This beautiful mansion is surrounded by amazing gardens. The lovely renovated rooms all have new ensuites. It is a short stroll to the seaside, shops and eateries. Thank you to our hosts for a great stay and sharing your knowledge and passion of the local area. The breakfast here is awesome.

This is a lovely historic home set in a beautiful garden. Our room was so cosy, with a beautiful modern bathroom and stunning views of the Leven River. It was nice to end the day with a glass of port and start the day with one of the most delicious breakfasts we’ve had. Annette and David are lovely, relaxed hosts and gave us great tips of where to go in the local area. Couldn’t recommend this Bed and Breakfast more highly.

Love the grounds - very pretty mature garden with a period building. And the breakfast room was nicely period set up. Our room was neat and tidy... would have preferred the ensuite smaller so that the bedroom had room for a proper sofa. Pity window view overlooked neighbours, so we needed to draw curtains to French doors next to bathroom... and holiday accommodation was so close to busy road.||All the rooms are upstairs.... so be prepared to lug luggage up one floor.||Owners were very friendly and welcoming... they even offered really large umbrellas to borrow during our rainy stay.||It's wonderful they offered us the flexibility of deciding in advance when we would like our cooked breakfast served the next morning. And advance ordering exactly what we preferred cooked. I suggest sticking to their savouries over the sweet.... love they garnished my eggs with edilble flowers from their garden.||So compared to the limited options in Ulverstone, they're a great choice. But next time would look for a self contained cottage beyond ... like in Penguin, for example.

What a beautiful place to stay! Our room was delightfully fresh and clean and tastefully furnished with a cosy heater that looked just like a real log fire- oh and fresh flowers too! A stroll to town saw us discovering great shopping and antique shops. Breakfast was enormous and delicious. If you need a place to refresh, retreat, revive, then this is it- such a feeling of peace about the place. Thank you David and Annette for your kind hospitality!

Love this place so much. We always feel welcome to this lovely property by David and Annette. The rooms and gardens are exquisite. Breakfast is delicious. This weekend was our second stay, and we'll visit again.

With such lovely gardens around the building, it was just as nice to be inside as it was outside. The rooms we super cute and felt very open with the light and space, and the shared amenities were fantastic - i.e. the shared fridge had cold water in it, there were many tea options, a bottle of port with glasses was available, the lounge was very cosy (with games available), and they have an area where you can feel like you were outdoors without being in the elements. The owners were very friendly and made us feel very much at home, and the breakfast was just delicioous!

My husband and I had a delightful stay in early May at the beautifully restored Boscobel of Tasmania in the stunning North West region of Tasmania. Our hosts Annette and David were warm and friendly, accommodating and gracious. Annette served us a delicious breakfast of bacon and eggs with mushrooms, tomatoes and organic home-grown greens in a dining room reminiscent of an Irish manor. We stayed in bedroom 3 which has lovely views over the river, the town of Ulverstone and the beautiful surrounding hills. The home-made shortbreads and the tea and coffee making facilities upstairs were a lovely surprise. The bed was comfortable and the underfloor heating in the ensuite bathroom was a special treat in a cool climate. We enjoyed drinks by the open fire at night in the gracious lounge room and morning coffee in the lovely conservatory that looks out into the beautiful acre of gardens that surround this historic home. Thank you for your hospitality Annette and David, we will definitely be back for another visit.
