Borve Camping & Caravan Site

We enjoyed it here so much we came back for a second night. Donald was helpful & friendly, he gave me some excellent advice when our ferry was cancelled. Great facilities, showers & toilets were clean, good flat pitches with wonderful views. Great little kitchen, I was able to wash & dry some clothes while we were there. Highly recommended.

Our first night here was very windy with 55mph winds, according to BBC Weather. But no casualties on site! It is a very nice clean site, overlooking the sea, with decent facilities. A good shower which was included in the price. Facilities in the amenity block if needed included a toaster, air fryer, microwave, Tea and Coffee making facilities including free supplies. Also a Washing Machine at £4 per cycle and Tumble Dryer at £1.50. A friendly owner who, like a lot of Island inhabitants, has a second job so not always on site. But accessible enough. We stayed 4 nights whilst exploring Barra. And if returning will book again.

A stunning setting with great amenities and a very friendly host (Donald). |The site is located on a small cliff overlooking a bay looking west. Superb. A lovely block where people congregate and share stories whilst passing. |We would definitely recommend this site to stay on Barra.|The island is so small this can be a base to explore the whole island. You would be disappointed.

Staying here for 2 nights before getting the ferry over to the Uists, the views are spectacular and the site is right on the water's edge, the facilities here are first rate, hot showers and somewhere to do your washing and washing up if you want, also free WiFi available, the owner Donald couldn't be more helpful.

Lovely campsite on Barra. Beautiful views over the sea. Donald was incredibly helpful and welcoming, he sorted us out with an EHU cable as ours was too short. Best showers we've found in our 2 years of camping. Toilets and facilities always clean. Really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed in a campervan So, there are no rooms to rate Views are lovely / great. I'm sure sunsets would be magnificent (if weather different) Facilities good, for small site, if camping some helpful stuff in the kitchen Would happily stay there again!

Just back from an enjoyable stay here. Pitches are nice and flat with stunning views. Location is great with close proximity to castlebay. Site owner is friendly and welcoming. Facilities are very clean. Kitchen has various bits to use, such as a toaster. Lovely and quiet at night.

All the campsites on Barra are truly lovely, but for us personally this took the biscuit! Donald, the owner, is so incredibly friendly! The views are amazing and facilities are clean and the showers are hot.
