Bornrif Lighthouse

Peaceful location great for photography. Another amazing place in the Netherlands.

Great view from the top, clean with some displays and information. Toilets available.

It has extravagant views over the island. Thinking about how important these light towers were back in the day… The stairs are narrow and some waiting time when meeting a school class or group heading down, when going up. Plenty of times to rest if required by young or older folks. They charge about six euros and there’s a small souvenir stand if you’re into buying a memory or two. It’s a nice bike ride to the tower and you can have a picnic on one of the tables in the surrounding area. If you don’t like heights then this is not the place for you.

A great landmark to climb up or visit around when visiting the island.

Not worth the rediculous 7€. If money is no problem, you'll get a nice view of the surrounding isle ans wad/northsea. You can see Terschelling from there.

We didn't visit inside because at the time we went the lighthouse was closed. But the surroundings are amazing. Great trails to the beach, picnic area, parking spots, it is very nice to get here and stand below this magnificent construction.
