged, christlike, clutching a paper bag which contained a burrito about the size and weight of a premature baby. I rushed home as fast as I could, and this was when my day truly began. This thing is massive, dense, and well put together. I never felt it was in danger of falling apart, clearly constructed by a burrito expert. It was flavorful, rich, and filling. I'd prepared some salsa and hot sauce, but it wasn't needed. The eggs are cooked well, holding together but not dry or too runny, with perfectly seasoned beans and an amazing sauce. This thing was truly a blessing. I struggled to finish it, and that surprised even me. I can handle most burritos no problem, but this? This was a challenge, which I readily accepted. You could probably split a burrito between two people if you wanted to. In the end, I was fulfilled, satisfied, and happy. This is one of the best damn breakfast burritos I've ever had, and it only cost about 8 bucks! Border Burrito is a savior for the hungry, the broke, and the bleary-eyed reveler leaving a bar on Bedford Ave. Stop by if you have a chance.

The lack of romaine, salsa, avocado, corn or really anything to provide some acidity or freshness is pretty intense considering it was $13 for the carnitas burrito. The pork lacks the crunchiness/smokiness I craved and had that unappealing odor pork gets when overcooked or poorly braised.

This was the closest thing to a mission style burrito I have found east of the sierra nevadas. The owner was also the cashier, he was very nice, and he abided by my #1 rule for burrito joints, they have free chips and salsa! Don't be greedy, only take what you need. In a place where you are lucky to have a restroom, let alone free condiments, this place represents California style burritos. If you are from norcal like me, do yourself a favor and go here. If you are contemplating chipotle, go here instead. Cheaper too. F&÷k chipotle. The food was amazing and the prices were great for the amount of food you receive. They bring the food to your table after ordering at the counter. They have fresh squeeze juices and dessert Oh and free corn chips and green and red sauce I'd recommend this place to people for sure I had the Shrimp quesadilla which is in the photo my colleague had chicken enchiladas Both were great

Got delivery and ordered spicy chicken taco, small tortilla soup, and a side of veggies. The taco was solid and I think if you stick to stuff like this it should be fine. The tortilla soup had some uncooked zucchini floating on top, then half of a corn on the cob cut in two pieces, then some soggy tortilla bits and that was it. It was sad. The side of veggies was just a small container of sautéed green peppers and some onion. Brutal!

we always walked by and wanted to try this restaurant. ordered quesadilla, enchilada, chips and guac, but sadly we didnt like quesadilla and enchilada at all. not enough shrimps/cheese, it was just a few small shrimp and tortilla. no fillings, a few pieces of beef and just wrapped tortilla for enchilada (i am serious). but luckily their chips and guac were surprisingly good. we will definitely order chips and guac again in the future.

Restaurant has gluten free options. Many meal choices. Opened late, nice owner. Has all different soft/carbonated drinks to choose from too, highly recommend.

This place is fantastic! Their menu is very big. I had the chicken breast quesadilla. It was delicious. It comes with rice, beans, and veggies. My husband had a Baja chicken burrito which was very good too. The place has a humble and chill vibe which will probably be a little challenging for your classical Bedford Avenue hipster, but if you are looking for good quality food and excellent service, this is the place to go! The manager is the best. He is very sweet and will give you any recommendations. He knows his food and will treat you like a proper human being. He also has interesting opinions about TV and Mexican history. Let's go Border!

I called to ask if they have huevo rancheros ,they said yes ,so I order. When I arrive today the employee lets me know that the way they make it is with rice , so i assumed the nachos are under , but boom I get rice bean salad and egg . NO cheese No salsa No blacks beans , I give a 1 star for lying and saying it's huevos rancheros

I'm sorry for the low score because the staff was so nice to us. But this was the worst burrito I've ever had! We ordered a Vegetarian breakfast burrito because my bf is a Vegetarian...and it tasted like nothing. Totally bland. I couldn't distinguish the flavors of the different ingredients. And the spinach tortilla was quite soggy. Maybe other items in the menu are good, but based on what I ate, my vote is 2.

I got the veggie chili burrito and one is the chicken burritos and they were outstanding. Amelias is the gold standard for burritos in Williamsburg in my opinion, but Border has very comparable quality and will press the burritos if you ask them, which kicks it up a notch. Overall highly recommend as your everyday burrito spot, can't beat it for the quality and price.

This place delivers so fast I'm convinced they make my order every night and have a delivery driver parked outside my place just in case I place an order. Very good too.

Here I am to save the day! This review was written under another mexican restaurant and I just now realized it..Oops. Now I get to give these guys the credit they deserve! My boyfriend and I can vouch for this place. We've been here plenty of times. Listen.. It is good and for the most part, authentic. (Although I'm still pretty fussy about the lettuce and tomatoes on everything when normally it's cilantro and onions but I get it, it's Williamsburg) Do yourself a favor and stay away from your soups and foofie avocado salads for this one. It'll taste great and BOY WILL IT BE CHEAP. This is one of those hole in the wall, tiny places, you're not in for aesthetics. (Well not that tiny, it does have good seating). Pure flavor and function here-thats it. We got quesedillas (with shredded chicken, nice and juicy), elote prepared the right way (corn on the cob with hot sauce, mayo and cotija cheese.. a powdery, fluffy Mexican cheese) and a flour tortilla burrito with rice and beans inside, chicken, lettuce and tomatoes). There's a huge chips and salsa basket (salsa verde) by the register where you can help yourself and take some to your table. Their rice pudding with some cinnamon and raisins ontop was a nice way to end it. We ate alllll of that for $25! Thank you to the staff that's always so pleasant. The man running this place is incredibly nice. One of the reasons we continue to come here!

We were hungry and stumbled upon this nice restaurant. Staff was friendly, service was excellent, and food was delicious. Everything was fresh! The tortilla soup looked and tasted like it was just prepared. Oh - and free tortilla chips and salsa if you eat in.

The burritos aren't super flavorful, but they are large and are priced very well. I have gotten burritos from here a couple times because they are so quick and cheap, and the service is great!

We are so glad that we have purchased Shrimp Quesadilla, it was really incredible. The team was very welcoming and service is wonderful. I can not say enough good things about Border Burrito.

Very nice counter person! very nice interaction. However the tacos had black beans in them. I didn't know it was supposed to come with beans. I'm keto and I don't do beans. (I wasn't gonna eat the shells anyway). The tomatoes were also soggy and old. Not impressed.

I adore this place. Been many times and the quality and size for the price is hard to beat. Anything with mole is my favorite, as well as the enchiladas and quesadillas. They do take out but I prefer to eat in as everything comes out perfectly fresh and it seems a shame to ruin that texture. The owner is the cashier and the sense of the love in the place really makes it. Also there are free chips when you eat at the restaurant. It's nice to have a place that's good, cheap small business still. Highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious and flavorful...and huge! Somehow finished the humongous regular veg burrito +guac because it was that good. My bf and roommate both loved their chicken burritos as well.

Great customer service! Definitely the vibe I was glooming for. Very casual spot with a couple tables inside with about 8 chairs each. Another table outside with seating for 6 more. But the tacos... The chicken tasted like it was boiled and un-season. It came in large chunks on top of boiled black beans. Cold shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce, and diced tomato was placed on top. The spicy beef taco was set up in similar fashion, as was the fish. The spicy was bland and also came in large chunks. The fish came with tarter sauce which added a little flavor to the watery white fish. Overall, the tacos were very poor. Based on the tacos I would rate it a one star, but the costumer service was great. Vincent, who served us, was a very pleasant man. I hope they make some adjustments to their recipe, because this has potential to be a great spot

Best breakfast burrito in Williamsburg, hands down. They are HUGE, tasty, and around $8. The owner who also works there is incredibly nice, and they offer something for everyone. In a neighborhood where every small business is being replaced by a large chain/corporate-backed entity, please help keep this one going!!!

The burrito I ordered was great. Maybe you don't order nachos delivered. The chips were all soggy and was fair at best while hot but after a few bites as they got colder, it tasted like mush. I ended up tossing it out. If there is no good way for chips in nachos to remain crispy, there should be a warning that it can't be done. Again the burrito was very good.

Solid neighborhood hole in the wall Mexican place. We had the mole chicken burrito and spicy beef burrito, generous portions and the perfect fixes for Mexican. Free chips and 2 types of salsas if you eat in, and the manager is so friendly and hospitable!

I've tried this place like 5 times, mostly because i order later and it's one of the few places still openI'm not sure why I do but it's because I like to try something different to see if it'll taste better than the last item I bought. I had their chicken tacos and chicken quesadilla and it was both bad. The chicken isn't seasoned at all and overall the food is pretty tasteless. The only thing I like is chips and guac but I guess you can't really mess that up.

First time ordering, definitely won't be my last! New go-to!! Fast, good, cheap, friendly delivery. The exact burrito I was looking for. I dare say, 'the burrito of my dreams.' Thank you border burrito!

I love this place. I usually get the chicken quesadilla and the vegetarian chili. The fish tacos are also really good. The ingredients are always fresh and the food is always consistent. They aren't the most "authentic" tasting Mexican food around, but I actually really like their style and crave it frequently. Wanted to leave a review because of how many times I've ordered from this place and how satisfied I've been each time. Thank you!
