How to Spend 3 Days Traveling Route 66 in Missouri

"Boswell Route 66 Park is a serene, peaceful retreat that pays homage to the legacy of Route 66 and offers a quiet place to reflect on the road’s history." - Matthew Kepnes

Nice park. There are 2 pavilions that are pretty big with about 6 picnic tables each. There is electric if you'd need to plug something in. The play equipment is new. There are 2 regular swings and 2 baby/toddler swings. The play equipment is on some soft turf. The park theme is Route 66. There is a sprinkler by the bathrooms where you can cool off on a hot day.

Great, clean roadside stop to stretch your legs.

It was freezing cold, and we had a blast!! Rubber boots + snow = slippery, but we proceeded with caution and climbed and slid down the slides, landing in the snow. Worth the cold temp to get out for a short break. The bathroom had a warm air hand dryer, so a few quick breaks to warm the fingers made it that much more enjoyable. There is a book nook (take a book/leave a book) and that was an exciting find!! First time there, we can't wait to play during warmer weather!

Newer playground. There is a sprinkler thingy for kids and some random Route 66 murals with a nice fountain for photo ops. The public pool is right next to the park. Bathrooms available. Park is easy to find right off a busy street

There's a lot that happens here. We went for the kids day and it was fun. My son lived the rock climbing wall. There's clean restrooms, events that go on here. Not a lot of shade but a good park with the public pool right next to it

One of our most visited parks as it is the most centrally located! It's a shame it is surrounded by homeless people and so much poop in the grassy areas that I don't let my little one leave the structure. The swings and playground are always clean and in good condition.

Nice park in the city. The equipment appears new or well maintained. The ground is pressed rubberized matting. Sadly, I think a lot of the sand left with us. Lol There were many families playing, but the equipment is spread out, so it was not overly crowded.
