I love love love this place. So many dog options and they will try and make modifications to the best of their ability. The hot dogs are just so good! They make their buns in house as well as most of the ingredients such as the cheese, sauces etc. Super fresh ingredients every time we go. They also have some amazing deals like two dogs, fries and a drink or three dogs bundle. They have options for kids too. And look at that soda machine! Super cool! The owner is there occasionally and he is nothing but the friendliest most kind person you would ever meet. They got weekly specials so my husband makes sure he goes at least once a week. Lots of parking and plenty of seating area inside and outside. Did I say I love this place?

Walked in thinking it would be another basic hot dog place. Pleasantly surprised by the different styles/variations of dogs. Got a "Boss Classic" and it was delicious. Fries were crispy and fresh. Will be back when I am in the area.

Great place, fast service. I got the 3 dog flight with the boss classic, boss chili and boss eldiablo. Came with fries. The dogs were all great, the bun can make or break a dog and the buns they use are the bomb, perfect pair to the dog and all ingredients. The fries were ok, just not my thing. The guy taking and making my order was all positive energy and loved the vibe, it seemed that he loved his work. That’s awesome. Next time I’ll try the Italian Beef and I’m looking forward to that.

Wow!!! What a great place for hotdogs! The variety is insane and the flavors?! Forget about it, out of this world!! The buns are like no place else, I believe they make the bread themselves. The fries are just incredible! Some of the best home cut fries I’ve had by far. And the service is just amazing from the moment you open the door till the moment you finish the last bite. I can tell that they really appreciate their customers

This place is legit.... absolutely AMAZING! Food and staff were equally enjoyable! The menu is huge and amazing! Nothing we ordered was disappointing in the least. We got the Boss classic, popper, BTC-M and the Boss chili mac dawg. Their garlic mayo you could put on a shoe and eat it it's so darn good. The buns.....oh good lord they are soft, fluffy and heavenly! We will be back!

This place is the perfect hot dog stop! The owner was informative and quite the salesman. The menu has all the combinations you could want and plenty you didn’t know you wanted. I recommended any of the dogs with the chili and cheese! Check this place out!

Some of the best and the most tasteful hot dogs and fries you will ever eat! I’ve lived in Chicago my whole life and this place has it! All different types of Hot Dogs and flavors! The bread is homemade along with Chili. Great environment, very friendly! Thank you!!

Was skeptical, but wanted to give it a try. Glad I did, I got the hot dog flight (your choice of 3 hot dogs and a large order of fries) I like that they make their own buns in house! Got 2 Chicago dogs and a coney dog! They have some many varieties of hot dogs I will back to more combinations

Keep in mind, products are all beef ~ may have a slightly different taste. However, that first bite, with the snap of the casing, was pure delight. In the future, I would probably ask if the bun could be sliced on the side rather than the top ~ that might have made it slightly less messy for me to eat. Brat came with fries which was enough for 2 people. If you dine in, your order comes up on a small tray and placed on top of the counter where you order. Dine in area is small. Just inside the front door are tables for larger groups and then down the hall there are 4 tables for 2. There are picnic tables outside, but only 2 have umbrellas and there is no shade. Staff could not have been any friendlier and came to check if I had enjoyed what I had ordered. That's a big " yes" and take plenty of napkins.

My buddy wanted to try this place after a round of golf at Seven Bridges and I'm glad we did! The owner was really nice, giving some recommendations on the popular menu items since there were so many to choose from. I'm all about spicy foods so the nagito sriracha dog caught my attention; awesome blend of flavors on a hot dog that really worked. The in-house garlic sriracha sauce was fantastic, going to need to get that recipe some day. Will be coming back again for the other menu items - Best, Charlie

I apologize for the cliche, but to me this place is indeed "a slice of Americana". This owner has a very nice set-up. Easy to pull in and out of, a quaint building, and the layout reminds me of an old style drive-up. It was a very nice day, with a nice group of families enjoying a casual lunch. Order to go, eat inside, eat outside, it's all good. It was my first time here, so I actually let the couple in front of me go first, while I studied the plethora of dog and sausage creations. I decided on the Boss Classic and the Jalapeño Cheddar Brat. The bun was fresh (he takes pride in his buns, which is nice), and the dogs and fries were quite tasty. There are so many options available, that I would feel compelled to try something different on every future visit. Wonderful people and a well organized ordering and assembly process. It's a bit of a drive for me, but I'll be back.

Driving up I already loved the vibe there's lots of outdoor picnic table seating and string lights next to their big sign and I noticed how clean all the tables were. Stepping inside we started checking out the menu there were so many items that sounded amazing! The owner William was in and he was super friendly and helpful explained the menu all the combo deals and great recommendations. I had to go with the boss beef (a delicious Italian beef sandwich dipped and topped with their flavorful spicy giardiniera) it comes with a generous pile of fries which we opted out of since we also ordered a dawgz combo which includes two signature dawgz fries and a drink. Again went with the recs and was not disappointed! I love this place everyone has as so fun and had a great energy! I'll definitely stop again when I'm back in town

This place is awesome. Workers/cooks are super friendly and outgoing and explain all the hotdogs on the menu. Hotdogs are tasty and it's their own recipe for the dogs and buns I'm pretty sure. Was here on a Monday during lunch and it was fairly crowded. I'll be back.

Fantastic and fun! Walked in and was greater by a large man behind the counter, at first glance I was a bit nervous, turns out he's the owner, most accommodating and friendly guy ever!!!! Dog combos are so creative and delicious. Recommend the one with the crushed hot Cheetos for sure hard to find tough to beat.

The owner works the counter! Excellent fries which are handcut and double fried. Genuine Maxwell Street Polish dogs. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great place to bring kids. Clean bathroom. Reasonable prices. Spicy chili. So good.

Highlights: & Came for Chicago hot dogs, and Boss Dawgz became my new go-to! & Amazing, amazing service, easily top ten service I received all year (2024) & Family fun ambiance Ambiance/Service: A few weeks before Christmas, it was all decorated. With the kids drawings on display, it had a vibe like someone invited me to their home. Sure it's a place of business and i paid money for the food, though the vibe of the place is a familiar hospitality. When I was there, a lady walked in and as soon as she was in the doorway, the owner greeted her by name and asked if she wanted her usual (she did). Food: & Das Brat - so good! It's advertised as "char-grilled" and it was definitely charred. This is on me, though I should have asked for it to be less charred. 4/5 & Maxwell Street Polish - same char-grilled comment as for Das Brat, and overall so delicious. I had been waiting six months for a proper polish sausage and this was so worth the wait! 4/5 & Corn dog - this was one of the rotating items on the menu, though I'd have to say this was a disappointment. Compared to the Boss Classic or the Boss Dawg, it was so small and dry. Skip the corn dog and get a Boss Classic. 1/5 & Boss Classic - it's like a Chicago dog but with added personality and creativity. The Mayo is a great addition. Loved this one! 5/5 & We also got a Old Chicago or Chicago Style. Whichever it was, it was awesome! 5/5

Boss Dawgz is the perfect place to go enjoy over 20 different types of hotdog! You can either take a single dawg or do a combo of two. They have indoor and outdoor seating which is perfect on a pleasant day. I got the week special which was a Caribbean Boss Dawg. Boss dawg with bacon and charred pineapple! The combo comes with large fries and a drink. Fries are well seasoned and better than fast food restaurant standards. On a side note they have a fun activity to keep the kids engaged. A drawing of the hotdog which kids can color into based on their liking.

Wow I drove a long way to try this place with the honest review wow best hot dogs ever the place is so nice and clean too many choices but I pick the Chicago style yum I finished everything the fries best ever had the cook asked me did I like it I said I loved it wow did taste the one my son had 2 wow so good the ambiance very friendly clean and very nice service

The two guys running the place were very down to earth and friendly. They took care of me right away. Their food is amazingly amazing. The buns were fresh and soft. Their Chicago dog and Maxwell Polish were spot on. The Identity Crisis was a perfect vegetarian version of a Chicago dog. The fries were crisp and tasty. Food-wise, this was quality, elevated fast food. And the prices are reasonable for food of this quality. Overall, this place rocks to the spiral arm! Boss Dawgs is a boss place for boss food!

Amazing food. Love all the varieties of hotdogs - I did the classic which was so yummy, but every type of hotdog that my family and I ordered were delicious. Fresh cut fries were amazing. And the butter cake is delicious. The service was also incredible. I'm pretty sure the owner was making the hot dogs, and he was incredibly friendly and helpful. We will definitely be adding this to our list of favorites.

First time at Boss Dawgs and impressed by the staff! The gentleman that took and made my order was super cool and stayed the chili and buns are made in house! I ordered the Chili Boss hot dog and it was great! The chili had lots of flavor and had a kick to it. The bun was so soft and the homemade French fries that came with the hot dog were delicious! I'll be back to try more!

This was probably my 4th or 5th time coming here. I like the variety of hot dogs, brats, and beef. I haven't tried the brats or Italian beef but the hot dogs I've tried are all very tasty. This time I did the 3 hot dogs and French fries combo with a side of cheese. I had it to go. Just to clarify, it came in a styrofoam container but nothing melted. French fries were not soggy and container of cheese did not melt. Yeah that reviewer does not know what he's talking about. Staff was very nice. They treat you like family. Plenty of seating. Prices were not expensive. -blu bayou - 5/5 - perfectly charred, hot sauce gave it a mild kick. Mushrooms gave it a savory flavor. -boss chili mac dawg 5/5 - different interpretation of the chili dog but with mac and cheese added. Great choice. -want you to want me - 5/5 - flamin hot doritos gave the hot dog a nice crunch -French fries - 5/5 - crispy and fresh.

I love a good Chicago style hot dog and found this place while searching for lunch. It was my first-time in the Lisle area and dining at Boss Dawgz and it didn't disappoint. There is adequate parking as well which is always a plus. Also, it's inexpensive and not too far from the Benedictine University. Boss Dawgz doesn't look like much from the outside but those are the type of places with amazing tasting food. Although not very big, there is seating inside. We sat inside, you order your food first and then pick it up when it's done. We ordered the Boss Original Glizzy ("OG") Street Dawg that came with 100% all beef hot dog, yellow mustard, peppers, tomatoes, and salt. I ordered it w/o celery. The meal comes with a regular order of fresh cut fries, and I ordered them well done. The hot dog was good, the bun was so light and fluffy, not soggy at all. The bun was bigger than the hot dog though. The fries were delicious, you can't go wrong with fresh cut fries. Overall, I would recommend if you're a college student looking tasty, inexpensive meal or traveling in the area and want a tasty Chicago style hot dog without all the hassle of the big city.

Today is my second visit to Boss Dawgs. First time I had an excellent Italian beef sandwich with a side of au jus and fries. The taste of the tender beef along with the au jus was excellent. I almost got another beef but wanted to try a hot dog on their home made bun. Dog was hot and tasty with just mustard and a pickle spear. French fries were crispy on the outside, hot and tender inside. The counter people are extremely accommodating as I mentioned my onion intolerance so they used freshly cleaned utensils in preparation of my meal. It's really nice atmosphere with tall tables and many lower ones, too. Self-serve beverages make refills easy and reasonable. This place and the associates rock. You won't be disappointed!

I had the Maxwell Street polish. It was good and came with home cut fries. There is a large selection of hot dogs. I want to go back and try more. the hot dog buns are made on premises. I gave 3 stars because i have more to try. It is a worth wild place to try something different.

We are repeat customer but I could never get past that a hot dog should only be a classic Chicago dog. This was the second time we had a hot dog flight (3 hot dogs and an XL fries shared between 2 of us) and we had the owner choose 2 of the 3 hot dogs. We have really enjoyed each one and can now see that there are so many delicious choices! Thanks Boss Dawg for expanding our horizons!

Just stopped in and got the Boss the Ripper comboed with some fries and the drink - had to jump right on to leave a review because that was one of the best hot dogs I've had in my life. Menu options, quality and freshness, and prices all impressed me a lot. I will definitely be back, and would recommend anyone to check this place out if you haven't already!

Listen, you go for the experience. It's a straight up chill place to hang with a few buddies who enjoy a good hotdog with a twist! The toppings for the hotdogs are fun, but it's not revolutionary. The food was hot and fresh and the restaurant clean! I didn't use the restroom so I have no idea, but the people are friendly enough. This is not your "girls let's go out!" Definitely more of a "I came here to have a quick lunch with the bros!" (I'm just saying cuz my boyfriend goes there all the time with his co-workers haha) . But I went here with him and his best friend and we just had a great time talking and there were plenty of fries on my plate to keep my mouth busy! I forgot to take a picture, but the pictures online are very accurate! And no...I didn't get food poisoning! This place is clean and legit. Just simple nothing fancy ;)

Fantastic food - don't miss the cheese on your hotdog. But by far the best part is the staff, they were all so kind that it was memorable. It was also a great place to take kids.

Service at Boss Dawgz is top notch. The staff is so friendly and we always get our orders out in less than 5 minutes. We love to try the specials that change weekly, everything is delicious. They're also particularly generous with the fries that come with each meal--portions are huge and fries are crispy and excellent. Home town heroes!

Wow. WOW! What an incredible little hot dog stand! Boss Dawgz fires on all cylinders and it is my new favorite lunch spot. Their dogs are great, their fries amazing, and the staff (owner) is an absolutely great guy. After driving past several times I finally found the time to stop in. Outside they have ample parking and even a few picnic tables (with umbrellas) for nice days. Inside they have a decent amount of seating and a menu that makes ordering easy. Well, the placement/arrangement does, the choices do not make it easy because everything sounds amazing. They also have the most inviting bathrooms I've ever been in (at a fast food joint). And that's the truth, I really had a hard time choosing what to get. However, I went with a Boss Classic and a Chicago Style (the litmus test, of course). First off, you'll be blown away by the FRESHNESS of their buns - "made fresh daily" the owner told me. And then the toppings are equally as fresh! Both dogs were fantastic but I will say this - I like a bit more of a meatier dog so I'm going double-dogs next time (not going to dock them a star for this as it's my own personal preference). As if the dogs didn't stand on their own, their fries will change your life - absolute PERFECTION. Oh, and the drink machine oozes old school vibes with handles for dispensing the liquidly sugary goodness. To top it off, I had just a minute to chat with the owner and he is a phenomenal guy. He's "semi-retired" and just does this stand for fun. And it shows! He greets everyone who steps in the door with a warm welcome and is in such a jovial mood you can't help but want to shake his hand or give him a hug (your choice). The world really needs more people like him. If you can't already tell I'm a huge fan of Boss Dawgz after just one visit. You can bet I'll be returning because Boss Dawgz is the new KING of hot dogs in these western burbs, if you ask me.

OMG...I still love this place! A big "woof" to whomever comes up with the daily specials. Today, it was the "Southside Jimmy" - a dawg dressed with chili, cheese sauce, sour cream and chopped sport peppers Utterly amazing..... (Though it should be called the "Southside George" since my late dad would've loved it. ) If you haven't sniffed this place out yet, you're definitely missing out on one of Chicagoland's best hot dog stands.

The first time I went here, I ordered the Coney Island dog, and it was absolutely delicious! There were so many others to choose from so I really had a hard time picking which one I was going to get, all the more reason to go back. The only improvements that I would say was when I went, the sauerkraut was a little dry, and in my opinion, the buns were just way too big in comparison to the size of the hotdogs. Great mustard flavors. Terrific service, great staff, and nice indoor and outdoor seating.. if you like hotdogs, I would definitely give this place to try!

Get your order super fast. Got the Chicago Classic and Chili and cheese hot dogs to try. They were very good. Hot dogs were skinnier than I thought, but the bun was soft and fresh. The fries were crispy and they give you a lot. Definitely will come back to try the other selections on their menu.

I go here with my mom all the time and get Chicago with everything and fries. The staff is super friendly and we always chat. They know to make my order first cuz I like it hot and they hold off on my mom's because she likes to eat at home. FYI she's the one that waits in the car.

This place is my favorite food stop. My boyfriend and I have made it a weekly tradition of stopping here to indulge in a two dog combo. It's THAT good! They have a hot dog for everyone, and their menu even includes Italian beef, brats, Maxwell Polish's. They also have tasty treats like ice cream, a delicious butter-cake, and floats! They have rotating specials every week that introduces new and returning favorites to their already stellar menu. The restaurant is clean overall, and has one of the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen. The staff is incredibly friendly and offer a welcoming atmosphere while you enjoy the food. I recommend this place to everyone I talk to, and I'll say it here... you need a boss dawg in your life.

Maybe the best Polish Sausage in Chicagoland! The chili alone is worth stopping in for! If you are looking for the great food that originally put Chicago on the map, you have to try Boss Dawg! The service is attentive and friendly! And did I mention.. the fries are fantastic too!

My go to place whenever I want a hot dog! There's no where else that compares to be honest. It's probably one of my favourite fast food places of the year! Love it and visit probably once a week The employees in there make me feel so welcome and even know my order now! They're so friendly and attentive and make everybody feel at home with their warm service and friendly demeanor. The owners should be proud of the fellas they have working in there, they run a tight and professional ship! The food is lovely but the service is the best I can think of out of literally all the food establishments I frequently visit. I've never eaten in but a lot of folks do, there's a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating too. Parking is good and the prices of food in there are fair too. If you want a hot dog, this is the place you've gotta try! *****

We went into Boss Dawgz today after months of driving past wondering how it was. Everything was DELICIOUS! We had two of their three weekly special items, the Boss Classic, the Want You To Want Me, and the Hot link. The Philly cheesesteak dog needs to be on the menu permanently! The fresh cut fries were absolutely amazing. We were so pleasantly surprised at how good the Boss Classic was! A combination of ingredients that gave such robust flavor. The fresh pico, the salty bacon. Amazing. The hot link was also a win! If only it was a tad hotter it would have been my favorite hands down. The staff was so friendly and the owner is awesome! So friendly and you can tell he puts a lot of thought into the items and takes pride in his creations. We also received free samples of their sugar roasted nuts and we took a bag home along with a Boss Classic and the Chicago style for our family to try. We'll be back to try more soon! I wasn't sure what to expect when we first tried Boss Dawgz, but it does NOT disappoint. It's better. Both times we have been, the food is delicious, fast, and comes with great service. There is plenty of parking, even when it's busy, and we never seem to wait at all, not matter how many folks are in there! They have weekly specials that always sound great too, but their signature dogs are so good that I have yet to try them. My favorite is the Blu Bayou - sounds strange, but the taste is out of this world. Try it out - you won't be disappointed.

We tried Boss Dawgz for the time time today and loved it. We went during a "non-peak lunch" time so we were able to talk to, who we later found out was, the owner. He talked us over the menu, options and the different weekly specials. If you like hotdogs, they have something for everyone. There is a nice indoor or outdoor eating area. We will definitely come back to try different "dawgs". Helpful note: check out the menu online prior to entering, many options and may be overwhelming for some :)

This place is the best hotdog stand around. Fresh baked buns, the fries are outstanding. We come here twice a month.

1st time here the service was very good and quick, I had the polish and small fry polish was just ok, fresh cut fries just ok too, way too many little broken fries. The house made buns were kinda mehh not steamed either. 2nd time here. Service again very good and fast. My dog was just ok the Dog itself is tiny and the house made bun looks better than it was, Its cut down the middle like a new england bun and its not steamed kinda dry. The fresh cut fries were all little broken pc's like i got the bottom of the basket. lots of specialty dog combos but all seemed way over the top weird for me like cream cheese and jalapenos, cheese sauce on every dog. No thanks. Service here has always been top notch, Get some bigger dogs, steam the buns and quit man handeling the fresh cuts and i would be a huge fan.
