Bota Šare Mali Ston restaurant & oyster bar

Definitely worths one hour bus ride from Dubrovnik to come here. The seafoods is the best in our trip. Fresh oyster is must-try in Ston which will not disappoint you. Mussels are fresh and large in portion. Black risotto is amazing with lots of seafood inside.

Bota Šare is beautifully located in a historic salt warehouse right by the water in Mali Ston. The high prices here were for the views and the fresh seafood. The tuna and oysters are as good as mentioned by the reviews here. The surly service and the soggy napkins took away from an otherwise lovely lunch break from the long drive from Split to Dubrovnik.

This is a nice restaurant with a very good atmosphere and service. Unfortunately to me the food was their weakest link. They specialize in oysters and they were very good. However, we ordered the Dalmatian Muscles and they were bad. It appeared that they had been pre-steamed, then heated to serve. Half the muscles had shriveled up and were hard; inedible. Ordered an Amberjack steak (fish), and it was too dry. Perhaps our expectations were too high since we had heard about this restaurant for days. Overall it was fine.

Great place for having lunch. Oysters were extremly fresh. The nigiris not so much. The fish was delicious.

We came here for the second time because we absolutely love the oysters! 🦪 This time we also tried the fish soup - it was really delicious! 😋 And Tamara, our waiter, was absolutely wonderful - friendly and attentive! 💛

The oysters were nice and fresh. But unfortunately we were disappointed by the tuna fillet. The seasoning was a lot and it was overcooked and hard to chew. The potato and spinach side lacked in flavor too. Service was friendly.

Absolutely worth every cent you spend here. We came based off the reviews and they were accurate. We tried for the first time oysters and even though they had very distinctive and strange taste for first timers, they were hyper fresh and tasty. The tuna tartare is amazingggg - I could have eaten a ton from it. The service is fast, professional and helpful. Shout out to our waiter Denis who was smiling at all times, cracking jokes, but more importantly knowledgeable about the food and wine. We had a blast and I cannot wait to visit again.
