Wow! Fantastic little restaurant! The menu small but well chosen! Incredible meat! The service was outstanding!!! You could just feel yourself welcomed. The only thing I could criticise is that it was a bit cold at the window… We will be back and recommend you!

This place is a must during your visit to Porto. Highly recommend making a reservation before going. We did not have reservations but luckily were able to get a table because we showed up right before opening and we told them we would be done by 7pm, however they never rushed us out of there and the service and food was the best we had in Porto! Such an incredible experience. Highly recommend their steaks and octopus and the red wine selections!

Phenomenal service and staff!!!! We came here for a very long lunch! The food was fabulous and service was second to none! Amazing! We all shared the tapas and then we shared the steak for 2 (amongst 4!) plus some sides and had leftovers! Ask for some Porto Grapa, it won’t disappoint!

Google
For us it was the best restaurant in town. Super nice service who gave us a lot of attention. Steak was great quality and the sauces are home made and fantastic. Ask for help discovering the right meat for you. We choose the 1.2 kg cowboy steak. Thanks for treating us so amazingly!

I'll give them 10 stars if I could⭐️ Literally the best steak I've ever eaten in my life. Top tier quality and best service! We made reservation 1 day before as it's always fully booked, and although we have to wait quite long before our table is ready (I think the customers came late and they can't really kick out the customers out of polich which is very understandable). Artur gave us snacks (fried asparagus) while queueing and keep checking on us asking if we need anything. Once our table ready, we were given free appetizer of bread with butter and olive. We ordered T-bone steak and sweet potato side and our order came not long after. It compliments each other really well and the sweet potatoes has truffle scent on it. We asked if there's any salad in the menu but Artur somehow could sneak on a salad plate for us (for free). We really couldn't ask for more, starting from the service given and also the quality of the meal. We're so grateful to have a beautiful dinner on our last day in Porto!! Many thanks to Artur☀️🌸

Google
Reservations only made via phone call. I was able to grab a table right at opening because their reservations start am hour after opening so got lucky. I ordered the t bone, octopus and peppers, and the fried meat plus cheese. Everything tasted great. The octopus was a bit tough on certain bites that would be my only complaint. The t bone was massive and big enough for 2 ppl to share. Some parts were under cooked and they cooked it right away to fix it which was great for the flexibility.

My wife and I had a delicious steak dinner at Bota & Bira last night. We've been meaning to come here for quite a while, and we're glad we made the time. This restaurant is small and quaint -- typical of many restaurants in Porto. But the starters and steaks are wonderful, the prices are far more reasonable than other steak restaurants we've been to, and the wine we had was excellent. If you're looking for a fancy date night, you can probably go elsewhere and get worse steaks for much higher prices. But if you want to simply relax and enjoy great food and kind service, then Bota & Bira is an excellent choice. Muito obrigado to our server, Artur, for his helpful tips on food and wine!

Very happy we left the Riverside and headed to Bota Bora, the service was phenomenal and the steak one of the best we've had (even our 3 year old agreed!) Great sangria, very reasonable price given the quality of the food. A great experience in Porto and highly recommend. We hope to be back when we are next in Porto and I'm sure our daughter will be happy to see her new friend (our server) again.

Yelp
Bota & Bira was another gem found in Porto. It is a very small and intimate restaurant with two seatings, but this is what gives it it's charm. The seatings are at 7:30pm and at 9:30pm. The easiest way to make a reservation is to call. The gentleman who answered my call was so nice and very accommodating when I needed to push back our seating time. From the minute you walk in, you are greeted with warmth and genuine care. We started off with the croquettes and then ordered the rib eye to share with a side of the chorizo rice. The croquettes were amazing and flavorful. The rib eye was phenomenal!! Our server sliced it for us and plated the slices on our plate. It was very well seasoned. The chorizo rice comes in a cast iron skillet and was delicious as well! For dessert we went with the recommendation for the salted caramel pie. This was one of the best desserts I have had in a long time. It was so good and a must have for dessert! I absolutely loved my experience at Bota&Bira from the quality of the food to the amazing hospitality we received. It is a Porto staple and I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for meat lovers!

Yelp
Our Airbnb host told us about this place. We called as soon s they opened and got lucky with a seating for two. The place is small.. like very small. It's intimate which gives it is flare. It's a limited menu with mostly just different cuts of steaks priced really well compared to the USofA. There was one fish.. tuna steak and that's it. I'm a big fish eater but I wasn't going to pass up a good steak. We ordered the Tomahawk Steak medium.. it was cooked a little less than medium but whatever it was a great steak. They showed us the steak before they cooked it. It was a great cut of meat. The steak was flavorful we enjoyed it so much. We also ordered garlic prawns, mushroom truffle croquettes and French fries. All fantastic. Of course we paired it with red wine because why not. The staff were super friendly, accommodating, and energetic. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys beef.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in Porto! I was able to call the day of to reserve a table for 7-9 PM. I highly recommend making a reservation otherwise you probably will not have a table. The restaurant is small and has two eating time slots 7-9 PM and 9-11 PM. The workers were extremely nice and attentive. They suggested many dishes which were all amazing. We ordered the T-bone which was an amazing deal. The T-bone was prepared perfectly and the presentation was delightful. The waiter even divided up the food for us and served us. We also ordered some tapas which were just as delicious. The garlic shrimp was fresh and tasty. The eggs with ham were filling and had a large portion. Overall, I would highly recommend anyone in Porto to come to this restaurant! It was a very memorable and great experience.

Yelp
The specialty of this small restaurant is high-quality aged beef. We ordered the least expensive piece on the menu, a Black Angus (aged) steak for two (40-Euro). Cooked perfectly; medium rare. Bota & Bira (Eng.: "Boot and Beer") serves wine from the Douro Valley, a large selection exclusively from artisan local vintners (wine producers). Waiter: perfectly polite and accommodating in our selection of the perfect wine. Bottle prices, reasonable. To accompany the steak, we tried the "Chorizo Rice". Served in a small cast iron pot (it stayed warm the entire meal). Very tasty, not greasy at all, the rice long-grain and light. Four types of chorizo mixed in, very small pieces, accented the flavor without overwhelming the dish. These were (1) Black; (2) Regular Chorizo; (3) Alheira caca; and (4) bacon. Another excellent side was the mushroom and and black truffle croquet. Not greasy, light on the outside, then warm, soft, and very, very good on the inside. A pleasure to accompany the meal. The steak comes pre-sliced for you, and the waiter serves you three pieces to start, and leave the giant serving plate on the table. Twigs of fresh rosemary around the steak, but it does not overwhelm the flavor. Comes with a small thimble-cup of high quality sea salt, which accompanies the steak perfectly. This restaurant is very small. It seats only 10 persons or so, so you must reserve in advance. Basically, the entire meal was perfect. What a gem of a restaurant.

Yelp
B&B came highly recommended for steaks. We had reservations, so we were seated quickly. They reviewed the menu with us and gave different options and recommendations. We settled for the dry aged for 2. The meat was cooked to order but had a little more fat than we wanted. The 2 sides were great. Service was good as well.

Yelp
Yum yum yum! Rustic, casual, tasty and fun. Love the place. Love the people, food and restaurant.

Yelp
We have been here twice and would not hesitate to go a third time. It is small and very charming. Delicious.
