"Luxury on a wine estate This wonderful wine estate ticks all the right boxes. Set in a timeless landscape of gently rolling hills and vines, olives and cypresses in the southernmost part of the Chianti wine producing area, Borgo San Felice is a stone hamlet that once housed the estate workers and their families. Today, the buildings have been beautifully converted into a top-class hotel with just about everything you could possibly want for a luxury holiday in the hills. There is an elegant, gourmet restaurant with a Michelin-starred chef, a trattoria serving typical Tuscan food for more casual dining, an enoteca for sampling the (excellent) estate wines, a swimming pool, tennis courts and mountain bikes and extensive gardens for wandering in. You can ease away stress in the newly re-vamped spa with the signature wine and olive oil treatments that will leave your skin silky smooth for days, and work off those excess calories in the small gym. The 50 or so bedrooms and suites are scattered throughout the village and range from large apartments to cosy doubles: all are done out in country chic style with a clean, fresh colour palette and natural fabrics. There is plenty to do on the estate itself, but Siena, Florence and Arezzo are all within easy reach if you feel like some culture."

The setting of Borgo San Felice is magnificent. Nothing beats walking along the vineyards at the property with a glass of wine in your hand and watching the sunset over the hills. The rooms are also beautiful and a lot of attention is paid to the details. The spa was most amazing, one of the best massages I’ve ever received in my life. And our wine tasting class at the property was very fun and the wines were of the best we had in Tuscany. Our dinner at the Osteria restaurant was also fabulous, However, the only drawback of our stay would be our dinner at Poggio Rosso. The menu had just changed to Greek influences two days before our arrival. Unfortunately, we really did not enjoy the dinner and it did not live up to the standard of meals in Italy. That was the only Drawback of our experience, and I would suggest to travelers to just skip that restaurant and go to Osteria on property or go somewhere nearby in town. Otherwise we had a fabulous stay and the hotel also did a good job of helping us arrange local wine tours.

This resort is beautiful with picturesque views and grounds and the suites are spacious and well appointed. We enjoyed our stay here but for the food offering and the quality of staff training. The food in Osteria Il Grigio and the service are a joke. We ate there once because we didn’t know any better , and a second time as we couldn’t believe it could be so poor again. We were wrong. We suggest you avoid this restaurant. The staff are ill-trained and the management are helpless as to how to resolve matters. Poor cuisine, robotic service and management that seem out of their depth. |Breakfast buffet was very good and Ian stood out for his service here when other staff walked past tables that needed clearing and forgot orders for hot drinks. Georgia on reception is also very pleasant and professional. The stand out member of staff is Diego-a fantastic mixologist and engaging member of staff, a credit to the resort. |A very comfortable stay but I would very much recommend eating off-site and using the hotel shuttle to visit the nearby village of Villa a Sesta where there are several very good restaurants.

My wife and I are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. I went online and found this place that sounded pretty good. We were both blown away. Exceeded both of our expectations. If you are planning a trip to Tuscany this is the perfect place. Food is amazing, the views and scenery is magical. The entire resort was an old village. When I booked I thought that the hotel was just part of this village but it’s actually the entire village. We will definitely be back. Super sad to leave.

This resort is perfect! I have never experienced this attention to detail. Great value! Beautiful! There are two restaurants. One is Michelin rated the other is more casual. There is a pool with bar. There is an winery/wine tasting tour you can take

In a world full of daisies dare to be a rose.||Borgo San Felice is a rose.||The first mention dates back to 714, to the bitter disputes between the Bishops of Arezzo and Siena, as they fought over a number of parish churches in Tuscany. San Felice in Avana (or Avane) – this was its original name – was among the settlements subject to contention.||Today you can call it paradise!||As you approach San Felice your eyes will feast on an idyllic Tuscan village, perfectly manicured and quite stunning.||Welcomed by a well-trained, top-notch staff, you will feel at home instantly.||The rooms are spread out throughout the borgo in modern buildings that look medieval - adorned with beautiful flowers and plants throughout the little village complex. The grounds are magnificently maintained.||And the food is fabulous too, particularly the Poggio Rosso. Juan Quintero, originally from Colombia, is the chef at the helm. Despite the chef’s origins, the cuisine is fundamentally creative and regionally influenced, with just a few South American touches here and there. Juan has fallen in love with Tuscany and he interprets the region’s cuisine with real elegance and contemporary flair. All of this in a luxurious yet unstuffy setting, with service which is impeccable and always accompanied by a smile.||If you decide to venture off properly to dine, there are several magnificent choices within 10-15 minutes of paradise.

The facilities from the exterior are gorgeous! Unfortunately the rooms don’t live up to a 5 star rating. Dated furnishings and no fine linens or quality pillows here. After 10 pm a knock on our door to offer turn down service! The lobby and common areas are tired looking and don't command a 5 star rating. We had some excellent service and some mediocre service. Overall a good experience but not a5star experience.

We had an amazing stay at Borgo San Felice! Everything was the best of the best! Sarafeno and his staff at the Osteria Il Grigio were so sweet and accommodating and helped us celebrate my husband's birthday! Georgo at the front desk was so kind and make us feel so welcomed! Everyone was so helpful and made this the best trip to Italy and Tuscany for an amazing birthday/anniversary celebration!

Yelp
We had the most spectacular time during our stay at the borgo. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in the Siena region of Tuscany. Pros - the grounds and accommodations are stunning. Truly beautiful and complements the Tuscan countryside perfectly. - the food was delicious, from the amazing breakfast spread each morning to each of the three restaurants onsite. - the staff are so professional and warm. Everyone was a delight to interact with and incredibly helpful. They made reservations for us, drove us in the shuttle, and did everything they could to assist us when we needed. - the rooms are comfortable and the housekeeping/turn-down services daily were great. Cons - honestly, nothing to complain about. We had the most perfect time and can't wait to return. If I had to nitpick, I would say that it would be nice if the e-bikes were complimentary.

Yelp
A luxurious stay in Tuscany. This was the first hotel we stayed at during our 2 week Italian vacation. Bongo San Felice really set the precedent for my fiancé and I! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were treated with the most amazing service. The hospitality here is unmatched! Alessandro at reception made sure we were comfortable with knowing where everything was as soon as we arrived. He gave us a grand tour of the property and gave us some background information regarding the history of the place. This used to actually be a village back in the day and was converted into a hotel. Everything was absolutely breathtaking and gorgeous. We stayed in a suite which was to die for. Everything was incredibly clean and beautiful. The staff left us a bottle of wine and some crackers to enjoy on our first night. The breakfast service was awesome. It was a buffet style and included a wide range of options. My favorite was the cheese station! The pool was amazing. Everything was super quiet and relaxing. There is a bar right by the pool that serves snacks and great cocktails. We had the pleasure of enjoying a few services over at the spa. Claudia helped us out and booked us some treatments. We each got a body scrub, massage and facial. We had the ability to also utilize the spa's amenities including the sauna prior to our treatments. We were able to relax even more! There is a 24/7 gym that is available for all guests to use during their stay. The facilities were great and included a wide range of options. We enjoyed an excellent dinner at Poggio Rosso restaurant where we ordered a Florentine steak. You can't go wrong with any of the wine there because it comes right from Borgo San Felice! We were able to also do a wine tasting/tour on our last day. We ended up falling in love with the history of the wine and even ordered some bottles to ship home. You will not be disappointed here! I would go back in a heart beat.

Yelp
My partner and I stayed at Borgo San Felice for two nights, and overall, I thought this was a beautiful property with amazing rooms, character, and staff. The "hotel" itself is actually a former village. An actual village with a church and a school and houses that they've turned into the various facilities of the hotel. Thus, that character of the hilltop town is still there. Service was friendly throughout, and kept the Relais & Chateaux standard that I very much enjoy. The concierge was great, and she was able to book us more than a few tastings at well-known wineries around the area. They have existing relationships with a few wineries and so they certainly treat you better when the wineries know that you're coming from this hotel. Plus, the hotel is centrally located in the Chianti region, but the hotel itself has its own winery with very well-known and well-regarded wines. You should definitely do a tasting here as well. We were upgraded to a suite, and were informed that it has their new style of decorating. I'm not sure with the old style looked like, but everything I saw was very tastefully done and very luxury. Overall, I can't recommend this hotel enough. There was one slight hiccup with the pool bar, and it was taken care of and fixed three times more than was necessary, and the staff was very professional.

Yelp
A million stars to Silva, the chef. This quaint exquisite hotel set in Tuscany countryside is amazing and beyond anything we've experienced. From beginning to end starters, 1st course, main course and pre dessert and desserts see all my photos! !

Yelp
From the moment we entered the parking lot we were treated with utmost hospitality. It was pouring rain. The hotel staff brought out 2 large umbrellas and walked us to our room. Another staff member arranged to unload our car and bring the luggage in. Despite the rain, staff member explained our surroundings and features of the room. Our room was lovely! Large bedroom w/doors leading to a patio with a cafe table and 2 lounge chairs. The room had a parlor with two chairs, desk, and table. Borgo San Felice trains its staff well and the staff executes beautifully. Dinner was delicious. The gym was small but perfect...has everything you need. When we asked for a restaurant recommendation for the following night, we were guided to a fantastic Michelin rated, tiny place in a close by functioning Borgo. Fantastic. We attended Mass Sunday afternoon and were so happy to participate in a down to earth celebration. We will be sure to return. The grounds are stunningly beautiful with ivy geraniums pouring out of planters throughout the gounds. The pool area is picturesque. The piazza is from a movie set!
