Everything was great! Appreciate that they aren't letting in as many people and give campers the space we need to enjoy ourselves. It was like we had our own backyard, with plenty of activities for the family to do, like bike riding, fishing, lazy floating on thr lake, water sports, and strolling to the local pub and cafe! Can't wait to return! Only the downturn was that the hot water system wasn't working the whole time during our stay- bad timing, we thought, as the water in the bottles was empty! Suggested a maintenance/affirmation whiteboard to connect campers and management! Photos tell it all!

We recently stayed at Boreen Point Campground and had a great time. Can’t fault it. The site offers clean and well-maintained amenities. It’s also pet-friendly which is perfect for us as we love to bring our fur baby away camping with us. Will definitely be coming back!

A peaceful, well-maintained lakeside escape I had a wonderful stay at Boreen Point Campground. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the location right by the lake was absolutely beautiful. I booked a powered site—there’s no concrete slab, but the ground is flat, well-shaded, and easy to set up on. The sites are a little close to each other, but it didn’t bother me as the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. It’s also pet-friendly, which was a huge plus for me. The natural surroundings, lake views, and overall environment made it a perfect camping experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This is a nice campground which runs along the waterfront of Lake Cootharaba south west from Boreen Point. It has a playground for the kids and multiple public toilets for campers. A pleasant place to camp, holiday and call home for a few days.

Lovely location, friendly staff. Lots of beautiful memories of this spot. Unfortunately the hygiene is less than ideal, facilities pretty grubby and our whole group cought a very infectious gastrointestinal illness, they didn't seem overly concerned when we let them know. The government has got processes in place that can be found with a quick Google search, id love to see the managers be a bit more onto it. Again, no other issues with them lovely place.

We really did enjoy this camping spot. Lovely lake, pretty good camp spots, excellent and clean facilities. However… upon check-in, we asked the check-in staff how to pronounce “Lake Cootharaba” and she had no idea - so not a local. And within 12 hours of checking in we had an email stating “no hanging things from trees and no grey water collecting”. Felt a bit overkill. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Anyway… it was very windy (40 km/h) and we had a little rain, but this aided it to being a cool camping experience. We had a few times when we braved the wind and had fun swimming in the 1m depth water and catching a few fish in the Lake. Even with the wind, we managed to catch a few small bream and whiting - so definitely wet a line whilst there. Can have own fire pits and dogs are able to attend (we loved meeting Doug the Dog) so all in all a great experience. Would love to come back on a less windy weekend. Very good for families and kids - safe and friendly. Thanks!

Love this campground. Even with a day of rain and cold wind, that was followed by a stunning day - out stay was really relaxing. So beautiful.. @aweseeker.com.au
