Bosphorus Restaurant

I've never been too keen for Turkish food but decided to eat at Bosphorus because it has the best view. For my surprise I loved the food and the service was fantastic. I was also very please that they allowed my little dogs to be with me on the outside tables as not so many places would. The waiter had a constant smile and was very helpful when explaining the menu. Waiting time was average for the type of food I ordered. I'd highly recommend and I'll make sure to visit them again nest time in Cardiff.

Very attentive service from the manager. Good views from the balcony seating area. The starters were lovely, when they finally arrived after some time. We had spicy sausage, sardines and chicken balls (can't remember the right name for it.) However the mixed seafood was overcooked and rubbery. Nevertheless I must compliment their baklava which is made in house and is deliciously flakey.

I love Turkish food, but this was the worst I have ever eaten. We visited during a weekday lunch service, the restaurant was very quiet and very cold. We ordered a mezze, which was supposed to contain a mixture of hot and cold dishes. After a long wait, a disappointingly small mezze arrived and everything from the meat to the lettuce was the same tepid temperature. The food was also pretty bland. I tried a mouthful of everything, then gave up. No atmosphere and really terrible food. Perhaps dinner service is better?

Quite disappointing really, both the starters were not great, chewy calamari and over cooked prawns. Main courses average, I had the chicken and lamb, once again chewy and dry. This kind of cuisine you could find served in many restraunts on City Road mostly excellent and cheaper prices.

Turkinsh Delight - not. The fantastic location is wasted on this restaurant. The ambience was non-existent, the food was an insult to Turkey and the Turkish culture. The service was non-existent. Previous visits to Turkey have shown me I love Turkish food but this was such a disappointment. Please get your act together and put some passion into your food and put a bit of seasoning as this was sadly lacking!! You have the power to change things let's hope you do and mayb we'll give you another try.

Food was ok, not exactly hot in any capacity. Took ages to arrive, so much for an "Express Lunch". They got annoyed when I asked not to be billed the service charge and were rather rude.

Potential as set in the best site on the bay. Shame the service and the food was so poor. Served warm water, left waiting ages while waitress cleared empty table next to us without even a drink. Forgotten about and left in the corner unattended the entire time. Food was mediocre at best. Wont be going back
