Bossa Nova Ipanema Hotel

The location is a definite 5 stars, it's an effortless two-minute walk to the beach. Our room was spacious, and the breakfast provided was good. The staff was very helpful and cooperative.

We had an amazing time at Bossa Nova! The room, the staff and the whole experience was fantastic! The receptionist at the hotel Luciano helped us find the perfect tours and experiences to enjoy an amazing vacation without worrying about any detail, he was amazing . My husband and I 100% recommend this beautiful place!

The hotel's rooms are clean, large and comfortable. The bathroom is great and the amenities are good. And the best part is the location.

Location is good to walk to both main beaches, rooms are big - but unfortunately the bathrooms full with mold, air condition smelled bad. Breakfast is okay but not delicious. Personal is friendly

I usually stay closer to Leblon in Ipanema, and this was my first time staying in Arpoador. It’s a bit farther from the beach and feels more like a residential neighborhood. We booked a promotional rate, which was a great price, but when we arrived, we found out the room was in a separate section at the back of the hotel—not the basement, but almost. When we opened the sliding door to the tiny balcony, the view was just a cement wall. We were really disappointed and sad. We arrived at night so it gave me a bad taste.||We asked if there was a room available on a higher floor, and they moved us to one on the second floor, same section though. My feeling is: if you're running a promotion to attract new guests and help them discover your hotel, why offer rooms that feel so uninviting? Maybe they should clarify that the promotion is for budget travelers. I’m not sure, but it left me feeling unwelcome.||The lighting in the room was another downside, all cold, white lights. No cozy bedside lamp, just white neon-style lighting throughout. Maybe it was too modern for my taste. I need warmth and comfort at night.||The guests in the room next to us were extremely noisy—screaming, banging on the walls, blasting the TV, and generally acting out of control. We informed the reception, but nothing really changed, so I ended up knocking on their door myself to let them know we were real guests too, just trying to relax. They never answered. The whole situation felt uncomfortable and unsettling. It made me wonder if sometimes, when you stay in a budget hotel, you risk encountering guests who don’t respect the space or others around them.||I had been wanting to try this hotel for a long time because the photos on their website looked great. But the actual experience didn’t match the feeling those images gave. I didn’t stay in a room in the main tower, so maybe those feel different.||On the positive side, breakfast was plentiful and complete, and service was fast and a bit friendly. It’s a large hotel, so there are lots of tourists, it’s not a boutique-style place where you feel a personal connection with the staff. They do offer beach service and give you a slip to find a designated barraca farther south toward Ipanema.||I won’t go back, but I’m still glad I tried it.

The hotel rooms are not the cleanest.The tile on the bathroom wall were dirty. And the mattress was a FRIGHT under the flat sheet that is folded. I slept on top of my duvet and felt just fine. The hotel is often used by “content creators” The hotel is in a great area and walkable to the beach on both sides. It was cheap, so I was happy with everything.

From the outside this hotel appears to be underwhelming and not in a great area but once you go inside and then explore the neighborhood you will really love bossa nova Ipanema hotel. The hotel is modern and really well organized. The rooms are quite large and well laid out with charging sockets and lights switches in convenient places.. The location is 5 minutes away from Ipanema Beach with lots of local restaurants and grocery stores.

I went to this hotel at the end of October. First, the rooms were not very clean. There were stains on the walls and on the bed sheets. We had to ask to change them several times, as well as the towels. At the end of the trip, I bought a bottle of rum (an expensive one). The owner of the shop where I bought it kindly proposed to deliver the bottle to the hotel. When I went to the reception to pick up my bottle, they said it had been taken by someone else because the receptionist gave my bottle to another person. At first, I was calm because mistakes do happen at work. They told me they would reimburse me for my bottle once they clarified the situation with their staff. It’s been two months, and I am still waiting for my money.
