We stayed at this property for three nights to enjoying some skiing in Limone. It was a last minute booking and with a 3 hour drive we arrived outside their reception time and expected to pay a €30 surcharge as had been advised by e-mail.||||Upon arrival at the hotel at 2230 we were told that a fee of €50 would be charged due to our arrival after 2200. This could only be paid in cash, without invoice. We were also advised that we would be charged for our second child and again this must be paid with cash. This despite our booking being for 2 adults and 2 children.||||We contacted Booking.com and they confirmed that no payment should be made for an extra child and that all surcharges must be invoiced, as is law in Italy to avoid fraud.||||Accommodation at the property was almost as new. Quiet, clean and comfortable with full kitchen facilities provided. The only drawbacks were that only two hotplates could be used without tripping the fuse to the apartment and, as we found on the morning we departed, the dishwasher could not be used at all. Additionally, the two smoke detectors in the apartment still had their dust covers in place rendering them useless.||||On the day of departure we attempted to use the dishwasher again to wash the few items we had used that morning but again, the power to the apartment tripped so we gave up. We collected all rubbish into a single plastic bag and as there was no obvious disposal area, we left this by the door.||||Later on the day of check-out I was contacted by the property to tell me that they would be charging €100 to my credit card for the late check-in and a €50 cleaning fee. I objected to this for the above reasons and a €80 charge was made which I will be contesting.||||This is a great property which is severely let down for administrative reasons. There are no clear written guidelines either in the booking or in the apartment and it would appear that staff are free to request cash payments for undocumented items. ||||We regularly stay in Limone and would love to stay in this property again but after this experience we will have to stay elsewhere.
