By far one of our favourite restaurants in this food filled city. Also our favourite Korean bbq restaurant in the world, for reference we’ve been to ones in LA, Seoul, Toronto, Dallas, and of course Houston. Parks in LA used to be our favourite but BORI is actually so much better, so we’re happy we can get our fix in the city. We’ve been here 4 times in the past year or so and the food quality and customer service has always been top notch. The price is reasonable too consider the high quality of meats. I love that they have the spicy raw marinated crab dish (yangnyeom gejang), it’s so hard to find at Korean restaurants in Houston and I’d rather not attempt to make it myself. Our go to meats have been beef tongue, marinated short rib, and pork jowl. It comes with a soup , cheesy corn, steamed egg and a ton of sides and sauces. I’m drooling just from thinking about our last meal. They also have a pretty big dessert menu, I got the hotteok this time and it was definitely enough for several to share!

My friends and I went to catch up at Bori. You’re immediately greeted with its modern elegant decoration and atmosphere. Our server, Caitlyn, was excellent. The other staff were equally as attentive in refilling waters and clearing plates as we enjoyed our meal. Caitlyn was knowledgable of the menu and made great recommendations. The food was delicious and we left feeling comfortably full. Caitlyn cooked the proteins for us at our table: an elevated showcase KBBQ. The lychee martinis are worth noting too! Highly recommend adding to your list of must-do restaurants.

First time at BORI and I think it’s now in my top 4 Korean barbecue places I’ve ever been to. The service was amazing, the atmosphere was great, the menu was very easy to read and had lots of options. My only complaint was that I didn’t know that the set meals came with a salad because it didn’t say on the menu as it only said it came with steamed egg, soup, corn cheese, so that is the only reason why we ordered an additional salad. I’ll be lenient on my review and not mark points off for that reason. All the side dishes were amazing quality. With the meat being the main show; the ribeye melted in the mouth, the short rib had good flavor, and the pork belly was great. I highly recommend this place and I would come back.

Unfortunately, a disappointing birthday experience at one of my favorite restaurants in Houston. I’ve been wanting to try this location since it opened since we’ve been to the Spring Branch location dozens of times. This one falls short… by a lot. I made a reservation on OpenTable stating it was my birthday. It wasn’t acknowledged at any point during dinner and the waitress Angela didn’t ask if we were celebrating anything special that night. We asked to be seated somewhere quieter but they said there was nothing available; the restaurant wasn’t even half full. It took the server a long time to finally come to our table for us to place our order because she said the other table wanted their meat cooked well done which takes a lot longer. There were half a dozen servers floating around with nothing to do (again, not a full restaurant) - they couldn’t help? After we ordered, it took an extremely long time for side dishes to come out. Then the meat came out before our seafood pancake, which I found odd since it’s an appetizer. They said that their kitchen was backed up when I inquired about it. Then we see the table next to us who got there half an hour after we did get the exact seafood pancake we ordered. I asked about this too and the server said it got mixed up because we were sharing a table with this other party so they didn’t know which side to serve it to. Sigh. They were apologetic but gosh, such a disappointing dining experience for my birthday dinner with my mom (her first time trying Bori!). I cannot recommend this location because of these mishaps and hope they will make the necessary changes to get this location on par with their Spring Branch location.

The interior of this Korean restaurant is absolutely beautiful — definitely one of the most stylish and well-designed spaces I’ve seen in a Korean restaurant in the U.S. It creates a really enjoyable atmosphere for dining. While the overall experience was pleasant, the food didn’t quite meet my expectations. The meat quality was good, but since it was grilled by the staff, the taste really depended on how well it was cooked. In my case, the grilling wasn’t done to my preference, and I felt I might have enjoyed it more if I had cooked it myself. Still, I appreciate the service and ambiance, and I think with a bit more attention to the grilling, it could be a great experience.

Finally got to try the new Montrose location. Super convenient since I work Downtown, so making trek here was easier than the Memorial location. They're still sort of in soft opening mode, but the menu was familiar, and the food and service was just as good. Food: Seafood pancake and small BORI beef cuts (beef belly, short rib, and marinated NY strip). Delicious and cooked properly. I like beef belly on the crispy side, and my request was accommodated. Service: Our main server Tim did an excellent job. Very attentive and timed his visits very well in between cooking courses. Location: awesome looking house (I forget what it was previously, but it looks really cool). This location has two stories, so that's a little unique. Self parking was available when we went (515pm Wednesday), but it looks like there's valet when it's busy, similar to Memorial. Overall: Great experience as always. Looking forward to them being open for lunch once everything is 100% up and running.

Absolutely fantastic Korean BBQ experience. The food was outstanding — packed with bold, fresh flavors that kept the whole table excited, especially our older kids who love trying new things. I had visited their other location before, but this one, set in a charming, spacious house, has a completely different and more inviting feel. The best part? The staff is incredibly attentive and helps with the grilling, so you can relax and focus on enjoying every bite. A perfect spot for families looking for something a little special!

Google
Bori has a special place in my heart. Premium meat, not too much seasoning, just pure goodness. I will take this over Steak48 any day. Everything is grilled in front of you, all you do is enjoy it. The side dishes are complimentary and refillable. Everything was so good, no complaint. Definitely worth visiting :)

Yelp
My family of three had dinner here last week. We've been to the original location in Spring Branch many times and wanted to check out this new location. The setting is really nice. They did a great job of remodeling the building into a trendy, upscale space while still capturing some traditional Korean culture vibes. The service was great as well. The food was very consistent with the Spring Branch location. We had the large Bori Beef Cuts combination, and chose Beef Belly, Boneless Short Rib & Marinated Boneless Short Rib. All the meats were of the highest quality and very tasty. I will also say that this was enough food for the three of us. If we can get this quality and quantity of food (the combinations comes with side dishes, steamed egg, stew, etc.), it's also a pretty good value proposition for less than $130. We think Bori is the best Korean BBQ restaurant in Houston. We would welcome the opportunity to go back to either location.

Yelp
amazing food and service. the restaurant is really cute - it's a house that's been converted so the seating layout is cool. the food was really outstanding and worth the price. the meat is cooked for you by staff and they are really helpful with selection. absolutely loved the seafood pancake as well - it was really big.

Yelp
came to bori on a sunday evening and it was pretty quiet. i've been to the other location a few times, so i wanted to try this one. really liked the vibe! we got two appetizers--japchae and bulgogi tteokbokki. both were really good, but the tteokbokki tasted similar to the japchae, so it felt like the same dish with just different noodles. if i come back, i'd probably pick one or the other. we also ordered the abc platter (ny strip, marinated boneless short rib, and pork jowl), and it was all amazing. the sides were on point too. i love how they make everything for you, and the service is great. 10/10 recommend--one of my favorite spots in houston!

Yelp
Bori owns my heart (and my belly) Been a super fan of the original location but this one is closer and finally decided to try it on a weekday evening to celebrate my bestie. It's nestled in a nice subdivision and the restaurant is really pretty inside and outside. There is a small lot behind the building with an extended lot as well as street parking. Its two floors and dining area was a bit smaller and cozier than the original location. We had a wonderful server who was extremely knowledgeable and gave great suggestions. There are some items only available at the Montrose location. We ordered the small beef cuts set (small), japchae, and fried chilli eggplant. Beef cut set - beef belly, ribeye, marinated boneless spare ribs (5/5)- the beef was amazing quality and well cooked - they cook it to your liking, the spare ribs were marinated perfectly and so tender Corn cheese (comes with beef set) 4/5 - corn and cheese - who doesn't love it? Kimchi stew (comes with beef set 4/5 - there is a 2nd option - soy bean paste stew) - spicy but not overpowering and goes perfect with the rice Banchans - tons of Banchans and they were all good - I am obsessed with the pink radish as well as their salads (honestly it was all good) Japchae (5/5) - it's one of my fave things, the noodles are perfectly cooked and the seasoning is not overpowering, and it's light Fried chili eggplant (4/5) - only at Montrose - suggested by server and it was good - crunchy on the outside but tender on the inside, it wasn't spicy to us but it was still flavorful Hotteok ice cream (5/5) - only at Montrose - this was complimentary for bestie's birthday and it was sooooooo good, the server suggested vanilla ice cream and it paired so well - I can't explain it but everyone should try it yum It was a great meal and great company. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Def will be back esp since it's so close

Yelp
Very nice and delicious Korean food but definitely pricey Different than regular Korean bbq where you cook the food, they cook for you Ambiance is pretty nice too Would definitely come back

Yelp
Recommended by my Korean friend so you know place is legit. We got the bori cuts with boneless short rib (fatter than the wagyu beef slices I had at Uchi!), marinated short rib. Spicy naengmyun (it's like a spicy, tangy and sweet dish), seafood pancake and the Korean version of meatballs. All the food was amazing. The waiter will also cook your meat for you.

Yelp
Actually one of the better Korean BBQ places in Houston! We came during soft opening and was surprised to see where it was actually located. Right in the middle of a neighborhood, in what looks to be a huge house, Bori had nice street presence when you roll up. The grounds and the building are aesthetically pleasing. They were still construction the parking when we came but we were amazed by the place cause it was just so unexpected. The outside smelled delicious of KBBQ. The interior felt like a large house with multiple stories, but a very modern renovated home. The servers are there to cook and serve you all the meats! They have a party platter that offers a little taste of everything! I found the meats to be marinated well but sauces and greens to wrap. We really enjoyed all the dishes and side dishes here.. and the meat tasted like it was really high quality. Service was great and they routinely checked in. Overall, such a great addition to this neighborhood!

Yelp
A great Korean BBQ restaurant in Montrose, so glad this placed opened up in my neighborhood! Located in a two-story, large house turned into a restaurant, this place looks modern and trendy. There is valet parking but also street parking in the neighborhood. Reservations are easy to make on OpenTable online. Service is great here! The hosts greet you as soon as you walk in and everyone is friendly and attentive. The waiters give great recommendations for food and portion sizes. Drinks: For alcohol they have beer, wine, and soju. I enjoy their Jinro Chamisul (original soju). But I've also tried their peach soju and it was too sweet for me. Onto the food, here's what I've tried here: - Seafood pancake: This dish is delicious!! If you like seafood, I highly recommend this. - Japchae: It was good but my least enjoyable dish here. - Premium beef cuts (L) with marinated short rib and dry-aged ribeye: This was served with corn cheese (yumm) , steamed egg (I love anything with eggs), and we opted for kimchi stew which was hot and fresh and not too spicy for me. The waiter cooks your meats for you, which I enjoy, and he will cook it to your desired preference. The meats came out juicy and tasty, they were all so delicious. - The meats also come out with side dishes (banchan) and they will refill each side, as needed. I've been here twice now, both times with a group of 4, and we've all been full with one appetizer and the premium beef cuts entree. Overall, this is definitely not your typical, casual Korean BBQ place. It's definitely pricier due to the location, high-end meats, and the fact that they cook the meats for you. Is worth it? To me, yes. If you have the luxury to splurge, I definitely recommend this place. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
First off, the restaurant is stunning! It's located in a renovated home and they've done a great job incorporating Korean architecture into the design. They also have free valet parking. I wasn't sure what to expect going in - if it was going to be AYCE k-bbq. But it's a la carte with a combination of k-bbq and non-kbbq options. They first served us a wide selection of different kinds of banchan, or side dishes, which were delicious. I especially enjoyed the sliced scallions with chili oil. For entrees, our table of 2 ordered a beef bulgogi bibimbap, perilla oil buckwheat noodles, and a ribeye combination that came with beef soup, lettuce (to make ssam), and some other items. Our server Tim was attentive and helpful, cooking the meat and offering suggestions for things to try off the menu. We ordered the hotteok for dessert per his recommendation, and it was awesome! Tasted like the fresh hotteok I had while visiting Busan. Personally, I don't eat beef or pork, so the menu was pretty limiting to me. I don't believe they had any chicken options, but they do have a few vegetarian salads and seafood options on the menu. Overall, this is a lovely k-bbq place with great ambiance, delicious banchan, and friendly service.

Yelp
Bori Montrose was decent, not spectacular, not disappointing. Food was good but the meat could have been cooked more evenly, portions too small, and it's expensive. I'm Korean and have eaten KBBQ my whole life, so I may have a different grading curve. Side dishes, ambience, and attentive service were the best part of it. Disliked that the portions were so small. We had to keep asking for more lettuce leaves because each plate only has a couple. And the banchan dish with leeks only had 3 small pieces. And there was only a teeny tiny amount of ssamjang. We ordered a large short rib plate, which the waiter said served 4-5. We had 3 in our party and only had a few small pieces of meat left over after the meal. Taste-wise, my favorite was the short rib seasoned with salt, pepper, and sesame oil. The marinated short rib was too sweet. The banchan and side dishes were good, particularly the scallion salad. The doenjang jigae had lots of clams in it. We asked for the meat to be cooked medium rare, but some pieces were too rare and others were more medium. The waiter was very attentive, but we did arrive early in the evening. I appreciated the decor, which was classy and modern with muted grays, similar to the Bori in Long Point. We prefer other Korean barbecue places outside of the loop - Honeypig is better value for similar quality meat (at least, we couldn't tell the difference), and it has an air of authenticity. The quality of the side dishes was better at Bori, waiters are certainly more attentive, and the ambience is fancier than the others, so that is what you're paying for.

Yelp
This was my first time at Bori. The Montrose location is such a cute spot. Inside is interesting since it's an hold house...or hostel?? Our party of 5 got seated in a room to ourselves upstairs which was actually quite nice. I might make some different meat selections next time but we did a good job filling up with the other apps/entrees too. I want a fan of the pork jowl. But all the dipping sauces are great. Pancake is filling- only do large for larger party. The spicy naeng-myun came as a great rec from our server as a cold noodle dish. Good flavor! I did enjoy having our meat get cooked for us so we didn't have to worry about that and could carry on with our ADD conversations as usual! They do have a valet lot, otherwise lookout for street parking between permit only signs for the neighborhood.

Yelp
My family and I had a great dinner to celebrate my brother's birthday at the new Bori in Montrose. First impressions are everything because the restaurant is set in a completely renovated house in a residential area and it's beautiful! They had several spots for street parking or a lot out back. Our party of 6 got a table upstairs and it made for a more intimate experience. We all split the large short rib platter and large ABC platter and our fave meats were the Soy Ginger NY Strip and the marinated short rib. All of the meats were very high quality and the overall amount of food we got alongside the banchan left us stuffed! The best part is that the waiters cooked our food. The staff were all very friendly as well. We'd definitely come back!

Yelp
Absolute gem of a restaurant (not even limited to kbbq). I've been to hundreds (from AYCE to high-end) of kbbq restaurants around the world, highlighting Korea and Los Angeles. I must admit that this is the BEST one I've been to overall. The ambiance, quality of food + service, variety of menu items and plating of each dish and banchan was top notch. We ended up getting the combo and selected the boneless short rib (beef row A), marinated boneless short rib (beef row B), and pork belly (pork row C). We also ordered beef belly a la carte. When I took the first bite of the marinated boneless short rib, I was shocked. The quality of the beef was immediately apparent. The beef belly usually just melts in your mouth due to the majority of the piece being fat. At this restaurant, that is not the case. It's very meaty but has little slivers that melt due to the perfect marbling, which pairs nicely together. It's important to note that none of us in my party were hungry due to the food marathon we had all day prior to coming here. I think that just goes to show how delicious the food is here. Sure, prices can be a bit on the higher end, but it's 100% justified. You can see them ahead of time, so if it's not within your budget, then make that decision before coming and deciding to leave a bad review when it's something that can be researched ahead of time. I've had much worse for far steeper prices before. The house setting was a great choice. I've seen nothing like this before from a kbbq joint and honestly, if it were to exist in Los Angeles, it would be an instant hot spot. With that being said, PLEASE COME TO LA!! If you're in Houston, it's a no brainer. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Bori - Montrose was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday with family. We had a table for 6 at 730pm on a Thurs, parking wasn't too bad on the street, but didn't realize it till later that they had parking behind the building as well. Walking up, I did not expect this restaurant to literally be a renovated house. We almost thought we had the wrong address driving through the neighborhood, but to our surprise it was actually very nice. We loved that we had a section upstairs pretty much to ourselves so it was private and intimate for dinner in just the right way. Service was phenomenal as well. For food, the 6 of us split their large short rib platter and large ABC platter. This allowed us to try their boneless short rib, seasoned short rib, marinated short rib, ribeye, soy ginger NY strip, and their pork belly. This was more than enough food when you add in all of their delicious banchan. These platters also came with white rice, soybean soup, kimchi jjigae, corn cheese, and steamed egg. Factor in the tasty variety of sauces, and you're in heaven. The high quality of the meat really shines through, and their servers perfectly cook the meats for you. I would 100% come back here again! Next time I might consider splurging and getting an order of their A5 Japanese Wagyu. I wish I remembered our server's name so I could give him props personally, but thanks to him he surprised me with a free chocolate mousse cake. Enjoy!

Yelp
New location is awesome. BORI has always been great. food and serice is great. We had the Butchers feast and it's plenty of food for 4 people. The spicy Pork Belly is my favorite. The new location is in an old house really cool. But it's small with a total of 17 tables. So make reservations. service is exceptional.
google avatar

Yelp
An excellent addition to the Montrose area! Great Korean bbq that will leave you wanting to skip the traditional steak house and come here instead. I'd say it's a great date spot as well as casual meal with family and friends. The meat quality is excellent and I highly recommend the boneless short ribs (both seasoned and marinated). All the sides are delicious as well and the staff is on top of it refilling any sides you may have finished eating (since they're small dishes). The location is also really cool being an old house that was once a bed and breakfast. The vibe is relaxed and semi-upscale but casual at the same time.

Yelp
Came for the soft opening with the 15% discount for dinner. The atmosphere was inviting and sleek. It's like walking into someone's fancy home. The ventilation for each table was also good and I didn't smell like bbq after leaving. It was a bit on the pricier side but there was good quality meat and the sides were delicious. Got the small bori beef cut set ($100) as well as the small seafood pancake ($16) and beef tartar ($38). That was enough food for 4 people with 2 who weren't overly hungry. One person in my party said that the seafood pancake at the first location is better and crispier. I personally prefer Cote for higher cost kbbq, but for Houston this was good to experience once or for a causal place to celebrate. Service was good!

Yelp
Excellent atmosphere and service. Food is incredible. For two of us, we opted for the 3 proteins combo and it was plenty of food. Try the fried dumplings, amazing flavors.

Yelp
They do well in what they specialize in - KBBQ, but don't expect too much from the experiential items. First: the good. They offer very generous portions of side dishes, including steamed eggs, vegetable, soup, and the typical banchans like kimchi, radish, and eggplants. Despite thinking the meat portion was small in the beginning, it was actually perfect for two people when you pair it with all the side dishes. They also cook the meat for you so this is perfect for date nights with my girlfriends when none of us want to (or know how to) cook - ha! My number one obsession with this place is how perfectly everything is portioned and planned out. The meat cuts, the lettuce size, the carrot sticks, the kimchi - everything is calculated into the PERFECT portion for a perfect one bite. Even if you end up taking a half bite, every single item will perfectly breaks in half. No meat or kimchi slipping out and making a mess. There has to be a science behind this. The cons: Beef tartare was way too sweet and heavy in sesame oil; "Stone pot" bibimbap was served in a regular bowl, and I know one commenter has already spoke to the manager about this. This was a shame because the bibimbap itself was amazing. It just needs that crispy rice and charred flavor of a stone pot; Finally, dessert was a no no. Their dessert options were actually very impressive with a wide range. I have yet to try their cakes, but the Hotteok was store bought and incredibly dry, with almost zero peanut fillings. I know they're not known for desserts, but doesn't it just feel a bit more fulfilling to end with a bang?
google avatar

Yelp
The best service ever which is what you expect from BORI. You have to try the scallion pancakes as they are so good.
google avatar

Lily N.

Yelp
I was seated right away and my server was very accommodating and helpful! Raymond was very attentive and making sure we had everything we needed. Although it was packed for dinner, it wasn't loud to where you can't hear your partner talking. The meat was delicious! Soft and not too chewy with a little bit of fat. The kimchi soup and eggs were delicious.

Yelp
Bori Montrose is still in Soft Opening mode at this time, so I was really looking forward to our special dinner yesterday. Lovely view on the second floor overlooking the streets! Service was alright as well, standard of the "luxury" Korean BBQ when your server cooks for you at tableside. Food-wise, there were a lot of room for improvement. Since our server cooked for us, it may ruin your meat cuts if they are not watching closely. That happened with our ribeye and A5 Wagyu, the ribeye was cooked more like medium well instead of our request for medium rare. Our A5 was charred one side and tasted bitter! We are not happy since it was MP and minimum 10oz to order! The A5 was buttery, yet the char ruined the flavor. Additionally, it was weird that our meat cuts came out and we did not get the appetizer Seafood pancake yet. Our server apologized saying he had forgotten to place it in, but I was willing to wait again since I really liked the pancake there. However, the pancake was not extra crispy as requested, and the bottom was dripping oil... the thicker section I could still see some wet batter...I guess the kitchen staff tried to send it quickly, but I would have appreciated a less mediocre dish. Tl;dr: soft opening mode, charred meats ruining flavor. Spring branch location probably better.

Yelp
We found amazing Korean restaurant in Houston. Location was great, food was s~oooo delicious and service person was so sweet and great!!! It was my daughter's 19th Birthday. What a fantastic dinner there!! They bringing the dessert with candle too. Never forget!! Will be back soon!!!

Yelp
I really enjoyed Bori , the beef quality was excellent and service was great and attentive, we also got the cold buck wheat noodles that was also very good and refreshing, especially in this Houston heat . My favorite cut of beef was the the seasoned rib fingers, I'll definitely be coming back

Yelp
I am a big fan of Bori so I was super excited to try this new location. I went during the soft opening. The vibe of the this location is very different from the other one. You definitely feel like you're in a house but in a cool way. We got to be in a private room upstairs that was so cool. The way the table was arranged was so unique and there was a door to balcony outside. Our server was very nice and attentive and they often had multiple servers coming in and helping out where needed. We didn't try any of the new items that were special to this Bori location but we have a group of 8 people and got the XL Butcher's feast plus a seafood pancake and cold noodles that was enough food to satisfy. As per usual, the meat was so flavorful and such good quality. I love how they bring all kinds of ssam wraps out to wrap the meat in and they weren't stingy with refilling any side dishes. Go check out this location to have great food in a unique environment!

Yelp
Nice to see that BORI has a new location in town. This location to me seems smaller, so I'd make sure to make reservations. To park in their loft, it's valet only. I'm a BORI fan... it's my go-to for my kbbq fix, special occasions, and bringing out of towners because quality of food is top tier. This location differs in some of their small plate or apps offerings. Actually super bummed they didn't have the marinated raw crab here. I tried the bulgogi tteokbokki, and it was more fusion-y than I expected, so it was a miss on my end. I love the meats here, from the ribeye, ny strip, short ribs, and the pork belly! And their side dishes are so delicious. I really like the charm of the original location, but the food is still yummy here.

Yelp
Tried Boris new restaurant in Montrose. Had a great time with my family. Always love the vibe and their beef choices are one of the best in town. If you like korean bbq, you gotta try either one of the Boris locations. If you like a more classic vibe Id go to the original location. If you like more energy, Id try the new location in Montrose. The servers are nice and very attentive to your needs as well. 5/5 korean bbq place for sure

Yelp
Everything about our dinner was great. Our server was attentive and was quick to refill our banchans. He cooked our meats exactly the way we wanted it. It is really nice to have tabletop BBQ when you don't have to cook it. We got the small rib finger combo and it was more than enough for 2 people. I got the hottoek which came with a scoop of ice cream for my birthday which was also delicious. We parked on the street bc we didn't know there was a parking lot. The restaurant was in a house and was beautifully decorated.

Yelp
One of the coolest restaurant experiences I've had in Houston! Came here for a birthday party, and it was the perfect location! Incredible food and atmosphere!

Yelp
My family and I absolutely loooooved the spring branch location so we were super excited when we found out a new location opened up in montrose. It's located kind of in the middle of a neighborhood and the building itself is beautiful, looks like it used to be a home. We made reservations for a Saturday to celebrate Mother's Day at 7 pm and it wasn't too busy at the time but definitely picked up later. We got the seafood pancake (always so crispy & perfect), bulgogi tteokbokki (was expecting it to have more of the usual spicy tteokbokki sauce but it was a pleasant savory surprise), and the butchers feast to share in addition to an extra order of bulgogi - overall the right amount of food for 6 people. Then we got the hotteok for dessert - yum! All of the dishes were fantastic, same great quality as the spring branch location. The service itself was great but with it being fairly new, there were some mistakes - halfway through cooking half of the meat, I had to remind the server to bring out the souffled egg, corn cheese, and kimchi soup that comes with the order of meat because he had forgotten to put it in. They also burned some of the first round of meat. Nothing major, just some things to point out. All in all, we had an amazing dinner and loved it all!

Yelp
Went for dinner during soft opening; our group ordered the large butcher's feast, which is a large selection of different meats and was enough for all five of us. It comes with a large selection of side dishes. The food was nothing short of excellent. Our server Raymond was very attentive and cooked the meat perfectly. The restaurant is a renovated house in a largely residential area. The inside is fairly small. There is street parking and valet. Overall, would highly recommend.

Yelp
I am an Korean American have been to the first BORI location in the Spring Branch so many time. I love they opened the 2nd location in Montrose area because it's closer to our neighborhood. Also, I tried other places inside the loop, and I was always disappointed. It's good that they have a couple of special appetizer menu for this location only. Food, service, ambiance, and location were great! If you want to try an authentic K-Bbq in this neighborhood, you must try this place!

Yelp
Legit bbq. Visiting Houston and this was near our hotel. Ordered the butchers feast Large for $189. Portion size was small for the price. 8 small pieces of beef belly. Two small strips of the marinated short rib, no bone. I love the bone. I asked and got a weird look so no bone. Pork belly was good but not the normal belly cut. Pork jowl was excellent. The best I've had and I always order it. Give me a couple more beef belly and the bone and I'd be happy with the price. Kimchi chigae was good but too sweet. Doenjang-jjigae was good. Salads and the puffy egg were excellent. Cheesy corn was not good. In that area you need to get the cheesy corn fixed asap. All of the banchan were authentic and most were good. They included different lettuce and sesame leaves to wrap. Most places charge extra for this. Terra beer because for some reason it's taken over in Korea. Service was excellent. Server stood there while the meat cooked. Got nice sear marks and cooked perfect. They changed the grill grates for different meats. Free valet parking in the back. Got there 5:30 and found out at the end they have a happy hour for 15% off total bill. Sweet.

Yelp
This place is a JEWEL. We've been four times now and it's just outstanding. Everyone that works there is great at their job.

Yelp
Valet parking is boo boo - but love their KBBQ here. Not sure if I prefer this location or the spring branch location better. Both are really good choices. Would definitely take out of town guests to this spot.

Yelp
This was our first time at BORI in Montrose. Absolutely loved the setting inside. We had a larger group and we were taken care of greatly by the staff. Raymond was fantastic at keeping us entertained, the food was great and service was excellent. I look forward to returning to BORI Montrose location!

Yelp
Really good. The good is just as good as the spring branch location but the house itself is pretty small. The service was very attentive especially for a soft opening and they also have happy hour first hour and last hour of the day where you can get 15% off.

Yelp
Fan of the spring branch location and excited to see it in our neighborhood. High quality meat for Korean bbq and got our go-to dishes such as seafood pancake, bibimbap. Good service and classy decor. Front gate/parking lot still under construction and full of potential when the bar opens. Will be a regular as it is so close!

Yelp
Visiting from out of town. Stumbled onto this super nice restaurant. The service is top notch. The food is the best we ever had. Don't think Kbbq will be the same for us again without Bori!

Yelp
My Husband and I love this spot! It's super close to our us so now we have become regulars! The meat quality is amazing! The price is higher for a typical Korean BBQ spot in Bellaire though. I also think the meats could use more marinade but that's my personal opinion.

Yelp
Beautiful place, looks like a converted home in a suburban neighborhood. Very clean and open space. My friend and I shared the Dolsot Bibimbap, Kimchee pancake and Soybean soup. All were great, and great service too.

Yelp
Pricey but very very good. Bilgogi was excellent and tender. Obvious they serve US prime cut beef. Sires were very good and the Seafood pancake is phenomenal. Treat yourself

Yelp
Great Gem in the Montrose! We're big fans of the Spring Branch location and we're so glad this one is much closer to us. Intimate atmosphere and food is excellent, just like the OG location. There are some location exclusive items that are worth coming here specifically (Bori Beef Tartare and Seabass Risotto with Ginger Foam were our faves). Will be back soon!

Yelp
The food was amazing at this new location, I absolutely loved the marinated rib finger which was cooked to perfection, but you can't go wrong with any of the meat. The atmosphere and ambiance of the place was great. The service was top notch as I felt well taken care of and my needs were met quickly. For parking you can either do street parking, which there is plenty of, or the complementary valet, whatever floats your boat. Overall great experience the staff and owner were very friendly and accommodating and I will be back again.

Yelp
Parking in their private lot is VALET ONLY, good luck finding any space in this apartment zone. No hope of eating here -- reservations ONLY, TWO HOUR wait for walk-ins

Yelp
Great kbbq spot! This is their second location and nothing had skipped a beat. The meat quality is top notch as well as hospitality. Our server Tim took great care of us. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Came here for dinner during their soft opening. Quality of service and food is just as you would expect, exceptional. Tim C. was our server, and he was great. As much as I love the original spring branch location, I love that the new location is even closer!
