3 Best Day Trips From Copenhagen

"Located on a cliff above the glistening ocean, the Bornholm Kunstmuseum is widely regarded as one of the best on the island. The simple and airy modernist building features a collection of arts and crafts related to Bornholm, starting all the way from the 1800s. Bornholm has long been considered an artist's destination (because of the wonderful light), so visitors can expect a host of impressive exhibits. Bornholm doesn't draw the hordes the way cities like Copenhagen do, so you won't have to elbow your way to the art. The museum is light-filled and spacious, so there's enough of an opportunity to lose yourself for an afternoon." - Mary Holland

Very lovely museum with a very good structure and even accessible for wheel chairs. The exhibition was really nice and the area around is very beautiful (I went during summer). The price for adults was 100dkk and they have discounts for big groups and for children. They also have a small coffee shop with some snacks and drinks.

Some of the art is great, but it is not a pleasant experience visiting. The museum is excessively overheated, even with windows open. On a cold day, every visitor is in T-Shirt to cope. This may be due to the outdated lighting system: it’s the old, now prohibited lightbulbs used throughout and they heat up the place. That is not just uncomfortable - in a time of climate change and Putin‘s war, when the whole country is seeking to cut down on energy use, it is also unethical.

Modern setting, fine views and…. Some interesting art. There is this little waterway that goes through the place, down stairs and across the floor. I hope they have it running when you visit.

Yelp
Interesting building with local arts material, mainly paintings and scluptures. On the sunny day we've been there it was quite hot inside. The entrance fee was Ok although it wasn't my favorite museum.
