A new friend of mine introduced me to this place while we were working together. It is a small, hole in the wall type of outlet that you wouldn't notice unless someone made you aware of it. I found the alliterative name quite amusing as it apparently refers to their location situated between the cities of Vancouver and Burnaby, but alludes to the line dividing Mexico and the USA.
I ordered their flagship burrito, which was filled with the advertised ingredients and wholesomely delicious. I was piqued to learn that cheese could only be added for $2. The $12 base rate already included beans, rice, meat, and vegetables, as well as salsa and cream. Customers had the ability to omit ingredients without a discount. So what is so special about cheese that it costs 2 more dollars?
Further to that, they have a $10 Taco Tuesday promotion which is only available on orders placed online. We visited the shop on a Tuesday, but were ineligible for the coupon because we ordered in-store. Since the customer is entering the order themselves, it should make no difference if they do so on their own device via the website, versus the self-serve kiosk in the lobby. The coupon code is even posted on the wall in the building, which does customers there no good.
