Miiro Borneta (Barcelona, Catalonia) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"In quick succession, the lifestyle brand Miiro unveiled a collection of stylish hotels in Paris, Barcelona, and Gstaad, all based on the concept of connection to place. On the edge of Parc de la Ciutadella in Barcelona’s artsy El Born neighborhood, that means a charming 19th-century building, interiors reimagined by a former design director at Soho House, Spanish wine and cheese by small organic producers, and a stylish rooftop terrace with a bespoke egg sculpture beside the pool." - Tablet Hotels

Absolutely amazing experience. Top notch, classy, and definitely made us feel upscale. The place isn't necessarily cheap (our weak CAD didn't help) but in my opinion it was worth the splurge. You can tell the entire place was very thought out to bring a premium experience from the moment you walk in with the front desk staff, the rooms, the service, the common spaces - it even smelled classy inside (they told us it was a custom scent created for their hotel haha, wish we could have bought it!). The rooftop pool was very lovely, the main floor cocktail bar was also a highlight. The lounge, library, and reading room were also a great spot to curl up with a book or do remote work. They even had a "freshen up room" downstairs that allowed you a private place to take a shower, use the washroom, and change if you found yourself at the hotel before or after your checkin/checkout. The rooms were comfy, had an exquisite and fancy mini bar, but the best part was of course the location. Literally steps away from Parc de la Ciutadella out front and steps away from the El Born neighbourhood/Gothic Quarter, which has more shops, restaurants, cafe, cocktail bars, and other cool stuff to explore than you could imagine! It's also only about a 20 minute walk to La Barceloneta Beach and neighbourhood, which it totally worth the visit. Overall we were super pleased with the service and thought that the higher price tag was worth it. We'd stay here again or at other hotels in the chain!

This is an amazing hotel with simply perfect service. All the staff are super helpful and professional. The location is central, yet quiet. The rooms to the back are completely quiet, and I had perfect sleeps both nights. I only want to stay here now everytime I come to Barcelona.. it's my favorite hotel by far! Also, I had the best Bloody Mary in the bar, which plays great music with cozy seating. Thank you Borneta.!♡

We loved our stay at Borneta. It’s in a great area, lively but not over crowded, was walking distance to many attractions including the Picasso museum and the Sagrada. Lots of great restaurants and shopping within minutes of the hotel. We had a junior suite with a terrace that was very spacious and comfortable. The terrace was such a nice bonus given the weather. We also made use of the rooftop pool that was a little too chilly to swim in but the patio is a lovely place to sit and read. The room amenities were very high quality and made the stay even more comfortable. The staff were very friendly and always there to help. The only negatives we experienced were that the pool towels were not always stocked and we had one tiny issue when we had our room cleaned - the cleaning lady must have gotten distracted or called away mid clean and left some cleaning products and a dirty rag on our bathroom sink. Other than that, we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona .

Beautiful hotel in the midst of all the main attractions. Great service. A short walk to the waterside and access to the promenade. City tours buses right outside hotel as well (always a great way to see a new city!). We were welcomed everywhere. Keeping your possessions close is always a must in any city so no different here. I bought an underarm bag to keep possessions safer whilst walking around. In short - an amazing hotel and lovely staff.

The Miiro Borneta is a fantastic hotel. According to the staff it was opened 2024, so it is very new and that shows: rooms, beds, bathrooms, and facilities are in top notch order. I stayed four nights with my teenage son. Notable is also the relative quietness. I usually cannot sleep without earplugs and expected that also in a hotel in center Barcelona but I didn’t need it (AC was really quiet, loudest outside noise were the seagulls). The breakfast is upper medium level. It was included in our rate and we enjoyed it also on day 4. The staff was very helpful and friendly (even remembering my favorite hot drink). Location is perfect for a city trip. We did a lot by foot or used the bus from the street in front of the hotel. There are a lot of really great restaurants and bars close by.

I love this hotel! What a great find! The building is very nicely decorated, very clean, and has some great public spaces to hang out if you're not doing anything but also don't want to sit around the room. The restaurant and bar are awesome and decently priced (for hotel faire). The staff has been super friendly. And the Junior Terrace Suite is lovely! I highly recommend it.

This is a very tastefully decorated hotel. The Le Labo products in the bathrooms feels luxurious, the rooftop is nice and secluded and good views across the city. Staff were very friendly. Really nice that they have showers you can use once you have checked out if you have a late flight Few issues, which would not be mentioned if this wasn’t >€300 a night which I think is very overpriced and not worth it due to the following reasons. The room was very small. No one showed me to my room, they just put me in a lift. No welcome drink offered. I expect both of these for the price. The rooftop seating by the pool is not comfortable if you want to lay down for a relax and relax they’re very narrow hard sofas really. The bed was incredibly squeaky, every time you roll over, and I mentioned it to staff and they just laughed…

My wife and I had an incredible stay at the Borneta during our first trip to Barcelona, and overall our experience was exceptional. Of special note was Guest Liaison Quentin's unyielding desire to be helpful in any way he could - his time, attention, and suggestions truly helped define our stay. The El Borne location is perfect for enjoying the older, less frenetic parts of the city, and the property (including the bar and restaurant) is stylish and modern without being at all stuffy. The only reason I wouldn't give a 10/10 (9/10 for sure) for Overall Experience is that housekeeping had a few stumbles. I would say that about half the nights there, we did not receive turndown service or an adequate restock of towels/toiletries/robes, and the minibar was never restocked unless I specifically asked at the front desk. Our room cost included their "all the works" option (unlimited and free), so it seems reasonable that the drinks and snacks should have been refilled each and every day without any effort from us. Lastly, there was a discrepancy between their web site's stated hours of operation for the pool bar and what we experienced (11pm online vs 10pm in real life). For a city as late-night oriented as Barcelona (at the height of tourist season no less), 10pm seems weirdly early to close up shop, and many guests we spoke to felt the same. But overall, we had a wonderful time and feel lucky to have centered our stay in BCN at the Borneta. Dining and drinking at Volta (the in-house restaurant and bar) was amazing, and our terrace suite (with outdoor shower, a welcome luxury during the sweltering temps of August) was a relaxing retreat from long days and nights out and about. Hotels should be much more than simply a place to shower and sleep, and the Borneta is the definition of a pampering boutique hotel experience. Should we ever return to Barcelona, we would absolutely stay again!
