"As you walk through Stellenbosch’s town center, you’ll probably smell the bread baking at Boschendal at Oude Bank before you even arrive at the café’s main entrance. Owned by Boschendal Farm Estate since early 2017, the local favorite is a bakery, bistro, and farm shop in one, serving seasonal dishes made from locally sourced, farm-fresh ingredients. The warm interior features cozy dining nooks, but you should really sit outside, where you can sip your matcha latte while people-watching on Bird Street. Go for breakfast and order the brioche French toast, or stop by for lunch and pair the trout salad with a glass of chenin blanc from the farm."

Loved the food, atmosphere and service! The food was super pricey but definitely worth it. The decor is enchanting and I'd definitely recommend the smoothie bowl. Also the pastei de natas from the bakery are fantastic.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. They ran out of soya and almond milk, but we did visit them on Christmas day, so it could have had an impact on stock. We enjoyed the gluten free chocolate brownie not even realizing that it's gluten-free. It tasted delicious.

We were there a few months ago for a quick breakfast. We did not know that the place changed the owner (from Schoon de Companje to Boschendal an Oude Bank). We accepted it with disappointment, because we remember the delicious pizza from the previous place. I chose scones with jams. The food was tasty and the Rooibos Bloody orange tea was delicious!

An awesome new wine venue in the heart of Stellenbosch, Church Street. Beautiful interior with super friendly staff. Very cool selection of wines, nicely presented by knowledgeable, well traveled and unpretentious team of wine enthusiasts... Enjoy some great food and amazing wines....

Good food, good vibe. Pizza is excellent! They bake their own breads - delicious! And you can buy tasty goodies from their deli too. Located right in the heart of Stellenbosch. Sit inside or outside, great for every season. Welcoming decor and staff are friendly.

I liked this place a lot. First and foremost: the coffee is very good!! The location is superb, staff friendly, the bakery delicious and they have the best granola I had so far in lovely South Africa.

We had the most interesting cellar tour led by Dillon. Very informative interspersed with humor. Afterwards we had the Rhone picnic. The food was delicious. It was a great family day and I would highly recommend it.

22 Oct 2017: Great venue that retained its good bones after Boschendal aquired Schoon. Excellect food at very good prices. A rare find in Stellenbosch. The special French onion soup was superb!
