This place has so much potential. it’s a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The location is perfect, offering peace, calm and fresh air. The staffs are amazing and warm, kudos for that. However, the poor maintenance was a major downside, which was somewhat disappointing. Not to mention the road getting to the resort is not paved for some reason. The waterpark, in particular, was dirty and poorly kept. But we use it anyway 😆 On the bright side, the resort tour was excellent and a lot of fun! I really hope this resort gets a much-needed upgrade in the future.

Please listen to the other reviewers ... past its prime is putting it nicely. This place is dangerous to health and potentially life. It would be a really interesting explore of what looks like an abandoned hotel and amusement park. We were the only guests overnight. Our room was extremely mouldy so much that both myself and my daughter were coughing all night and I could not breathe properly . We also had itchy skin. The paint is peeling revealing all the mould. The bathroom was not clean, toilet looked like it hadn't been flushed in months, there were blood stains on the sheet and the inner pillows were all stained completely orange from years of bodily fluid build up. I wish I had taken a picture of the pillows. There was hair in the other bed. The other room had a broken shower head, a loose tab and a very dodgy electrical connection ||||We were asked when we wanted dinner and breakfast but not asked what type of food.. We assumed it may be buffet or menu but it was a set delivery of cling film wrapped meat, fish, rice and cauliflour in meat gravy. Two of our party where vegan and vegetarian so we didn't eat. Not that we trusted the food anyway. There is no telling how long the food had been lying around in clingfilm. We saw no cooking in the kitchen so presumably these were microwaved. I was asked whether I had had dinner but I replied no as there were no vegetarian/vegan option and they just accepted this.. no offer of any other food. ||The dinning room also reeked of mould and to get there we had to walk over a collapsing wooden patio with quite a steep drop underneath.||||In the morning we went for a little explore over rickety walkways to the extremely dirty water park again built on falling apart elevated wooden platforms. One of the people in our party went on the walk to the waterfall. The walkway was so badly rotten that there were planks missing and one plank even broke when he put his foot on it. These walkways alternate between a foot and several metres of the ground! Not safe at all. This place is a fatal accident waiting to happen! We were surprised by the adventurous people arriving in the morning who risked their life on the flying fox attraction. ||||This place is completely overpriced for the shocking condition this place is in and the toxic mould it exposed us to all night.

Going there was terrible, at first reaching the entrance was quite far from the location itself cz it's deep all the way down. First came in to the reception everything was fine when we guide by our friendly intern 1 boy 1 girl ( there was polite and good ) for jungle trekking. Before heading to Jungle trek , we be inform that once break came back to lobby which is Reception place as the receptionist told us but once we came back the receptionist was gone nowhere to be found , even we hit the bell or gong there also no ppl. And the place also looks terrible without any modification and the management team please improve the place as in Near to Taman negara , is look like Ghost place.

A resort that’s past its prime. Looking through its faded catalogues there has been lots of activities available but now many of these need maintenance. The water park and associated signage look out of the 80s. Perhaps facilities would be maintained better should there be more guests using them. Room is spacious good for family of 4, oversized for just couple. The musty smell could be bothersome for some. Resort tour comprised a tram ride and boat into lake feeding fish. The driver could have offered info on the resort. Felt that the tour in the prime of the resort would have included more. Walk to waterfall after the water park is using wooden broadwalk that looks just functional enough but could use serious maintenance. Whilst the walk through the forest was refreshing the waterfall itself was underwhelmingly small and not suited to bathe. FYI there is a closer mini waterfall off walking trail 1 that could wade in knee deep. The forest walk trails need serious maintenance to clear foliage and branches; did not try trails 2 & 3 which might be impassable considering condition of trail 1. Did not try other activities and used 2nd day as springboard to Lambir Hills National Park around 20 mins away. Despite what others said about food, we found dinner and breakfast above expectations. The portions were huge for 2 pax and tasty provided cooking style aligned. Note there’s no menu to select so meals are served as set. No buffet either. Resort location needs own transport or booking the resort van to pickup / dropoff to Miri or airport. For Maxis users no phone line at resort and wifi is only available from lobby. Chance to really disconnect if not needed to be contactable. Feel value of the resort would have been higher if prices lower since many facilities are not maintained. Maybe more fun visited with larger groups of friends to play water and group activities.

Best location for nature lovers and suitable for families. But the resort management team has to work hard and spend resources to maintain its facilities. All buildings look too old. Most of the infrastructure must be refurbished. They look like they are collapsed at any time.

I went on a day trip with my friends recently. It was nice, but there were a few things that could have been better. We enjoyed the activities more during weekdays as there were fewer people around. However, the waterpark in the evening was quite crowded. It was still fun, but some of the guys were being a bit creepy towards the girls when playing. Despite that, I think the package was worth the price we paid for it.

First, the water park is not properly maintained. For the highest slide, my boyfriend’s swimming trunk was torn after slide, and my sis get injure after slide by hitting something (dk what in the slide or side). Second, they told us the price is include lunch (refer the pic), harlo pls lah, this only can say is tea break instead of lunch, they only give us (10 people) 3 plates (kuih, cupcake, and watermelon). After I ask them why not buffet (coz this is my third time to visit here) and thy say coz is less than 15ppl…. I can accept not buffet but not like so perfunctory bah? They give us jelly after we complaint about so less food……

My kids enjoyed this place especially the truck ride and fish feeding. The staff were also friendly and helpful. The food was great. This place needs some refurbishment especially the pool. The pool was slippery due to the moss which was dangerous. Some areas were quite dirty. The changing room needs more equipment. Overall we still enjoyed our day.
