We spent 4 nights here- we had a Jr suite for my husband and I and a standard bungalow for my teens (19, 16, 14) The resort is very remote- the road going in gets bumpy at the end and it takes about an hour from Liberia- but this is what we wanted to end our week long stay in Costa Rica. The bungalows are pretty basic but well appointed and clean- there is a smart tv (for the kids, I never turned mine on!) and a mini fridge in each room plus a nespresso machine for coffee. No snacks or waters or anything like that- bring those things with you to stock your own room before you get there! Plan to eat on site- you don't have restaurants near by to pop over to for dinner/etc- the included breakfast was good (basically same thing each day with small variations- changed the potato/side option, did french toast one day corn cakes another, etc but had gallo pinto/plantains & fresh fruit & a fresh egg cooking station each day). We left the resort one day to do the La Leona waterfall adventure hike off site- on the way back we stopped at El Mirador restaurant and would recommend a stop there! The beds were comfy & we slept well, AC works great, they will drive you around the resort (it is very hilly) if you call the front desk for transport. We did an adventure tour on site- the 4 senses (horseback ride, hike to waterfalls, zipline in canopy) and it was AMAZING! A great value for the cost and the guides were so great! The views- the best part of this place! From our balcony we could see out to the Pacific ocean in the distance, the most amazing sunsets, we had a tree full of squirrel monkeys each day next to our bungalow, we saw howler monkeys down by the pool, we lathered up in volcanic mud & soaked in the hot tubs. We never tried the spa or the pool area so I have no reports on that. The last day was very rainy and we just relaxed and enjoyed the tranquility- it was a perfect ending to an adventurous week.

There is no place more beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. I love coming here. The staff are incredible, the food and drinks are so good. The horseback riding and ziplining are so much fun w/ access to beautiful waterfalls. The pool (with a swim up bar), thermal steam room, cool trail, and hot springs are where you’ll spend as much time as you can. The rooms are so nice, comfortable beds, and the most delicious breakfasts. And last but not least, the mud, it is so good for your skin. You’ll leave this place reborn.

Beautiful Place, The two restaurants on site were great, the servers & hosts were very gracious, friendly and attentive. Breakfasts are complementary. The lunch and dinners were simple & phenomenal, Prices were fair & servings very adequate, we took to go boxes for Lunch the next day several times because we were full.. Loved the Complimentary mineral mud baths & Showers also the Free 3 Mineral Pools of differing temperatures. The swimming pools we're slightly heated, we even swam in the light rains late morning to early afternoon. Our trip to Costa Rica at this resort was wonderful. And I really appreciate the transportation people that took you from your room to the dining areas and back to your room or any other place on the site. You park your cars in a designated parking space & transportation persons would caddy you to and from any area on the site I always tip them a couple of dollars for the ride. J.B.

The road to the location is the only drawback because it's a very rough dirt road, but once you get to the resort, from the moment you arrive, you are treated like royalty! The location looks just like all the pictures and better! The landscaping was perfect. The food and restaurant location and ambiance were great. The hospitality was above any expectation. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The resort spa, thermal baths, pool, and grounds were amazing. The diversity of wildlife throughout was a spectacle to the eyes and ears. I would love to go back!

Traveled with 2 (7 and 10) kids and spent 4 days at the resort. The 5 of 5 is mostly due to the incredible setting, landscaping, area, adventure offerings and food offerings. We did not interact with the actual hotel staff much. But everything was very efficient (via whatsapp). The grounds are large and beautiful. With a lot of walking between rooms, restaurant and pool/spa area. Extremely well manicured grounds, beautifully designed pool, sauna and mineral pool area. Monkeys in the trees every day, and an amazing thermal sauna over hot springs. Overall a very natural feeling. The adventures “on site” can compete with anything in CR. The zipline specifically was one of the highest and most spectacular I have seen here. Overall an amazing and relaxing time. We did not leave the grounds at all over 4.5 days. Thanks to the management and all the staff that made this trip so memorial (from a serial CR traveler)

Not far from Liberia but the drive is slow in places. The resort is very quiet. Not a lot of shade or lounge chairs by the pool. The mud bath is interesting and there are numerous activities to purchase right at the property which means you don't have to travel the road There are two restaurants and a snack bar for lighter meals. A breakfast buffet is included with the room. The thermal pools and the a natural sauna from the bubbling mud steam is fun to experience.

Ahh where to begin… I’ll say this, if you’re looking for a deep nature recharge and fresh oxygen, this place is for you. Secluded in the mountains this resort blends in with the rainforest and comes jam packed with activities!||I solo’d here for my birthday last week and it was AMAZING! The staff was friendly, attentive and accommodating. I stayed in a villa and it was cute and quaint. Be advised the rooms are on hills. The property isn’t huge but you’ll get a workout. They do have a shuttle to drive you wherever you need to go. The wildlife coming in and out is always a treat. The property comes with 3 spring pools, a mud bath, sauna, nature trails, waterfall access and a pool with an infinity section. It’s amazing what you’re getting for the price. ||The excursions were top tier! I did the Expedition Tour-10/10 on horse back. As well as the Sunset Tour and the Mountain Tradition spa-10/10 as well. The breakfast included was amazing and the dinner wasn’t expensive. All in all if you want a getaway staycation vibe from the party scene, this place is for you.

While friends were sweltering on the west coast beaches of Costa Rica, we had a marvelous, fun and activity-filled stay in the mountains. The cottages are large, clean, modern and each have a lovely view. We particularly recommend the suites perched high above the resort (though it's a steep walk), the views are incredible. We hiked on our own daily plus whitewater rafted, rode horses, did a series of zip lines, plunged in the lovely pool, in the thermal pools, took in a steam bath and still found time to sit with a bottle of wine from their surprisingly good selection and watch the sunset.|If you want to go on any Excursions nomadtourscr Is your man! He is very Trustworthy And very helpful! He made the experience a real dream. We went on a tour to La Leona waterfall hike, and Rincon de la vieja volcano hike It was fantastic!!
