We got here for lunch a bit early so we were able to sit right down, but things did pick up later. The staff took our order right away, and our food arrived fairly quickly. The food looked and tasted great. I had the garlic gyro, and it was very flavorful if a bit messy. The fries that came with it were also delicious even without dipping sauce, although I did get some ketchup upon request. I’d definitely visit again, as that was one of the best gyros I think I’ve ever had, and I’d like to try some of their other menu items too.

Google
This has to be one of the best burgers I’ve ever had!! I got the garlic burger, topped with the heavenly whipped feta dip. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, and Clare provided amazing service!

Tyler Grimm

Google
Wow! Best Gyro in GR! Fries were amazing too!

Google
This place rocks! From the scenery to staff to the food, it's a great experience. I got the can't stop won't stop fries appetizer and a gyro for the main dish. The fries were delicious with the mix of gyro meat and taziki sauce. The gyro meal was like a sandwich and it was huge. Everything about this place is great.

Google
OH MY GOODNESS YUM! Yes, you will for sure like this place! It will become a new favorite! They’ve been around for twenty years and there’s a reason they survived when others closed in the last few years! Truly wonderful service and delicious food. The pillowy soft fresh baked bread is amazing. The meat is so flavorful and tender. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and welcoming. I noticed people from at least five different ethnicities dining here (which I love). It’s the type of food that everyone can enjoy. They worked with my diet restrictions easily and accommodated graciously. Restrooms are clean. Going back asap! This place is now our new favorite restaurant!

Google
This was the second time I have been here. This time I brought the family. We each had a different Gyro and they were all fantastic. My favorite so far is the Diablo. Staff is always kind and attentive. If you want a nice spot to go for a great Gyro go here!

Google
A really cute place! And the food is AMAZING! Great music, great vibes, great staff. I’d LOVE to be here on a night where there’s a soccer game going on I KNOW it would be packed!

Google
First time trying this restaurant. This is a must try!! The food was amazing! The meat was so flavorful, lettuce was crispy, and that bun was hands down the best! I will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

Yelp
Great Cevapi. Bread is crazy good. Bosnian food is a hidden gem that should be explored more

M C.

Yelp
First time eating there. Service was good. Had a gyro. It is shaped different than most others but it was very, very good. Knocking 1 star because I thought it a bit pricey but I'll be back one day.

Yelp
Wow! This is one of those places you are lucky to find, especially if you like Med. food. REALLY good, authentic gyros. Really great cevipi with red pepper sauce. Everything is real. Dino is a great server and don't forget the Turkish coffee. Definitely coming back! Great place for lunch!
google avatar

Yelp
Still just as good as always! Their gyros are still consistently great and super yummy. Tried their gyro burger the other day and I was surprised by how much I liked it. Definitely will be order that again. A great spot for a lunch on a weekday.

Yelp
The food was amazing , extremely tasty and generous portions. Service was good just one gentleman running the show but he was polite and helpful. The ambiance was nice kinda slow and uneventful but it was quite enjoyable

Yelp
If you haven't checked out Bosna Express, you are missing out! They have a.m.a.z.i.n.g & h u g e gyros!! Maybe you've heard of Zivio downtown? They have the same owners! And they have vegan options. Just a tip. ⁣⁣ We Bosna. Bosna Express is quite the hidden gem in Wyoming. We've been fans of theirs for a few years and can't help, but stop here during our lunch breaks. The cuisine is Bosnian, but you'll also get vibes from other Central European countries. Bosna is definitely right when they say they're on a mission is to never leave your belly empty! Highly recommend: *Can't Stop, Won't Stop Fries *The Three Cheese Gyro (add Fiery Feta sauce on the side) *The O.G.

Yelp
I have driven by this place countless times and yet despite all the rave reviews I never stopped in until today. Bosna Express has a Groupon right now so I decided to finally try it out with my boyfriend. The location is pretty great, right off the highway so easily accessible. We parked in the lot next to Casa la Parrot; the other side seems to be for Pizza Hut patrons. The interior is really nicely done with lots of large booths and great lighting. They have beer and wine, as well as coffee service. I had heard about the Can't Stop Won't Stop fries, so we ordered those - definitely a must-try. They're piping hot fries covered in mozzarella, feta, tzatziki sauce, gyro meat and feta. They are AMAZING. We ordered an OG Gyro (beef & lamb) and the cheesesteak. The sandwiches came out right as we were finishing the fries and holy cow, the gyro is massive. It's literally the size of your head and stuffed with meat, lettuce, tomato, onion and that delicious tzatziki. The bread is a little different than a gyro you might be used to; it's a light and fluffy bun type bread. You could absolutely split this between two people and be satisfied. The cheesesteak is seriously one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. To be fair, I wouldn't consider myself a cheesesteak connoisseur, but this thing was huge, full of tender, flavorful meat, cheese, and grilled veggies with some really tasty sauce. I would absolutely get this again! This is also big enough to split between two people. Our server was really polite and friendly, no complaints there. No complaints at all, actually. I can't wait to go back and try the cevapi, a traditional Bosnian sausage. If you haven't been to Bosna Express and like meat, definitely check it out. Note that most dishes are meat-heavy, vegetarians might not have a lot of options.

Yelp
New favorite lunch place!!! The service here is great. Our waitress was very friendly and knew the menu really well, giving great recommendations. It's pretty quiet and low key, so I think it would be a great one for a lunch meeting. The food is incredible, and priced really well. It's all extremely fresh, so be prepared to wait a bit to get your plates. Next time I'll order an appetizer, because my stomach was growling while waiting, surrounded by the amazing smells coming from the kitchen. Definitely will return!

Yelp
Came in with my 4 kids. Ages 2-12. Service was slow but very friendly. Small dining area but very cozy. My husband had lunch here the previous week and highly recommended the gyro. We lived in Germany for 2 years and come to love a good döner kabob. Closest we get to this in the US is a gyro. The bread on the sandwich here was a bit rubbery for my taste but the insides (feta, lamb/beef, tomato, sauce) were amazing! I'd order the sandwiches just for the meat. Yum. Kids loved the chicken but their fries stole the show. Yum yum yum.

Yelp
My wife and I went to dinner here last night for dinner. I have been wanting to try this place for years, and finally decided to go. There was only one person there when we walked in, and it did take a while for the server to come to the table, but after that service was great! I ordered the wiener schnitzel, which may have been the best I've ever had. My wife ordered the chicken shish kabab, which was also very good. I was not disappointed and will definitely be back!
google avatar

Kay H.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! I love the lettuce cups and my husband loves the original gyro. It's very tasty. I did knock down a star for the price. The portions I've had for the lettuce cups aren't very large (it's about the size of a medium salad for $10) and I've left hungry both times. Sodas are $3. If not for the price ($40 for the two of us and I leave hungry), we would be here way more often. Again, the flavor is amazing and staff are always friendly!
google avatar

Ricky M.

Yelp
Food is always delicious. We get it for our office regularly. The fries have amazing seasoning and the style of making gyros is top tier.

Rebecca LaFedric S.

Yelp
The best bread, pitas and everything else! We've never been disappointed here. Most often we order pitas for take out, but we've enjoyed everything from beef stroganoff to fried smelt here! They usually have baklava as a nice sweet too. You will enjoy sitting down for a meal as well.
google avatar

Leah W.

Yelp
Omg! Food is so bomb! Hidden gem! Went here with a large party and they were accommodating and we all raves about the food! Prices are low too
google avatar

Mike G.

Yelp
THIEVES!!!!!!!!!!!! Decent donor. The fiery was just franks red hot. MIAN NOTE. Was just there on Thursday June 18 at 11am as they opened. Sat outside and my guest and I each had a donor. Outside is pay first. Have her a tip on the credit and then also have her cash. Was just alerted by my credit card company that I tipped her $15, a 59% tip. The waitress put a 1 in front of the 5. Thieves! Will not be going back.
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
Went here for lunch with a coworker and it was only my second time visiting. The place was pretty empty upon arrival but by the time we were done eating it was packed! Be sure to have time as it isn't a quick fast-food joint. They make their own sauces and dressings - the salad dressing was amazing! I got the cabbage rolls with mashed potatoes and homemade bread (which is also quite delicious). The parking is tricky so be sure to park on the "parrot side" as the other side is all Pizza Hut parking with signage. I couldn't give 5 out of 5 just because it was pretty slow service and the cabbage rolls weren't really much to write home about - that being said, their gyros are where it's at!
google avatar

Brianna S.

Yelp
A hidden gem frozen in time! Great place to go for gyros! They have a lot of different kinds. Very unique place

Nikola T.

Yelp
Amazing food, amazing staff, incredibly accommodating. The food is so good that I come here at least once a week. My advice is to try the soda called Cockta with your meal.

Joe C.

Yelp
I prefer the gyro items more so than the other food I've tried here so far. The gyros are delicious at this spot, along with the bread it comes on. Furthermore, sort of a difficult spot to find, service here can be a little slow at times, due to a lack of servers, pricing is around what I would expect for gyros from a restaurant. All in all, still a gem of a place.
google avatar

Kiki K.

Yelp
We had a Groupon that was going to expire soon, so we popped in to use it. We split the can't stop, won't stop fries. The chef was super accommodating for my partner's dairy allergy so he made us a split order. Really good! Next I had the cheesesteak. Wow it was awesome. The server had forgotten the hot sauce - make sure you get it. Such an upgrade. Last was a baklava dessert. I'd say the Hershey's syrup was unnecessary- that a little honey drizzle would have been fine. Very dense - had coconut in it. Delish!! Also a solid craft beer selection. I totally want to go back and try some of their more authentic dishes.
google avatar

Dan A.

Yelp
We came here craving gyro and Bosnian kebabs but were quite disappointed with the food. My devil's gyro was overloaded with sauces so much that I wasn't able to taste the meat. Maybe I should've opted to get their original or garlic gyro instead. My wife ordered the cevapi which was very bland for our taste. Only thing we liked here was the can't stop, won't stop fries. Not sure if we'll be back but maybe I'll try their Philly cheese steak next time
google avatar

Brandon W.

Yelp
Food was amazing tried the all day gyro was great. Can't stop fries are to die for. Service was wonderful fast and super helpful. Even if you are just passing by the Grand Rapids area this is a place to try without question. Portions are huge.
google avatar

Phillip W.

Yelp
Bosna is serving great food, in huge helpings, at ridiculously low prices. They also have a great draft beer selection at equally great prices. Grand Rapidos ought to be going in droves. But on the Thursday night we were there, the place was almost empty. That's a shame. I would suggest though that you disregard the "Express" in the name. It wrongly makes it sound like a fast food joint. Also, ignore the whole reservation tab on the website ... You don't need one.
google avatar

Rebecca B.

Yelp
This is a great lunch spot. Be forewarned that the empty Pizza Hut next door seems to have a lot of instructions about their parking lot and all the places you cannot park. So I ended up next door on the other side in the bicycle shop - way friendlier. Next time I will stop into the bike shop to see what's up. Anyway, the food at Bosna is good. I have been there twice, both times I got the sandwich - for $1 more you can add fries which is the perfect price point. I liked my sandwich, the consistency seems to be there. The turnaround is very fast. Waitresses are okay, not overly friendly but quick.
google avatar

Marianne G.

Yelp
I had never heard of this place before and happened to drive by it. Not long after, I got a recommendation to go there from my Bosnian boss. I went as soon as possible! And it was absolutely delicious. We decided to get gyros, a regular one and a spicy one (with spicy feta sauce). They are absolutely massive, and they come on a homemade "pita" bread called lepinje that was to die for. The meat was great, the ingredients were fresh and the spicy feta was awesome - definitely spicy. I ordered fries with it, but could barely finish the gyro itself. I cannot wait to go back - they had a lot of great authentic Mediterranean food on the menu.
google avatar

Cindy K.

Yelp
Had the Can't Stop fries, grill plate, and gyros. Everything was delicious! Gyros are HUGE! Garlic tzaziki is great! Sausages were very tasty! Friendly staff. Definitely would come back.
google avatar

Ryan M.

Yelp
As an out-of-towner from Pittsburgh on a business trip I was looking for something local and out of the box. I found it at Bosna Express . This small local Mediterranean really hit the spot . I choose to start out with an order of fried feta balls . I received about 8-10 fried pieces with two dipping sauces . Both appeared to be homemade . One marina and tzatziki sauce both were excellent. I followed this up with the Devils gyro, if I would have known the size I would have skipped the appetizer . This meal was more then enough . Bosna also has a rotating tap with foreign and some local favorites that may be hard to find elsewhere. Overall this was a great dinning experience. Note: when parking use the lot opposite the Pizza Hut . They for some reason need 15 parking spots for pick up deliveries and will not let you park on one side of the building

Dan B.

Yelp
Had the original today. It was amazing. The fries are crazy good too. Interior design is nice and the staff are extremely attentive and kind. Prices are great too.

Yelp
I've passed this place more times than I can count, each time thinking I have to stop in and try it. I finally stopped in and I'm so happy I did! the food is amazing! the place has a laid back feel to it and the service was great. the food was quick and seriously the best gyro I've had. it was really big and full of meat, they didn't just stuff it full of lettuce like some places do. I also got the baklava which was really yummy and a perfect way to end a great meal! Update: we went for a team world cup watch party with my son's team (10-11 year old boys) the people that work there were amazing! food was still amazing (and so much food! 2 of us split a gyro and can't stop won't stop fries) and $4 drafts during the match was great! definitely going back for the next world cup!

Yelp
What can I say.... wow.... Eating is one of my favorite hobbies, and I absolutely love foods from different regions. Tonight's menu: Bosnian. What a crossroads of cultures. Originally, I was craving German food, Jagerschnitzel to be exact. I turned to Yelp, entered "German Food", and Bosna came up in the hit. Mediterranean.... German.... made sense to me, I guess. I pull up to the unassuming building, and entered... warm, rich wood gives it a very comforting feel. Reading the menu before I came in, I already knew what I wanted... the "Jaegur". Never had anything like it before, so, why not... Boy, am I glad I did. If Jagerschnitzel and a Gyro had a baby, It would be the Jaegur, in the shape of a Mexican Torta. Tender, thinly sliced souvlaki, tossed with Jager sauce, piled high on what appears to be a Bosnian ciabatta style bread, thin crust and tender crumb. One bite, and you can taste the regional influences... To the south of Bosnia, you have Greece and Turkey. To the north, you have Austria and Germany. They all came together in a sandwich. Absolutely delicious, and extremely unique. For a "side dish", I ordered their "Fried Feta Cheese Balls". Another simply amazing dish. If you've never had "Eastern European" Feta, it's a bit different than your traditional "Greek" style feta. Being fried, the composition changes... it was *almost* as salty as Nabulsi cheese, yet creamy and rich like French Brie, yet fluffy like Marscapone. Served with a Marinara sauce, where you can taste the Italian influence from right across the Adriatic Sea. The saltiness of the cheese balanced extremely well with the sweetness of the the tomato and basil of the sauce. The spices, though... still trying to pinpoint the mix... it's different... but delightful. Bosna has been bookmarked. I will most definitely return here next time I'm in town. If you're just getting into town, make Bosna a destination. Make your meal complete with a cold glass of Bosnian beer... ;-)

Yelp
Was a little weary with the location but after going inside my mind was changed! It was clean and cute and not what I expected! The food was fantastic! I ordered the garlic gyro and it was delicious! It was also enormous! The price was very good for the large amount of food you got! I will be back and tell others about this place!
google avatar

Renee J.

Yelp
Tried the garlic gyro swapping the spinach and cucumbers for traditional lettuce, onions and tomatoes. The lamb/beef was very tasty. They serve it in a puffed bread rather than a pita. I found it too chewy to eat, so I ate my sandwich open-faced. Enjoyed lunch with a craft beer. Very good.
google avatar

Jackie T.

Yelp
I didn't know what to expect, but boy were we pleasantly surprised! I hope this restaurant does well. Delicious food and nice decor... We had the Gyro, Cheese Steak Sandwich, and the Cesapi. Hands down, the gyro and cheesy steak sandwich were OUTSTANDING! Homemade bread on both is to die for- light, fluffy, and lightly browned. OMG. Honestly, I would return just for the bread, but the fillings in both dishes were so good as well. Do yourself a favor and try this place out.
google avatar

Danny A.

Yelp
Meets the expectation in every way!! The cevapi plate was incredible washed down with a Karlovacko pivo (beer). This is a must stop for lunch....well worth going out of your way for. Servers were super attentive and friendly! Bosna Express....awesome!!
google avatar

Maya R.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in Grand Rapids. I have never ever been to a european restaurant like this. The Cevapi is to die for, I get it every time. They have a large gyro menu that I'm dying to try. I'm already so excited writing this.. I can't wait to try everything on their menu!!! The interior is cool too. They have a pretty wall of beer bottles (I believe they're from all over the world). They have a beer menu of beers all across Europe!! I have been craving their soft drink called Cockta which is made is Croatia. I just love this place it's a hidden gem!! EVERYTHING IS AMAZING!!!
google avatar

Ej P.

Yelp
Hidden gem. Such great food and fantastic service. Smelt is amazing. Gyros are the best in town. Beer selection is very good with some good choices from Eastern Europe. Please check Bosna Express out!!!
google avatar

Sabina S.

Yelp
We went there a few weeks ago and the food was amazing. We got to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. I ordered the spicy gyro sandwich and my husband ordered cevapi. Food portions are huge and it is priced well. I highly recommend this place for others! I wish I had remembered to take a picture

Alissa V.

Yelp
I went for a Gyro because the reviews were so encouraging! The sandwich was delicious but I wouldn't call it a gyro. Or at least not what I would normally recognize as the Greek version of a gyro. The bread that it comes in looks like a pita pocket but the texture was bit too different than a traditional pita. Would I eat it again? Absolutely. The sandwich was delicious. (I got the garlic gyro) Would I go there for my next gyro craving? Probably not.

Yelp
First: the "can't stop, won't stop fries" are amazeballs. It's a come to Jesus moment the first time you eat them. Second: Regular menu items are all so, so good. Third: Menu prices are very reasonable. Fourth: beer selection is limited to 26 options - draught and bottled combined - but it is very diverse. Lots of world options. Last: Alcohol prices are very reasonable. Con: No Keno to keep busy at the bar or while waiting for your food. Con:. They have only one waitress. She's busy, sweet, and does the best she can. But still, it's only her. Be patient and tip her well.
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
Wow - this place is legit. Our waitress is super-friendly and very knowledgeable. Good portions and great quality. I once ate at The Breakers in West Palm Beach - Gorgonzola fries soaked in truffle oil. Best and most unhealthy snack I've ever eaten. The Can't Stop Won't Stop Fries are a close second if not an equal, at a fraction of the cost. They are probably the best fries I've had in Michigan. The gyro meat is amazeballs, and the jerky is fantastic. Do yourself a favor and pay this place a visit. Try something unique and off the beaten path here. Please.
google avatar

Jason M.

Yelp
Dude! This place was awesome. The food tasted great, came in huge portions, and was super affordable. I had the three cheese gyro and the can't stop, won't stop fries. The gyro was huge and packed with meat. There's no way I'm not coming back.....often. I'm just sad I didn't try it until now.
google avatar

Tiffany P.

Yelp
By far the BEST Mediterranean place in Grand Rapids. The "sexy fries" have a cheese sauce with a mayonnaise & garlic creating a creamy divine texture and flavor. The gyro had a surprising sauce that was unbelievable and bread was so soft! Finally, the cheesecake with lamb & beef was amazing. Forget any hesitations about physical locale, the building and space was awesome and food will amaze.
google avatar

Jon N.

Yelp
Phenomenal! I'm not a huge gyro fan but these are so good. What makes the sandwich amazing is the bread. Certainly worth coming back again when we are in town.
google avatar

Ron T.

Yelp
Stopped in today with my boys and tried the gyros. They are huge and come on Bosnian bread not pita. The bread is light and fluffy. It comes with a great Tzatziki that is homemade not store bought. I did get a Bell's Two-Hearted Ale and will say it pairs well with the gyros. I will definitely be back. Great food and atmosphere. Trust.

Yelp
We had driven by here 100x before finally giving it a try. What a terrible, terrible mistake. Mistake for waiting so long to try it, that is! These reviews are legit. The outside looks a bit underwhelming/divey but the inside the restaurant it's cozy and nice. This place is seriously amazing. My wife and I are people of routine so we always get the Philly and it has never disappointed once; whether we eat in or pick it up for home. I recommend getting the hot sauce on the side - the taste of the meat and cheese stands alone. We've tried a couple other items (the gyro fries - yum) and have yet to be disappointed. It really can all be summed up to this: Dear Bosna, I didn't give you a chance and I'm so sorry. I was quick to judge your looks and didn't give you a chance first. My mother would be disappointed in me. Once I started spending time with you, my feelings changed. Okay, I caught feelings instantly. And they've only grown over time. I know you're seeing other people and I get that...but you should know how I really feel. My sweet, sweet Bosna...I'm just going to go ahead and say it....I love you. -Stacie

Yelp
You will not believe how nice this place is on the inside. I love stopping in here when I need to get away for awhile. A real feel of a euro pub with generous tasty gyros and a large bottle selection. The staff is always very friendly. This place is clearly managed quite well.
google avatar

Abbi R.

Yelp
We order out from here for lunch yesterday. All I can say is if you like Gyros, you have to try this place! The best Gyro I have ever had in my life! The meat was thick, tender and so tasty and if was topped with tomatoes and cucumber sauce. The portions are huge! One Gyro could feed 2 people. There were seasoned fries on the side that were near perfect. I absolutely will go back. I want to sit in the restaurant and experience the whole deal. They have other items on the menu that I would love to try! I look forward to it!
google avatar

Jeremy C.

Yelp
Really a nice restaurant, even if it is connected to a bird store. Food and service was very quick. The prices that are shown on the menu photos here have since been upped. The gyros is great and different from our usual idea of a gyros. Lamb is great.
