The best hotel I have stayed in. The beds are super comfy. The breakfast buffet is varied and delicious. The lounge is decorated beautifully. Theres a nice hot tub outside for the guests. Definitely worth staying longer.

First things first, do not miss the dinner. You don't get much detail on what will be served and then they start bringing out this incredible buffet spread - beautiful salads, breads, meat, fish, potatoes, etc. And you sit in this dining area with all kinds of antiques and eclectic décor. The rooms are small but very comfortable and clean. We met the owner, who just bought the place and she was lovely and very accessible. Oh, and the breakfast that's included is also delicious. This place is quirky and fun and definitely worth it. Did I mention how good the dinner was?

We enjoyed our stay here. We didn't know at first if we were at the right place, seeing as Selfoss was much further south on the map & that the building was white in the pictures, but when we got here it was black. Staff at check in was helpful (we arrived a bit early and had to wait for our room, but they made sure to have it ready as soon as possible). Take a dip in the hot tub, it's really hot and refreshing! Had a good chat with the staff that served us some drinks, very friendly people here. Shower was a nice size and not super crammed. Missing soap in soap dispenser next to sink. Beds were comfy. Ours had lights above the bed that I kept bumping into and was afraid I'd break upon waking up and stretching. Would be better if they were over the nightstands instead. Curtains didn't help with the light outside at all. We would definitely stay here if we came back in the winter, seems like a good shot at seeing the Northern Lights. Breakfast was alright.

We had a wonderful stay here. Our room was very comfortable, and even a bit trendy with unpolished concrete floors. We had dinner (a buffet of Icelandic specialities) and breakfast in the hotel restaurant and enjoyed them very much. Our hosts were extremely friendly and could not have been more welcoming and friendly. Excellent location in the Golden Circle; close to everything. Would definitely return.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful surrounding. Very good combination with the golden circle. You can use all the board games, the hot tub, walk around in the beautiful area, sit in the garden, pet the dogs:) In the garden there is a little "pray house" for silent time and meditation, welcome and open to all religions|When you enter it feels like coming home in a beautiful house. All vintage stile, antique with a colourful twist.|The team is very warm and welcoming "you can sit at the bonfire with us in the evening if you like". Icelandic people, who are open to tell you about their country and culture.|The food is outstanding! All biological, local, fresh and home made. Prepared with so much taste and dedication.|We where happy that we could stay there for an other night.|We can highly recommend this hotel to all travellers who like a warm connected place.|The photos that are on the website are from the old situation. It is so much more beautiful now.|

Excellent stay with very friendly and helpful staff who were willing to talk about their country and their customs. Plenty of options for breakfast to get the day started. The dinner they served every night was some of the best food I've ever eaten and there was and abundance of variety. The location is beautiful and a great place to be immersed in Iceland's countryside. Would highly recommend staying at this wonderful hotel!

Amazing experience! First, the hotel is lovely, it is charmingly decorated, the rooms are vast, the beds confortable and the whole thing is very clean. Second, the crew is just amazing: very helpful, dynamic and welcoming. Third, the FOOD! The buffet of the restaurant (morning and evening) is filled with homemade delicacies, some typical from Iceland, others more common to fit everyone's taste. Fourth, the hotel is calm and well equipped with a hot tub, a bar, a lobby with tabletop games, and a lovely terrace to enjoy when the sun is shining. I highly recommend this place!

We arrived late on Christmas Day as we couldn’t reach our booked hotel because of the snowstorms. The staff was very kind even though exhausted from running everything on his own (even clearing the snow). They gave us an amazing room. Water was hot and the room had a cattle and anything else we needed. At the festive dinner they kindly offered to create a vegan meal for me which was not on the menu even though it was only one person in the kitchen. The whole space is cozy and traditional and the location is also great! We managed to even see the northern lights. The breakfast is also very good, with everything you need from selections of meat and cheese to jams and yogurt and many vegan bits to choose from. It was also included in the price of the room with was very decent. In general, strongly recommend.
