Botanero 21

I like to go there often to get my snack. One night, out of no reason the security came in and ask us to leave. He was very rude and no one was able to translate what his problem. We have not done anything wrong and did not talk with anyone. Is like being with ourselves. My friend has not stopped ordering all time so just moody security. The other night I went there solo and they just said we are full while I saw a lot of groups going out. I am not sure why the security think they are working for a palace not just a garbage bar. Never again, I will keep it for you.

I just passed by. Horrible place that plays horrible regueton and banda music at a very high volume in what's supposed to be a nice walking area in the city, thanks to this people Chapultepec is turned into annoying area full of milenials that spend 100pesos to get drunk with two caguamas they afford. You decide if you want to visit this place

Love the vibe, and deep house. But hosts are extremely snobby, service is very poor. I ordered 2 drinks, second from different waiter... He demanded cash, I said i was going to stay and keep having drinks but I had to pay, gave 100 for 52 bill. I told the waitress who asked if I want something else I will call police if they do not sort it out. She said Bill with 20% tip is 64. I'm like not 100. If they served me properly they would have earned much more in tips. If she brought me the change I was going to give her 200mxn. But the person who overcharged brought change after the 20% tip and I wasn't served for > 30min when I would have ordered more. In the end I spent 52 but if they had treated me like a customer I would have easily spent 300-400. Funny how places treat you, I go to Bruna and Octo 3-4x a week and have more money than Botanero's other customers but they treat me like trash.

This is a place for people who need to feel special. They only want to do bottle service , which is cheap in Mexico but if you only want a couple beers and a few tequila drinks then you are not good enough even know the price comes out the same. You see tables of 4+ people and one bottle but demand a couple to order a bottle to fulfill their perception.

They will discriminate against you if you are foreign. They told me and a friend that we had to order a bottle to eat and have drinks at 6:30 pm. So we sat at the bar. And we have been here an hour and see the place fill up everywhere with tables only smoking cigarettes and drinking beer. What a shame. Don't they know that foreigners typically tip way better .

This place has an identity crisis. It’s literally a $1 drink and snack bar. Hostess at the entrance made a huge fuss about ID and bag checks, as if this is a fancy club. We lost interest and decided to pass.
